  2. we would have had Burden either way with pick #39. This was downgrading from Ersery to Trapilo to get Turner. If we had taken Trapilo while Ersery or Banks was still on the board, then id read that our guys saw something extra special in him, in which case Id give it more time. But we didnt, we got cute traded down and then took Trapilo. Now Im not saying Trapilo won't develop and be good, but what i am saying is Ersery is already looking GREAT to the point where his team is looking to trade the free agent they just signed who was going to start, but now wont because Ersery got the job already. So the question is, is Turner going to be worth going from Ersery to Trapilo. Im not trying to predict the future with Trapilo, Im saying that right now, we got too cute in the draft, and missed the solid players we need. It's like Loveland. Hes obviously a great player and we are lucky to have him. But is he better than if we'd taken a pass rusher like Mykel Williams? If Loveland isnt an impact league leading TE, then pick 10 was too high to take him. Im saying that I LOVE our new coaches. And I really like Burden and Loveland a lot. But Im not sure Poles is doing that great of a job. He took Williams, which I think will turn out to look very good. Of course every single GM in the league would have known to do that. Even most of us here understood that was a no brainer. So does that make Poles good? Then he got Ben Johnson. Also a huge feather in Poles cap. And again, an obvious no brainer decision. And Johnson chose us as much as anything, and that was because of Caleb. Again, huge score for Poles, but does it mean he is a good GM? Wouldn't any GM who needed a new coach have wanted Johnson? I think Poles traded down too much in the draft. We could have even had Loveland, Burden and Ersery! And then Skatebo. Again, not dissing Monangai - if he plays like he looked in camp, then that is indeed a good move by Poles. But we are severely limited at LT and Pass Rush. These are huge problems at premium positions. We knew them going into the draft, and here we are after the offseason, and they are still glaring issues. It's nice to have 5 (6?) real playmakers WR and TE. But if Johnson is such a schemer, maybe we could have had one fewer TE or WR and address LT and Edge for real. It's frustrating because this was easy to see the whole time. I kept saying it. Before the draft, during the draft and now. We basically tried to fix the LT and DE with reaches we bought from a single 2nd pick we traded down. That's trying too hard, and in the end you out-think yourself.
  3. Valid point. One elite pass rusher doesn’t win the day. The best pass rushes come from all directions even if one is not elite. They still have Gary and they got better overall. Pass rush has to be paired with coverage and that is their weakness.
  4. Eagles sack leaders last year. Joel Sweat-8, Nolan Smith 6.5, Jalen Carter 4.5, Milton Williams 5, Brandon Graham 3.5
  5. Jurko really liked Ersery pre draft. We have Roushar, Johnson and Poles who came up with the picks they liked in the 2nd. They must have really liked Trapilo to pull it off. I'm going to stand on liking the trade until Trapilo is a bust, because I really like Burden and Stewart.
  6. We didnt draft Banks, Ersery or Simmons, so you should probably get over it.
  7. Today
  8. Parsons 47 mil a year. Love 30 mil this year. Gary 26 mil this year The Cap will not be a problem this year but going forward they better win a SB in the next two yrs because the cap will be upside down in the near future. 2 firsts and Kenny Clark for Parsons.
  9. You like to talk, I will bet you 100 that the Packers dont go to the SB this year. We can send the money to Adam to hold. I am willing to lose to you and I would hate to do that.
  10. Who should have been Ersery. Instead, we trade pick 41 for Trapilo and Turner. It's a mistake. Too cute in the draft room for Poles again.
  11. so your point is that having a dominant pass rusher doesnt help you win superbowls? Did you watch the last one? DId you see the Eagles D line nullify Patrick Mahomes effect on the game? After QB what position DOES correlate to super bowls? and here's you: "Braxton Jones is gonna try really hard, and were gonna just get better and try really hard and dig down deep and try really hard"
  12. @ first round picks gone for the Puckers. Hope it cripples them for good.
  13. If he continues making those bonehead plays, he will be turning the spot over to the next guy up.
  14. Your talking about me and answer the question, how many SBs did he win in Dallas? How many SBs has Garrett won in Cleveland, Crosby with the Raiders. Absolutely it would be nice to have him and its sucks that GB got him but we arent going to forfeit the season because of this.
  15. Braxton is not good enough. Excuses are excuses. Hopefully Trapilo is ready at some point soon to replace him.
  16. I dont know whats gotten into some people on this board, but Micah Parsons is a stud. Us not getting him is bad, Packers getting him is bad. Im so sick of the rosy talk. Can we be real? We have a coach that is real, its time for us to be real too.
  17. Not sure. I know if it's noisy, he usually turns his head to hear the QB and should've seen the back was not there. Then, he should've noticed a man was over the guard and the other guy was uncovered. Inside out theory. Bonehead play.
  18. It doesnt make them now the best team in the NFC, but they got better. How many SBs did Dallas go to while Parsons was there? Would everyone agree that Prescott is a better QB that Jorden Love? I dont like seeing this but it guarantees them nothing. It will totally screw up their cap going forward. How many players are now, when its their turn, going to want big money.
  19. All the smoke and mirrors they use at the LOS pre-snap means defenders are out of position. We have the WR talent to exploit that. We need Caleb to figure it out quickly too. Fortunately Ben Johnson is no stranger to their tricks. Being at home where our players can hear each other helps a lot too.
  20. Looking over some numbers between the MIN DEF and CHI DEF from last year. Surprisingly, CHI had a higher QBP% at 36.5% to 35.7%, only allowed one more TD (37 to 36), and CHI allowed fewer passing yards per game (218 to 242). MIN actually allowed the 5th most yards through the air in 2024, but they were stout against the run (2nd). This sort of plays into the Bears strengths as the WR/TE rooms are close to elite compared to the RB room.
  21. Yeah, only Burrow and Hock are eligible as you have to draft the player and they need to be on your final roster, so McConkey would not be eligible. So it would be Burrow for a 7th and Hockenson for an 11th.
  22. Adam, one of my keepers will be Joe Burrow of which I drafted in the 8th round but my 11th round pick was Jason Smith-Njigba but I must have dropped him and picked up Ladd McConkey. Does that mean I can keep McConkey or cant use either player? If I cant have McConkey in the 11th then I will take TJ Hockinson in the 13th. So Burrow and McConkey, if I cant have him then Hockenson in the 13th.
  23. You probably know this, when Caleb calls a play, does he have to reference a line call as he see how the defense is set? If in a noisy environment could Jones miss some line calls? Everything seems fixable .
  24. Yes, for now we're okay but it could go south quick with 2 coming off of injuries. Also I think DJ Moore gets some carries and they have Brittain Brown on the PS. Homer can come back in 4 weeks also.
  25. I think Swift we be fine but it is a brutal position. RJ has been in the shop more than the field the last couple years, so he worries me. I hope the new guy takes the reins and gets him #2 duties while RJ becomes short yardage/goal line.
