  1. Past hour
  2. Crazy how both Mongo and Adam are right on the line from CST to EST but Alabama seems like it should be EST and Indiana CST 🤷🏻‍♂️. Glad this game is on a Saturday for those that will be close to midnight when it’s over.
  3. Today
  4. Because I’m curious I assume most of the Talkbears group will be watching live and those that are in the Chicagoland area it’ll be about 7pm kickoff time with AZ area about 6(?) pm. East coast (adam) about 8 pm? Stinger (I assume) will be in Thailand (?) and watching at sometime tomorrow morning? Here in the AK it’ll be 4 pm.
  5. GB now +1, which is exactly where it should be. My congonkulator has the Bears by 1.3, but that is too close to call. Refs can impact the game by +/- 3, so this is well within the margin of a pick em game. To me it comes down to the Bears defense ability to stop GB enough to win. I think the Bears score at least 20, 2 TDs and 2 FGs, but I am hoping for 3 TDs and 2 FGs for 27. The defense has to hold GB to a max of 2 TDs. So 20-23 total pts allowed. 27-23 seems like it is the most accurate projection.
  6. If someone else gets injured in pre-game warmups tonight, I'm going to be livid. Really worried about Edmunds and Swift, in particular.
  7. Thank you thank you for not calling it a pitch count like all the so called sports journalists.
  8. Right now, the Bears have 3 likely scenarios to get in: 1-Beat GB + SF/DET = clinch division 2-Beat DET = clinch wildcard 3- Beat SF + SF beats SEA = clinch wildcard The Packers game by itself doesn't guarantee anything other than allowing the Bears to clinch the division the following week. The last two games are the most important for the tiebreaker, with DET being the most important due to them already having 6 losses. Beating just SF and getting in is possible, but they'll need help from SEA.
  9. The game is 16 hours away, we get to watch targets live. DJ will not be ignored.
  10. Edmunds will probably have a snap count but that's okay because D Jack is playing well.
  11. Edmunds given green light to play tomorrow (Saturday). Good to see him back.
  12. It will be better than the last two weeks, it won't be a problem.
  13. BJ will scheme this to fit whatever personal is on the field. DJ will get a proper number of targets which is a good thing. Kmet and Loveland will have big days. Both of them have a high percentage of catch rate. We get to see Walker get some snaps and it will work well because GB doesn't have any tape on him . He will surprise.
  14. Weather will again be in play, at least for the kicking game, and maybe for the deep passing game in one direction. Temps will be near freezing with wind in the teens. Real feel in the 20s, which will feel balmy compared to what the Bears played in last week.
  15. The last game in GB came down to basically one play, and that was with Parsons and Tom playing for GB. If Tom is out, their offense is weaker. The Bears defense is technically healthier now compared to last game. Missing Odunze and Burden will hurt the Bears offense, but the Parsons loss lessens those losses. The Bears also had one game without Odunze already, so they are really just replacing Burden's targets in this one compared to last week (which is easier to do in a week). GB scored 4 TDs last time, I think the Bears hold them to 2, but allow 2-3 FGs, so 20-23. I think the Bears offense scores 3, and that is the difference in the game. Bears 27-20 or 30-23.
  16. Yesterday
  17. Nah, Loveland and Moore will be the leaders in receiving. And I'll go on record saying IMdO Loveland will be a force in this one.
  18. Looks like Texas A&M by way of Grand Valley State University (Allendale Michigan). I couldn't remember him from the preseason but then saw a bunch of highlights where he did that crazy floating running thing along the sideline.
  19. I think with the losses of Burden, Odunze and potentially Swift this week, the game will come down to BJ calling a clean game. He needs to come out like he did against Philly and play ball control with a lot of running and set Caleb to 'game manager'. I can see Moore and Kmet getting a lot more action this weekend.
  20. I wanted him to get a little more work in the last game but he ended up with just 8 snaps. However that little bit gave the coaches a glimpse of how well he did his job. Caleb got to see it too which on all the timing stuff we run is important to give the QB some confidence in him. Toss in another week of practice with the 1s.
  21. I think Jahdae Walker is a hidden gem. I forget which program he came from, but they didn't feature the pass. He's tall, agile and fast. (A trait we don't have in the starters). I really liked the contested catches he made in the pre season. He showed Tyler Scott the door.
  22. Been Johnson tells it as he sees it. I was surprised by how complimentary he was of the depth we have at receiver all the way down to guys on the practice squad. He said they’ve been practicing well and have a good understanding of the offense. No names were mentioned but obviously Jahdae Walker is one of them. Are we about to be pleasantly surprised again by one of our backups?
