first off what does that even mean? Please explain the logic behind that. Secondly, I wanted Banks or Ersery, had never even heard of Trapilo until the draft. Thirdly, the ONLY reason I expected Trapilo to win the job is because of how bad Braxton Jones is. If you want to tell me you look at tape, and with your OL expertise you think hes a good player, then I call BS on your expertise as well. So far, with the exception of one brain damaged member here, we've been able to treat each other with respect in these conversations. I hope that continues.
-
Sorry, I trust many opinions over your tape watching ability but none of that matters . Its only matters what the Bears coaching staff thinks and for now, he is our starter. So you dont put words in my mouth, he is very average, I hope he plays better.

we tried out 10 players today. https://nfltraderumors.co/bears-tried-out-11-players-including-veteran-ot-zach-banner/

Since you got the Trapilo thing so right, I call BS to your BS...🤪🤌🏽🍻

OMG just watch the film - Braxton is a liability. Poles spent a 3rd round pick and then a 2nd round pick to try to replace him. Why? Because he sucks. 50 different football pundits that repeat a narrative and didn't watch the tape. Pathetic. Listen to Poles when he didnt realize he was on camera. Ignore the entire artile and who wrote it - just watch the 30 seconds of video and hear it from his own mouth. Jones is not the answer. Leno 2.0 https://www.sportsmockery.com/chicago-bears/ryan-poles-caught-on-camera-admitting-worry-about-left-tackle-issue/

Im going by 50 different football pundits that said that. People that played football, coached football or announced it for yrs. You're entitled to your opinion and its okay if lots of people disagree with you. Its just opinions.
-
starting does not make someone starting caliber. And I call BS on the idea that Braxton is currently an average NFL LT. Is that a PFF rating?
-
I feel like the key will be taking away the easy early read and making McCarthy hesitate. Even if Nailor plays he hasn’t had much practice with him. Not being on same page on offense is how big mistakes are made.
-
Dalman is probably not the third best OC in the NFL but but he is top 10 and is a huge upgrade for what we had. We have an out in two yrs if we can develop someone. Newman has taken some center snaps and I still think Ricky Stromberg has upside. I dont care if we gave him big money,. he is a key to our line improving.
-
I dont think their first choice will be to trade someone, they will play with contracts. Edmunds contract has an out next year saving 15 mil with 2.4 dead money. If Sewell or Hyppo is ready they may go that route. I think BJ having a bevy of weapons will be reluctant to start getting rid of them. If Burden is ready to fly, Zacchaous is the slot WR on a one year deal and his spot is open. If Caleb is the real deal , we will have the best set of weapons in the league with DJ, Rome, Burden, Loveland and Kmet.
-
If Braxton plays in the 12th range, would you trade DJ Moore after the season so they can extend Braxton?
-
I have played with you for a long time now and an complementing on being good at this. I use to be in 6 leagues and there is always a few people that consistently do well and you are in that category.
-
I hope he balls out but I dont think he will ever be a tier 1 LT, if he makes top 12 I would be excited. Will that be enough for BJ, dont know that but if he plays well enough for the offense to function is all I care about.
-
Looking at the contracts, I am still loving the Dalman signing. The 2 Centers with more APY than Dalman are from PHI and KC, pretty good company.
-
I started playing in 1995 via Sporting News. You had to call in your changes every week between Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. Then they would mail you the results weekly which you may not even receive until Wednesday or Thursday anyway. If you wanted a waiver wire pickup, you had to pay like $1-2 per. It was crazy. One of the biggest factors is also the waiver wire. Every year that I do well, I hit on at least one key waiver wire acquisition.

I've been playing FF from before the internet where you had to go to bars to make leagues up. Consistent winners in FF are not about being lucky, you're very smart at this and trying to be humble isnt going to work. Injuries affect every team during the year. This one friend is in 22 FF money drafts. He doesnt win every league but is in the money placing in 1/3 his leagues. That's not about luck most of the time, its about being smart.
-
thanks, it's a crapshoot, injuries are probably the biggest determining factor, and not overdrafting.
-
Braxton is now a four year starter and has been graded in the middle. Thayer said he sees improvement every week. I'm not concerned, unless he re-injures.
-
Obviously someone will start. I remember you stated , you want to see it, well now you get to, no more assumptions. Braxton is by NFL standards an average NFL starter, of course we want to see better. Joe Thuney has not played any preseason games, I think next to Braxton will help him play better. Now BJ will be scheming plays that will make Braxton look better. If Caleb gets the ball out in 2.4 seconds it will nullify the pass rush. Everyone wants all pros at every position, roster building is not an easy task.
-
I think we have three backups at LT and no starter. That's not depth, it's an issue.
-
I think what all of this tells us is we have depth finally. Last year was a shit show on the OL especially when we had to go to back ups. JJ is suppose to start, he practiced yesterday. Not sure if he will be 100% but I suspect a 80% is better than 100% of Wright. We also have to remember Jefferson isnt a 100% yet, no Addison. The key will be putting pressure on McCarthy, we get to see what Dennis Allen brings to the table.
-
Well I can have my hopes about Trapilo at LT, but the Bears released their depth chart yesterday, and Trapilo is RT2, with Benedet as LT2. Other noteables: Burden is third string after Moore and Zaccheus on one side, while Duvernay is second string on the Odunze Side, with Walker as third string. So Burden is no better than 5th above only Walker. Roschon Johnson is RB2 with Monangai as HB3 Jarrett and Dexter are the starting DTs, with Jarrett at 3T and Dexter at 1T. Williams and Turner are the second and thrid string DTs, with Billings backing up Dexter at Nose. Johnson is listed as CB1, with Nashon Wright behind him. If JJ doesnt play I guess Wright gets the nod? https://www.chicagobears.com/team/depth-chart

I used to listen to JJ on the score once a week. He is pretty careful about his words, so it could have been him joking. He does like to do that. He did want his money last time feeling like a top CB in the league on a rookie contract. I don't mind seeing the team secure him early as it made sense and they can spread it out over his last year on the rookie deal, so it helped each way. If he can be a top CB and team leader this year, then the Bears can listen if he demands, but they do not have to oblige or can shop him.
-
I hope this is right and it's just a narrative. I read his quote, but I didnt hear his tone of voice or body language, or even the context. So if that's what it was, then great!
