  1. Past hour
  2. Lots of pundits nervous because of only two healthy RBs. First I think they know the health of Monangai , RJ, and Homer enough to cut some of their RBs. I thought Wheeler looked good but they must like Britt Brown better. I think they will bring Wheeler back to the PS but maybe another teams cut may be more desirable than him. I think they will add some names not already on the team. I doubt they will be any LTs of value cut because of the importance of the position but DE may have some talent available. Britt Brown looked okay , what is your opinion? Cam Akers got cut, anyone like him?
  3. I bought his name up for the reason they are trying to trade McFadden. AZ understood the post but of course, you have to question every word I print.
  4. Today
  5. he looks big and bulky to me, like you said, no bend, he might be able to set the edge, but i dont see him getting around anyone on a pass rush. This is a real problem.
  6. Dayo’s problem IMHO is that he is weak. His arms fold up at first contact and his body always bows backwards. No core strength. He has quickness and speed but little bend and can’t marry it up with any power.
  7. LOL yup we have definitely addressed the OL this offseason! We still need to look at LT, and Im sure we will look again at OL next year too, but it's good that we are finally taking it seriously. We should be able to run the ball this year. Now if we could only get a pass rush...
  8. It's amazing the transformation. We have three former IOL playing for the dolphins. And three more that could be traded in Bates, Kramer and Feeney. Finally, depth!
  9. Yesterday
  10. Trading an IOL was not on my Bears bingo card.
  11. right, and theyve got McFadden on the trade block now.
  12. Because Newman outperformed him and might make the 53.
  13. They are talking about McFadden, not Newman.
  14. I think Newman has showed well in the preseason. He played well against Cris Jones. He will make the 53 man roster. I cant see them getting rid of Kiran A. either. He's not showed well but still has lots of potential.

  16. Wheeler got cut surprises me. I am sure will be a PS get.
  17. Placed DB Zah Frazier on Reserve/Non-Football Injury. Waived the following players: DB Millard Bradford DL Xavier Carlton DB Alex Cook LB Power Echols DB Kaleb Hayes QB Austin Reed RB Ian Wheeler TE Joel Wilson Released the following players: DB Tre Flowers RB Royce Freeman OL Joshua Miles
  18. Invitation sent to ScottSeacrist@yahoo.com.
  19. Adam, I talked to Scott and he looked and couldn't find the invite, could you send another invite? ScottSeacrist@yahoo.com
  20. As much as all that sounds good, I will wait to see a full year to sort of grade them. I also heard Banks looked good but is all of that just preseason hype to s a certain extent? Simmons was the 32nd pick and Ersery was pick 48. Lots of people praise rookies because they usually are compared to who they drafted to replace. The season starts in two weeks, so now the real snaps count so we get real looks at every rookie.
  21. Air Ersery is now the starting LT for Hou after Cam Robinson was injured. Will Anderson says he will be great. Looks like 2 LT targets are blooming (Simmons and Ersery)
  22. going forward I dont think we are going to be having major FA signings anymore. Our Cap is topped out , so we will add by draft or lesser FAs hoping they find a diamond in the rough. So the drafts over the last few yrs have to be our core with maybe one or two high draft picks added every year. That is the reality of where we are right now.
  23. Not yet. Also, as much as we all love the 53-man roster battles, something like 1% of the bottom 5 players on a 53-man contribute in a meaningful way. At the end of the day, the Bears need better starters, which pushes better players down to backups. Right now it feels like they need that at LT and RB on offense, and Edge and CB on defense. So LT and Edge need to be priorities with CB, then RB as the next with Safety as an honorable mention.
  24. So these have already been cut? Ojulari would interest me.
  25. It is definitely a different vibe this year. Everything you said will make a difference but every time we have a setback fans resort to a lack of trust. I think by the bye week, we will start seeing our future but we will have mishaps along the way.
  26. The biggest concern with Caleb was holding onto the ball too long, as that led to too many sacks. If nothing else changed, and he got the ball out quicker, cut down on sacks, then the results will come. Here is Caleb's TTT compared to other QBs: In the KC game: • Patrick Mahomes 3.69 TTT • Tyson Bagent 3.08 TTT • Caleb Williams 3.06 TTT Caleb Williams on 25 pass attempts in the preseason this year: 68% completion 8.8 Y/A 122.1 passer rating 71.3 PFF passing grade 2.89 TTT Drake Maye, another second year QB in a new system (12 att): 58% completion 4.8 Y/A 70.8 passer rating 36.9 PFF grade 3.30 TTT So I would say he is passing the test so far, no delay of game penalties, no wasted time outs, no INTs, and only 1 sack.
