Some of the trades thrown out in the media right now are complete BS. Some idiot threw out a proposal for us to trade Bagent for Anthony Richardson. Because he said that helps the Colts get a better backup QB. Yes and we get a worse backup for more money.

I am only kidding, but often do see them write something brought up here a couple days before. I just mentioned trading Carolina Kmet 2 days ago. And today on 670 the score, its being discussed.

It's just pattern recognition, I think. No one has actual inside info about this of course, but it's easy to see Roush is a great prospect and can catch the ball, to see that Kmet is being paid as a TE1, and he isnt our TE1, and to see how Loveland is doing, and it's hard then not to come to the conclusion that Kmet could be trade bait. Doesnt mean it has to happen, doesnt mean anything, certainly doesnt mean there are any leaks from Halas Hall, it's just the the facts fit a pattern that leans that way. Everyone has thought it at some point I think?

right, the more we wait, the lower the prices drop. GIven that there are at least 3 good free agent options at edge, waiting the market out makes sense. Especially when it's older players that may not wish to attend the entire camp. Gives you some time to see what you have with Booker and Turner first. Also, its possible that we will sign a LT or a DE but not both, so they might wait to see which is needed more once they see what Wills brings for example. I still think theres a decent chance we will sign Tyler Decker. Maybe its between him and Cam Jordan/Von Milller and time will tell.

Josh Sweat sucks and gets paid a lot of money for it. Epenesa would be the kind of depth signing I’m expecting except maybe we can get someone a little better. Prices are dropping with several viable options on the market. The meeting with Epenesa gives other agents an idea what the Bears are willing to spend. Plus adds a bit of credibility that they are looking to add a player at DE.

For the Packers to release him, probably isnt going to go well for Josh. I have been viewing a lot of Packer content this offseason and cant wait to see what they have to sa about this. Next Im sure someone on X is going to say , Jacobs has been linked to the Bears.

Jacobs got released today and no charges have been filed. Now they are reviewing additional evidence to see if charges were even warranted in the first place. Definitely something rotten going on.

I trust Briggs that he dont put out info for clicks. So a good chance it happened. Its just depth, dont expect a lot if we do sign him. The Josh Sweat story is just a rumor, none of these sources carry any weight. So is that rumor # 87 that someone is coming here. I think if Dayo or Shemar arent ready we will be bringing someone else in.

The Bears have brought FA DE-AJ Epenesa in for a workout late last week. Another talent to rotate with Sweat, Booker, Dayo, and Turner will help.

Wright was not very good in coverage, he had some clutch turnovers to make up for it and it was fun to root for him but lost a lot of 3rd down conversions. He gave up 800 yds in completions compared to Jaylon Johnson 517 in 2024 or 279 in 2023. Even Greg Gabriel said Decker is washed up and not better than what the Bears have. I am glad Poles stayed away from spending on washed up FAs.

I heard where DJ Moore said he cant believe so many vets aren't showing up for OTAs in Buffalo. He always was a team first guy. I also heard that Harris said that he likes the way Tyrique Stevenson is looking . I would think if they didnt think him and Terrell Smith couldnt fill the #2 CB spot they would have resigned DuShon Wright since he didnt get a big money deal. The OL coach referred to the LT spot and is okay with Jones and Theo's progress to fill in for Ozzy. I think they would have went out and signed Taylor Decker if they didnt think they couldnt handle it. He is still now signed by anyone.

I dont know if the scouting dept. has changed since BJ got here but it seems different in both drafts that we have had. They had a great draft last year and this year seems just as dynamic. It has to have the BJ effect attached to it since Poles has had a lot of misses previously.

I hate the Packers but have to say Lambeau is one of the best stadiums in the league. The only time I went there we won and that was great sitting around Packer fans.

Kmet is on the team for this year. BJ stated every year is a new reset so I am only referring to just this year. If they drafted Roush to replace Cole then why arent they trading him? He is signed thru 2027 and I suspect he finishes that contract. Next year is going to be our SB run so I think they will keep as many good players around for that . Now when Caleb gets his money , if in 27, then he will be gone but I think the Bears pick up Caleb's 5th year option in 27 and then sign him to be the big money starting in 28. I like Kmet but its not some kind of delusional thought that he's here until he retires.

if you mean next year, finding TE3 who are inline blockers isnt that hard. Kmet is not the only TE in the universe, and Roush will be TE2 then.
