AI is higher intelligence? I’m sorry but that statement alone shows how far people have already been misled.

AI is slop, it is not a higher intelligence. Are we gonna shift our worshipping of authority from talking heads to AI now?

Bears sign FA WR Scotty Miller
We are going to lose more than usual to other teams needing depth on their active rosters.

Bears sign FA WR Scotty Miller
Our practice squad this year is going to be deeper than years past. We should end up with several players who have contributed meaningful snaps in their careers.

Proof of Bias Against the Bears?
For so many years, many of us have pointed out examples of the NFL's bias against the Bears. From refs calling penalties against the Bears that were bogus. To the penalties committed by the opposition that the refs never called. And then they rob us of two 3rd round compensatory picks from the Ian Cunningham signing with Atlanta. There is an article on SI com that gives some interesting data to back up our claims: Link to article: Stunning NFL Penalty Data Suggests There is Bias Against the Bears It starts off wth this paragraph and then continues to break down the statistics. "The Chicago Bears have a league-worst -795 net penalty yardage gap since 2022. From missed Caleb Williams hits to the 'Bears Tax,' see the data that proves the NFL bias." An excellent read during a time we are starving fr Bears' info:

I was at the game. Last game of the season against Jacksonville. Taylor returned the ball from about the 20 to the 8 on the other end of the field. Near the end, he was looking for someone to hand it off to. It as a great moment. Peace

Couldnt find the stadium information thread so I'll stick this here. This video gave me some information about the stadium I didnt know. The state wants the Bears to pay between 100 mil to 200 mil a year in property taxes.. The highest taxes of any NFL stadium at this time is 9 mil a year in Los Angeles. (Expected) I now understand why the Bears are having a hard time dealing with the State government.

Bears sign FA WR Scotty Miller
poles said, and i quote the article.... "may not even be ready to contribute on offense in Year 1". nobody is talking about starting over dunze or burden, although that SHOULD be in the equation for a THIRD ROUND pick, but not ready to contribute in year one? that is the mindset of the GM who drafted this player in this round? unless your roster is absolutely set with starters, any GM who drafts a player on day 2 should EXPECT this player to be ready to start games by mid season or used in a rotation, not "contribute" two or three years down the line. not "ready to contribute on offense" is where 4th round and lower players are picked and especially if that player is predicated for special teams. by any standard that is an abysmal pick.

Bears sign FA WR Scotty Miller
A lot of smoke for a kid that wasnt drafted or signed initially as an udfa. He might pick up the plays faster, but dont think the 3rd rounder is not smart, watch his tape. They had him doing a lot at LSU. He will be like Burton coming on late. When he clicks, the Bears have pieces to exploit any defense.

Bears sign FA WR Scotty Miller
He’s not going to start over Rome nor Burden. Why would you expect that? He’s going to learn the role of the guy we signed to a 1 year contract. I know this feels odd but we’re getting the kind of depth good teams have. I’ll add that this guy is a much better route runner and hands catcher than he’s being given credit for. It won’t take him too long to show up on the field. The fact he can return kicks and punts means he’ll be active on game days so it’s easy for Ben to fit him in early on a small set of plays early on and then expand the role each week. This guy is also impossible to cover on scramble scenarios because route combinations and play structure go out the window. That affects aDB far more than a WR. Caleb will take advantage of that.

Usually all you get out of rookie minicamp are comments about players physical traits. To see and hear Dennis Allen and media members already talking about how well Thieneman is processing things on the field is great news.

I think Turner was mainly a DE and his last year, they had him put on 15 lbs to play DT. They are going to see what they got and if need be , bring someone in. Last year's Seahawks had two of their top sacker were LBers. One DE and one DT.

and I believe due to need he may well play outside this year, but Poles still hasnt really drafted DEs and I think its a problem, and so much of a problem that I think we agree that its a likely spot for our #1 pick next year? or a veteran yet to be added this year?

Its just BJ getting another log the for fire. If the young wood isnt dry enough to burn, he brings in some aged wood to burn. Common denominator (speed)

Turner was announced by the bears after the draft as being versatile defensive lineman for playing across the line. Id rather see him as a 3T for his size, but they played him outside when shorthanded and thats were they need him now...since they didnt add any. .
