    My guys

Derrick Moore is getting some attention. He has that relentless gene in him.
  3. Today
  4. I just heard someone talk about Anchorage on the radio. They said it was a beautiful place. I've traveled to 35 countries but never thought to visit Alaska. Is it worth visiting?
  5. I am old at 73 and never remembered that history. But immaturity and lack of living in the past, my brain just reached the 20s again. I'm always looking forward but respect the past. Having had season tickets for 2 yrs, I would appreciate a new stadium, the location doesn't really matter anymore. I like modern bathrooms. (The plumber in me).

    My guys

I see all this Lee Hunter hype but McDonald is a rare beast. IMO you take the route run stopper over the guy who will offer a good but not great mix of both. Then you just have to pair him with a good 3tech of which there are several in rounds two or three.

    Mock Drafts

I agree. Too big and stiff to be a good DE and not big enough to be a full time DT. I can’t imagine him becoming more nimble if he adds weight.

    Rumors

I was thinking I’d take Budda Baker and a pick but then I saw his $20mil/yr contract.
  9. At one point, I liked Overton but the Indiana game soured me on him. Reminds me of Dexter.
  10. I'm not old. I just know things. 60 is the new 40...🤪😎🤌🏽🤌🏽
  11. I mock draft to learn about players. "My Guy" tonight is 5T/edge LT Overton. Another chess piece that can play DE or slide inside. The guy disrupts wherever he lines up. Pair him with McDonald or Banks and the Dline is rejuvenated with the first two picks.
  12. I know what I wanted to type but my fat fingers and auto correct don't mix well... like my sponsor... captain morgan and coke.
  13. Given your advanced age Im not surprised you know that. 😝. But yes that does provide me some comfort. Anything to get me out of my “feels”. Lol.
  14. Can’t remember if I covered this but was born at the Great Lakes Navy Hospital (both parents were officers there - I returned 17 years later to begin my own naval career). Anyhow, mom and all her family were spread all over Illinois. Grandparents lived in Woodstock. When I was wee kid I could remember the drive to Woodstock from O’Hare was an eternity and. A lot more open country. More recently after my grandmother passed I made the drive and I swear the line between Woodstock and Chicago no longer existed. Crazy. Hell on the way back to the airport I stoped at a quick stop and there was GB shit everywhere. Talk about insulting. Anyhow put in the context of how much the urban sprawl of Chicago has swallowed up it makes sense that a podunk town like Wolf Lake might be just a Chicago suburb anymore.
  15. Looks like you might have forgotten to write which alcoholic beverage supported your post. Lol.
  16. A 2nd round and id consider, but you better believe they would be drafting one day 2 and they would still be more vulnerable without Tyson. Backup QBs do not get reps like the #2s at other positions do. In fact they rotate often to give rest at most positions except for oline. So a backup QB is something you want someone who knows the system and can function in it. Caleb is not invincible and one day he will miss time. Would you prefer Tyson Bagent or Cade Klubnik QB Clemson in the 3rd round? Now say this happens week 13 and we face GB and Det the following weeks with playoffs on the line. Bagent might not miss a beat where a rookie might be a deer in headlights
  17. We're the pride and joy of Illinois....errr Indiana...Chicago Bears...Bear Down.
  18. Wolf Lake area of Hammond. Wolf Lake straddles the two states, just west of Whiting.

    Rumors

Thank you, I get lazy sometimes. That's the guy. I don't know if the Bears still have ties to him but had him around a couple of years.
  20. History does matter. If Hallas was still alive today, he would be the first person to go where he makes more money. He was the tradition.
  21. I understand your point, I live 90 miles northwest of Chicago, they are now going to be 35 minutes from Chicago. It's just a metropolis to me. Once I hit Huntley it's all just City driving well into Indiana. I don't go to games anymore. Maybe I would look at it differently if I still did. My TV doesn't know the location of the stadium.
  22. Would help you to know that Hammond is actually a Chicago suburb or that Papa Bear started his football career there? The Bears are rooted in NW Indiana for over 100 years...
  23. Meh...beg to differ. Being a traditionalist it doesn't sit well. Yes I know as far removed as I am it shouldn't matter a bunch but having grown up as a CHICAGO Bears fan, its hard to accept the idea of them physically being a NW Indiana Bears team. Yes I know I was told nothing really would change but to me this seems like a slower motion relocation similar to what Modell did with Cleveland back in '95. Is my "cope" that technically they'll still be in the greater Chicagoland sprawl?
  24. Is this for the potential move to Indiana or for the land they acquired at Arlington? I had heard some talk asking what the team would do if they ended up not going there.
