Amagadje might go to OG too. From what I've read he is a tremendous specimen and just couldnt stay healthy. Of course thats all talk until we see it on the field, and i wouldnt be surprised if he went to OG -OR- didnt make the team - either is possible. But hes a sleeper.

He had 25 snaps last year. I also think The Vanilla Gorilla could make the 53 man roster or PS but he has yet to take a snap in the NFL. We have questions at LT of which Braxton Jones could be starting with Ozzy coming back towards the middle of the year. Dalman retired and we have a average vet and rookie to fill that spot. If everything goes right, Jones will at least be the starter towards the late season or next season. So your are telling me you have a Jonah Jackson jersey...ugh 23 million is a lot for a right guard for 2027. If they have Newman or Barnett developed into a starter quality by 2027, then they could look to move him like Cole Kmet. Poles will be making moves and yes I expect a few defensive guys to go too but no one is safe if you have options behind them that you feel good with. That is one way to keep them good longer.

If you watch tape on Squirrel, like you said, he runs away from people. The tape never lies. Running a 40 while being injured probably isnt the most accurate depiction of his true speed. We get to watch during rookie camp starting on Friday.

Jonah Jackson played very well last year. Not sure they start dumping good players because they have someone backing them up that hasnt proven anything in the NFL. The fact they redid his contract to get more cap space tells me , he is one they are keeping around. Next year there are plenty of players they can cut to make cap space that hasnt played well. Now after the 2027 season, I can see the prospects being groomed to take over for older vets that the Bears have ending their contract.

Actually his cap number next year is like $23M, with $10M dead cap thats a savings of over $13M on the cap! So that makes your point all the more. And Newman is waiting in the wings too.

He is the definition of a project right now, which fits the roster, Roushar will get a toy to play with, and who knows what he might become? Id say by the amount the Bears paid him, he will stick around. I haven't seen any of his tape but hope if he was a heavily targeted player that coach Roushar sees potential to mold him into the future RG. The PCL sprain was something he said he was dealing with from the 2024 season, which carried into the spring of 2025. He was never officially clocked for that 4.28 40 time, but wore the Catapult System in 2023 and was recorded hitting 23.4 mph. He was not a combine invite but a FSU pro-day ran 4.63. His testing and measurables are bad, but why not take a look at him and see if by fall he improves because he was a phenom his sophomore year at Tennessee. We can now put the Squirrel to rest and look at the Vanilla Gorilla because the TTNL guy, Phil, said he was one of the few linemen he wanted the Bears to draft.

there is no reputable source that he ran a 4.28 - he would have been drafted if that were true. Just because a media narrative catches fire does not mean it is true. We've seen that over and over. 4.6 is fast enough for a WR if they run good routes. Keenan Allen was around a 4.6 - but you cant call him a speed receiver, it's just not true.

Eye test, during game play, says he's very fast. The 4.6 was on a strained PCL. More info is out on the 4.28 than the other.

He's a speed guy that will get a chance to compete for a spot, probably end up on the PS, as far as a long term asset, very doubtful. At a time when the draft has settled in, just something to talk about.

yup, and hes going to be a stud for us when hes ready. Maybe right away, maybe after a bit, but we wont need as many cute trick and pass plays for 3rd and 1 when hes in there.

I hope he can learn all the WR positions and the complete route tree since he could be moved all over the field. I was shocked to see the academics honor, gives me a better feeling about his potential.
