it's like an NBA game - you really score by getting a defensive stop. ANd maybe DA is saving some nasty stuff for the right moment at the end. I kind of feel that a lot of our midgame woes are because if we start pressing early, they can respond with our lack of pressure. So we kind of try to slow things down and get to the end game where we pull out our aggressive stuff for the surprise knockout. All this changes when we have a D line that can pressure the QB. That's the missing piece.

Bears continue to embarrass themselves in the middle 8. How Caleb misses that easy throw I have no idea, but now SF has a golden opportunity to make this a two possession game to end the half instead of the Bears doubling up, like they should have done.

We need a D line - we knew this in August. It's amazing how opportunistic our defense has been, but most QBs this year that we have played had plenty of time and it makes it just too easy to pick us apart. Good news is it's SO obvious that Johnson and Poles must know it and they will make it a priority this offseason.
