Adam, one of my keepers will be Joe Burrow of which I drafted in the 8th round but my 11th round pick was Jason Smith-Njigba but I must have dropped him and picked up Ladd McConkey. Does that mean I can keep McConkey or cant use either player? If I cant have McConkey in the 11th then I will take TJ Hockinson in the 13th. So Burrow and McConkey, if I cant have him then Hockenson in the 13th.

Yes, for now we're okay but it could go south quick with 2 coming off of injuries. Also I think DJ Moore gets some carries and they have Brittain Brown on the PS. Homer can come back in 4 weeks also.

I think Swift we be fine but it is a brutal position. RJ has been in the shop more than the field the last couple years, so he worries me. I hope the new guy takes the reins and gets him #2 duties while RJ becomes short yardage/goal line.
-
With only Brown brought back on the PS, the health of RJ and Monangai must be progressing well. I will also say they expect Swift to be the main dog in the run game.

Was hoping to see RB Ian Wheeler. Surprised to see a McFadden who we supposedly thought highly enough to advertise a trade and Stromberg. Have hopes on DE Xavier Carlton who seemed to fit the size profile and was in the backfield a lot in tapes I watched.

You are so right, the scheme and OL personal is good enough to make Caleb successful. I think Chase and Tim Jenkins do good jobs at breaking down the QB play. I think Caleb just needs to make decisions a little quicker because the plays are there. Old habits are hard to break. Last year it was hard to find WRs that were actually open, this year he has several options on each play. In these plays, I notice Kmet open a lot.

I watched this game breakdown by Chase Daniels. First, apologies to Luke Newman who I said missed a block that caused an early pressure in the redzone. In fact it was a slide right protection call and our buddy Braxton slid left. How do you know Braxton messed up? Because his eyes and looking right the whole time and he's the one chasing his missed block. There are a few other misses, some on Caleb especially early. My main takeaway is that on every pass play Caleb had an answer, even the blown block above was a likely TD play if given 1 more second. After watching this I feel like Ben is setting us up for success and this offense is much closer to the promised land than I thought. There are still a lot of details to get ironed out and we're not consistent enough to recover from shooting ourselves in the foot. I can see something good headed our way later this season.

So... we have a 53 man roster with no LS? Are we going to try to keep him there and just make him a game day active as long as possible? Bears do get notified if someone wants to poach him and can make the first move. https://bearswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/bears/2025/08/27/bears-updated-53-man-roster-after-moves/85853033007/

Yes it was an existing condition of some sort.

Ok, so here's more "info" that just makes it more confusing. watching TTNL tonight, and came across this. First off, they know what it is and decided not to spill it because it's "personal" - if you hear them talk it doesn't sound like BS, I think they know, just like i think Courtney Cronin knows. They say it's "not the Bears fault" to a comment a listener said similar to mine above "there was an issue and the Bears didnt know?" the TTNL guys take every opportunity to take shots at the team when warranted, so if they say its not the bears fault, maybe it isnt. They also say its not Fraziers fault, so its not drug use or something like that. And more to the point they say "Thank God the Bears found it" as if it was something none of them knew about. So maybe the trainers detected some kind of medical issue. And they leaned on "personal" like it was testicular cancer or something. And "Thank God" fits that sort of level. So I have no idea, but watch about 5 minutes starting at 14:12

Isn't there some rules where health information isn't allowed to be shared with out the players consent? Maybe it wasn't available to the public. Then when he came to camp, they noticed a problem andhe allowed them access.

thanks, I mean, Wikipedia is wrong sometimes too, but thats the only information we have about all of this.

And here's something on X from Courtney Cronin - it says what we all already knew. But it's worded in a funny way. It makes it sound like it happened after the draft but before he came to Chicago. But if you read it carefully, it doesnt say it happened after the draft at all. Just that the Bears didnt KNOW about it until after the draft. And when someone speaks so specifically, they are usually trying to spin or hide something, in this case it feels like protecting the Bears organization from questions that they should have known before they drafted him? It could be substance abuse that relapsed after the draft, but we should have known about him being clean at least to know there was an issue. I never used to think secrets like this could be kept very long. But we also never found out why the defensive coordinator was fired either. I feel like Courtney knows, and a lot of the beat writers with close relationships know, but they also know some things are for publication, and others will make it so you never have access again, so they have to keep quiet about it. Mongo, like you, and probably all or most of us, I HATE not knowing. .

This is from Wikipedia Frazier was a highly-regarded junior college recruit and initially committed to the Kentucky Wildcats before flipping to the UTSA Roadrunners, becoming UTSA's highest-ranked recruit in program history.[5] However, he saw limited action in the 2022 season due to issues in learning the team's playbook.[6] He then faced academic issues in 2023 that led to him being inactive until the ninth game https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zah_Frazier

sure lemme see if I can find it!

This topic is driving me nuts. I don't see anywhere that he had issues in college. Can you provide details?

maybe its substance abuse. whatever it is, it caused problems in his college career too, so we should have known about it. Accountability is sunshine. Making excuses just invites mediocrity.

Picked up Jaylon Jones (former Bear). Didnt he get robbed off the PS last year? Picked up DeMarco Jackson'LB that played for Dennis Allen last year.

Makes you wonder. Maybe he cannot read to operate the computers given to them.
