I would be impeached for various reasons...🤣
  4. As the roster is right now, there are 58 players under 26 years old on the roster. As much as the stars have different ages, I think Poles is building this to have a significate run starting this year.
  5. You need to run for politics you have the truth gene and its amazingly put in this post.
  6. Caleb is starting to look better in practice. They say Case and Tyson look better in the offense than Caleb does right now. The strength of Caleb was on display last year, not in the every down play but when the game was on the line at the end of games when he was spectacular on how he reacted at the end of games. He has some bad habits to change which will take some time. We have to remember BJ jumped on the Bears job because of Caleb, I trust his judgement.
  7. Every team has a different draft board and is not based on pundits rating in a draft. I dont know if Ozzy will be as good as Banks or Ersery but they had a plan to take him in the second. They like you agreed they needed to add to LT, just the plan was a little different. I love CC, but she works for ESPN and they get stuff wrong all the time. Being wrong on a prediction in media is a common occurance. The just of all the arguments is we will never know what is true or not true, just a point of discussion.
  8. right, she wanted Banks like I did. And I have to admit at the time, I did not consider Trapilo at all at LT, so it looked like a really bad move to let the LTs including Ersery go by. But time might well prove that Poles was right about that and I was wrong - right now tha'ts what I personally currently believe.

I watch GMFB and the FS1 daily and get gaslighted constantly. I pick out the info and discern. The latest narrative they are constantly trying to push is the Coleston Loveland is Sam LaPorta thing. BJ has consistently said that he is going to Taylor the offense to the talent he has. He has also said he loves the way the Patriots used to give you something new every week, with mixing up heavy doses of run or pass depending on the opponent. Can't we just call Loveland the unique weapon he seems to be. The combo of him and Kmet should be nasty. The Steelers did the same thing when they brought in Jonnu Smith with to pair with Friehermuth. Also, we have seen the deadly pair of Andrews and Likely in Baltimore. Who are they to tell us what our team is going to do with what player? They honestly don't know shit compared to our local coverage people. I'll take the word of J Hood, Jurko and Waddle any day over the takes of the national people. They have know clue of our depth and development process. Have y'all ever seen the parrot compilations of the media, saying person X is a threat to our democracy? Same shit with national football coverage. Tune them out and listen to the local and/or independent dudes...
  10. The Bears inquiring only drives the price up which helps them. Every draft pundent said they needed RB and Jeanty was a generational prospect, so play it. The beat writers asked if they inquired and the Bears said yes. You do that in case the price is right and to drive it up for all teams interested. As for CC, she was only relaying info she gathered. She was all in wanting the bears to take LT for her personal wants.
  11. I agree, but it doesnt mean her sources were unreliable. She reported that there was a lot of interest and activity around the Bears and Jeanty. The fact that the price was too high and the deal didnt happen doesnt disprove any of that?
  12. I never said she made it up, because her sources doesnt seem to be reliable and she didnt know at the time. Everyone gets stuff wrong but may have come from an honest place.
  13. She was reporting on the information she had. None of this really matters now, its just when the draft was happening I said I didnt think we were going to move up for a RB because I think BJ liked Swift better than the preception we had to have a #1. I dont have inside sources or anyone I trust saying this. Before the draft Poles was talking about not having enough draft picks and needed to get some. To move to get Jeanty I think it would have took maybe both #2s and a 1 next year. Maybe one #2, our 4th and a #1 next year and a third. No one knows how that would have played out. In the second he did trade a high #2 for 2 lower #2s. BJ came here and said we need this this and this. and I dont think it ever was a #1 RB in the draft. TO ME they seem to have had a plan, Loveland, Ozzy, Turner, Burden was never in a plan but being available changed the draft for Bears. I am not even saying Jeanty would not have been worth what it would have cost, just dont think that was a plan. After the draft they never said they were trying to move up for Jeanty. Maybe if everything was true, it doesnt hurt after the fact. So I dont believe it was ever part of their plan. Its an opinion and no one knows anything because they never stated afterwards what they wanted.

  15. absolutely possible. in that case shed still be telling the truth, that insiders told her this. The idea that she made it up herself for clicks is what I'm pushing back on. That doesnt sound like her. But the simplest answer is probably right: of COURSE the Bears went asking about the price for Jeanty. Who wouldnt? Doing due diligence, maybe even a little more. And obviously the deal didnt happen. After Cleveland and the Jaguars did a trade for a non quarterback and the price was a 2nd round pick, a 4th round pick AND a next years number one to go from 2 to 5, it was clear the price to move from 10 to 6 would be steep. So it all seems pretty obvious and likely to me what happened. I do think the Bears would have liked Jeanty if they could afford the trade, but not if it was a first next year and a 2nd this year?
  16. In those pressers foods of questions get used. It's plausible that ten questions were asked that encompassed everything she was going to ask. Then, it's makeup a question because I'm next. It's easy to ask Jarrett a locker room question because he's a locker room guy. Nobody is perfect...

Or she was the one they used to spread disinformation.
  18. Im not ready to call it a pattern yet I guess. When we get to where there are more substantial issues to ask about, if she keeps doing this, then I have to agree with you that maybe someone is writing her questions or making her do this?
  19. that sucks. I hope its sooner, but that isnt good at all.

Another possibility is that she just set such a high bar that there really is nowhere to go but down for her.
  22. and what do you base that it was never in play on? I dont get it. She says she has league sources that were telling her the Bears were serious about Jeanty, but the deal just never got made because they couldnt find middle ground on the price. How can you disprove that? And why would you want to?
  23. OK, I went back and found it. Apparently when a college player comes out their junior year, the website she uses for stats calls the players last year their senior year. so there were stats for his sophomore year, and then his "senior" year and she was confused about that. Its understandable - i dont think it's a knock on her, it was just a mistake based on her not fully understanding why there was a gap from Sophomore to Senior on the stat website. In explaining this she said she wasnt sure what the gap was about, and mentioned covid as an example of these things being weird in stat books. And I remembered that, but she never said it was covid, that was just my poor memory. Anyway, here it is if anyone cares. Watch from 40 minutes in to hear the story.
  24. but her reporting was just that it was likely, or heating up - and that could still be true even if it didnt end up happening! I still believe she was reporting facts - that we were interested - that talks happened.
  25. My bad. I didn't see the sarcasm. When in English Comp, they taught us that the written word is way easier to construe than the spoken, due to inflection, body language and facial expression.

Luther burden returned to the field. He’s still limited but it’s nice to finally get him going. In just two practices Loveland is already showing why we drafted him.
