how is that not a helmet to helmet flag when their return guy lowers the crown of his helmet to initiate the hit? is it because he's a Ravens player?

Yeah your right. Complete horse crap

we won in spite of lopsided officiating, poor play calling at times, drops, and poor clock management.

Hats off to the D today, they came up big today.

We snatched victory out of the jaws of defeat after snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory.

The Good:

- Josh McCown

- Matt Forte

- David Bass

The Okay:

-Alshon Jeffery

The Bad:

- Coaching

- Penalties

Thoughts:

-Josh McCown continues to play well in place of Cutler.

-Matt Forte wasn't spectacular, but he made several huge plays in both the pass/run game today.

-David Bass flashed on a couple of plays today, including an athletic pick 6 while Ray Rice was about to take out his legs.

-Jeffery had too many balls fall on the ground today. Nearly two fumbles lost. Luckily he's still making plays and not letting the bad ones get to him. He's slowly becoming one of the best #2 receivers in this league.

-The coaching was abysmal once again tonight. Not quite as bad as last week but pretty close. Trestman's clock management is so bad right now, I have no idea what he's doing or thinking. To not call timeouts at the end there to give your offense a chance to respond before OT was ridiculous. He's lucky they didn't get a TD and end the game right there because that would have caused fans to go bezerk. I thought the playcalling was inconsistent as hell. I did not like the conservative calls with 8 minutes left to go in the game. I understand slowing the game down, and allowing time to chew off the clock, but I'm talking about the play calling itself. Too many run plays called in that situation where they could have iced the game with more points.

- Way too many penalties tonight. That stuff can't happen.

- Defense sucked early, were okay in the middle, and sucked late. They made a few nice plays to get turnovers, but I can't stand how often they give up 3rd and longs. Damn near lost the game at the end, too.

Can't wait to get that MartyB jersey for Xmas.

Glad McCown finally decided to throw one up for the big guys and it paid off.

Now C'mon Pats/San fran!

First we gotta cheer for the giants. Then pats lol

after the game the Ravens asked for their money back from the refs for not finding a way to ensure a Raven win.

Is any game good for your blood pressure or mine lol

Good Point, the bears are the cardiac kids

and Tolzein throws a pick six to give the giants a 27-13 lead in the 4th

Add Peppers and the OL to the good.

I think McCown had the cleanest jersey out there.

San Fran? I would rather have NO win so we move into a tie with SF.

Yeah I can't believe how many penalties kept Baltimore drives alive. I guess you can horse collar now by grabbing the shoulder pad and pulling him down from the side.

Im drunk...youre right...right game, wrong team

And on top of that they were allowed to grab, interfere, hold, and even allowed to lower their helmet initiating helmet to helmet. and that's is perfectly acceptable.

Despite the win, they need to send this film to the league it was down right atrocious.

huge win...you guys on this board are never happy. Take some advice and never post during the game again.

Get use to it boys, all the rest of the games will be like this. The one thing I do think is encouraging is the young players on defense are starting to get better, so maybe down the road we will have some better results. Trestman has been making some mistakes but also did some good play calling so wont ride him for his mistakes. Glass half full

SAn Frisky goes down. If Carolina goes down tomorrow there will be 5 6-4 teams shooting for 3 playoff spots.

I'm still very skeptical on the defenses improved play of late. GB was without Rodgers and today's game was played on a really bad field. I will say that it does appear the younger guys are starting to appear to be in better spots to make plays

Not looking to stir anything but, expecting everyone to be all rosy and positive during a game thread when most games have their ups and downs is unrealistic, as is requesting that those who post anything negative in a game thread not post anymore during a game is IMO ridiculous. A game thread is the place to vent when something bad happens, and express joy when something good happens. I believe all of us here want the team to win, are happy when we do win. But just because we win doesn't mean it was without it's flaws. I'm thrilled that we won, Detroit lost, GB lost, SF lost, and will be rooting for a Carolina Loss tomorrow. It was ugly, but a win is a win, sometimes you have to win ugly.

Couldn't have said it better myself. This was 1st game thread I've joined in during the game and I completely enjoyed it

It was a highly entertaining game and I know at times we can get a little too fired up in either direction but felt it was a good game thread. I miss the days when many of us would jump into the chat room and have a good live discussion.

Glad you joined the game thread the more the better.
