  1. Past hour
  2. Nashon Wright signed a deal with NYJ. 1 yr, 5.5 million. Bears could have afforded him.
  3. Today
  4. Turner 3T, Dayo DE. Just clarifying...
  5. I'll put it this way - they lost Moore, Oz, and Duvernay - and only added Raymond. Jahdae Walker fills one of those spots - but there is still a major role to fill.
  6. I would not be happy if that is WR 3. He's a huge step down as a wideout. Production pretty low past 2 seasons. He's a solid 4/5. I think it comes down to, do they believe in Jahdae Walker as the #3 or we see them use a pick or make another vet signing here as the money starts to dry up and some solid vets are still sitting without preferred destinations.
  7. Good returner, but very dangerous as a slot WR. Speedy, good hands... I think he is probably WR3
  8. We say he likes speed - for the record Edmunds is quite fast and similar age. This is a solid move but It is far more of a lateral move. Reality is right now they have kind of treaded water at LB corps, but slightly more cost effective, while doing the same at safety - but certainly got younger and quicker at safety position. I'd argue DT is a bit better too as the new guy has a bit more burst. Offense is worse overall - our new center is not as good as Dalman, and no Moore replacement (not that it was expected - we need to see our existing talent step up) and they are replacing his funds / pick to go to defense. It comes down to - can we execute in the draft - I think they can and certainly hope they can. I'm glad they are where they are - I don't think they made any bozo moves and overall given what room they had I think they've done a solid job. They do need to address the secondary though - even with Gordon/JJ/Smith coming back, I think it would be nice to add a bit more there (or bring back Brisker on a 1yr deal). Defensive line I expect to be addressed via the draft.
  9. Don't know much about him - but they needed to address special teams. BJ is familiar with him and he seems like a solid return guy / 5th wideout. Had some pretty good years early in BJ's tenure with Lions but his pass catching production is down quite a bit past 2 seasons (special teams production still pretty darn good).
  10. This year we are seeing DA have more input in to the decision making for the defense. He likes more speed and it will be interesting to see what we ad in the draft.
  11. I'm sure there were some better choices at LT but finding one at 5 mil seemed like an impossible task. It's going to be a temporary solution. They know what to expect from Ozzy as far as progress after the injury and we don't.
  12. Raymond fills both spots as a 5th WR and KR. Basically what we paid for both Duvernay and Zaccheaus last year. The problem with free agency is the price of players is always going up.
  13. For a cheap add joe Tryon has some game. I suspect with all the money thrown around they address the DL spots in the draft. Turner and Dayo will be back and as much as they didn't contribute last year, they will count them in the mix. Dayo at 3T and Turner at DE
  14. https://www.profootballrumors.com/2026/03/bears-to-sign-wr-kalif-raymond#ref=home $5mil is a lot for a returner. Gotta think Duvernay is gone and maybe he replaces the role OZ had too.
  15. Riq Woolen is a name I like for the secondary.
  16. He is going to fit in nicely in Chicago
  17. AZ54

    Mock Drafts

Booker came out of college very young. By the time a player is 25 you pretty much know what they are going to be as a player.
  18. After some time to digest our signings I’m happy overall. The D got better up the middle, and younger and faster. Bush can hunt around the LOS so no more watching LB waiting for the ball to come to them. Demarco Jackson showed some of that as well once he settled in. It’s Edward’s best trait too. Gallimore is a backup but what I’ve seen of him he’s much better than Billings. We need a stud at DT to push everyone down one spot on the depth chart and this rotation will be better. Re-signing Braxton wasn’t a shock to me but it’s disappointing we’re not adding Decker. On the flip side they’ve been watching him rehab and know better than I do how he was progressing before the season ended. I’m glad we didn’t spend big on DE. I like Sweat and Booker as part of a rotation. Booker needs snaps to continue to progress. I’d be ok if we added Cam Jordan on a team friendly deal then a good rookie prospect in the first or second round. I also wouldn’t mind if they brought back Joe Tryon Shoyinka, maybe they’re waiting on Cam first? Seeing DomRob get $4mil on 1 Year deal was surprising. JoeT should be able to get more.
  19. I’d be fine if they’re going best available in the 2nd Rd and that turns out to be a good LB. Bears = LB
  20. He gets another shot and an offseason to work with Roushar unlike last year. He missed mini camp, OTAs, and most of training camp, so I expect some improvement will be seen. I recall he practiced right, but game time he resorted back to what cost him his position. That was blasted on TV from BJ, so he knows what needs fixin.
  21. As much as the fans dislike Dayo, the Bears think and feel different about him. I think we will have a better idea on DAs defense once he has his players. His scheme relies a lot on the back 7 for confusing and attacking the QB. Devin Bush becomes one of those threats at Will and I wouldnt be shocked to see the Bears draft a Mike round 2 like Josiah Trotter or Jacob Rodriguez since a strong Mike helped Bush elevate his game this last season and Edward's may never be the same.
  22. His hands are always late and off target.
  23. I seen that the Bears ran a lot of wide front, so not much of a need for a NT but 2 - 3Ts. Looking at Allen's DTs in his best Saints years, they averaged 6'2" 310#, everyone of them were in that range. So if this is his philosophy, then Jarrett 6'1 295, Gallimore 6'2 305, Sherman Turner 6-3 293 if a dt are in that range. Dexter is a little longer and heavier, 6'6 325. I might change who the Bears target with tonight's digging.
  24. I think Brisker will be back and DB is a huge position of need still. But overall pretty please with today’s outcome.
  25. As I look at this list, none of the pundits predicted any of our signing except Braxton coming back. So much for inside information.
  26. I keep hearing Dayo is working towards being back at training camp. For better or for worse, he's one of the DL positional players. Haven't heard anything about Turner but both could be figured in their plans.
  27. We were never in on Tyler, at the Combine, I believe they knew what kind of money the top 3 were asking for that forced the trade for Bradbury. Smart move by Poles. It allowed us to fill other spots.
