  2. I did think of a concept, but don't know much the hospitality industry. Imagine a 50yard entry barrier around the stadium. Then, picture all of the entertainment, shopping, food and drink establishments surrounding the perimeter. Here's the unique part: on top of the forementioned businesses, place the hotels with parking garages on the back side. That way people and buildings would surround the venue, making it easier for everyone to access. Of course, this would include a couple tailgating areas with bus and Uber lanes.

I know they are not in pads but a lot of people saying Braxton Jones gives off a positive vibe with attitude and body improvement in camp. JJ is moving well after the injury plagued season last year. Lots of people praising Sweat for his work and body improvement.

That is going to be the 4th TE, and did leave off the RBs , my bad.
  5. Im not trying to say this is what it will actually be , but just saw this and thought it may show a positive example that is going to become a reality in the great state of Indiana
  6. Why are you dragging Kentucky into this discussion?

  8. I think that may be a private mock up. Hammond is on the other side of the state... Lol

I was good on receivers until someone named Large showed up on the list. Swift and Monangai can both catch passes.

Some pundits are saying the Bears still need another WR. Rome/Burden/Raymond/Walker/Thomas//Scott Miller||||| Loveland/Kmet/Roush/Large WHY? Dayo is on the field. all I got
  11. Because some fans are stupid. Just like the Chicago politician that said they were building on a toxic wasteland. Here is what it looks like and I will be happy when the Bears give the finger to the Illinois politicians for playing games.
  12. But Indiana is so inferior. The people are inbred. The women are ugly and the men have small penises. The state smells and is ugly. We try to make up for all these inequalities by having better govt, roads, less taxes and skyrocketing GDP. We're pretty nice down here too. Well, we have to, due to being so inferior...🤔🤪
  13. Nothing has changed. JB said he cant expect the taxpayers to pay for this. Yet now he doesnt care if they do because losing the Bears will make him look bad. Illinois is 200 billion in debt. The only way to pay for it is new taxes in a state that is 3rd in the country with taxes. I cant believe how stupid Illinois Bear fans are. they move 25 miles away, Indiana will pay for it and they get a new stadium. Those all sound like a plus to me.

  15. They can make a parking lot on the Illinois side of Wolf Lake. Would that satisfy people? Fort Campbell's address is in KY, but most of the fort is in Tennessee.
  16. Oh, the room has been read and found wanting. I've seen crazier things in my life than a scenario that has NOT been finalized. This is such an Illinois drama. Thus the moniker, "the Windy City". It's not done until they say it's done.
  17. Read the room. Illinois politicians are publicly blaming the Bears. They never thought they had to compete for the Bears. When they did, they blamed the Bears for exploring options. That’s because they can’t compete. Nobody in IL is going to do a diving save for this.

It sure would be nice to see him be a viable option. He had all the measurables for LT but needed additional strength. If he can overcome the injuries and take the coaching up, it would be a bonus since we probably will not have a shot at drafting a great prospect anytime soon.
  19. One last thing: the Illinois govt can still do a hail Mary. The governor can call the House and Senate back to Springfield and talk Bears and Bears only. Illinois is still alive...
  20. Mongo3451 replied to Stinger226's topic in Bearstalk
I read that Kiran is working at LT with the 2nd team. It would be great if his injury history is behind him. (Torn quad, torn calf, elbow and undisclosed leg injuries from his senior year till last season). That's a lot for such a young guy. I don't recall any player being injury free after having so many in a short period of time.
  21. Something I've experienced my entire adult life is a blatant Chicago arrogance. I went to IU and many Chicagoans came down to Bloomington. They didn't say they were from Chicago. Instead, they were from the city. If you weren't from there you simply knew nothing about life. They learning quickly that us Indiana hicks weren't as naive to life as they assumed. Fast forward to now. Some of the radio and TV rants I have heard are simply 1984 all over again. The people calling in are simply ignorant and falsely superior. Heck, some Chicagoans don't even respect or recognize the suburbs of Chicago. They are crying like Indiana can't handle a team like the Bears. Indy hosted a Superbowl and it was first class. Indy also hosts the world's largest sporting event, with a seating capacity of over 300k at IMS for over a hundred years. I'm five years, Chicagoans will marvel at what Indiana pulled off and regret giving up their season tickets to the hayseeds of the region.
  22. Why does some arbitrary line on a map determine fandom? How long have both the Jets and Giants played in East Rutherford, NJ? The Cowboys play in Arlington, 49ers play in Santa Clara, Rams/Chargers play in Inglewood. Do fans really stop rooting for their team if they move outside of city limits? On the flip side, does that mean if you do not live within city limits, you can't root for your favorite team? At the end of the day, whatever puts the best team on the field while providing the fans with the best live experience should be all the fans are worried about. If they get lower taxes and that gives the team more capital for higher guaranteed contracts, then that is a good thing. Remember that teams are required to pay 100% of guaranteed money into an escrow account upon contract signing. That is why guaranteed money is becoming the most important value of a contract to track.
  23. More importantly is the increased operating cash enabling signing better FA and paying higher coaching salaries.
  24. The better situation Indiana put them in will only raise value of the team.
  25. You're right, I was way off in my concern. I decided to use good ole "Ask Gemini" about NFL team ownership and was amazed at the answer (assuming it is correct.) He states:
  26. They rent right now and its worth 9 billion,.
  27. Many of us have not shied away from admitting we'd love for the team to be sold. How does this "rent" scenario affect the team's value if sold?
