Day 3 prospects
DTs still available that fit the scheme are RayShaun Benny and Demonta Capehart. Also Zane Durant. DE still has Caden Curry, Max LLewellan, and Josh Josephs available.

Pick 89, Zavion Thomas, WR, LSU
He is not DJ Moore as a receiver but he definitely replaces some of what DJ did for us around the LOS, WR screens, jet sweeps, and by lining up as a RB on occasion. He doesn't bring as much power but more explosiveness and agility. He's an upgrade over OZ and his ceiling is likely WR3. If he stays WR4 and proves to be a good returner then I'm ok with this pick.

#129 - Malik Muhammad, CB, Texas
His 40 time is listed as 4.42, so the Bears continue to add speed.
-
Day 3 prospects
Bears traded up for Mohammed. Pick 129 and 144 for pick 124 and 166.
-
#129 - Malik Muhammad, CB, Texas
Also I was happy to see the Bears pick announced by a Spanish fan. Brings the wife closer to being a Bears fan, although I still have work to do on that. . 🇪🇸

Day 3 prospects
They always do that on day three. Day two is usually former players for the teams and day one is just the commissioner with occasional guests.
-
Pick 89, Zavion Thomas, WR, LSU
This is a secret weapon that after the first time the DC ignores him, he will score a TD and from that day on they will have to know where he is. On other teams may not be used much, but BJ will make him a weapon.

Poles Press Conference from last night
Its not what I wanted but being we had limited draft capital. ( no 5th or 6th round picks to trade). Moving up is a lot more costly. They got pieces but no DL. There is always after draft additions.
-
#129 - Malik Muhammad, CB, Texas
There will be no more s%# show in coverage. Pass rush?
-
Day 3 prospects
Im watching the NFL draft on ESPN and all the announcers are an international flavor. Has the whole draft been like that? First day of watching the actual draft.

#129 - Malik Muhammad, CB, Texas
Good pick. Needed competition at outside CB tour pressure on Tyrique. Not a ton of turnovers but competed as well as anyone against Jeremiah Smith.
-
Day 3 prospects
Burgler had him rated 87 and compared him to Greg Newsome. Stated he would end up a starter.
-
Day 3 prospects
I read several profiles on Mhammad and he's not a big TO machine but consistent on coverage. Sounds like a JJ type, obliviously not as good.
-
Day 3 prospects
He tested well at the combine and best 10 yd split. Long arms, great reads, lacks interceptions but can erase his side of the field. Reminds me of Jaylon being a guy that can erase his opponent.
-
Day 3 prospects
I looked at several big boards and Mhammad was higher rated than the next set of DT or Edge. They are sticking to their board.
-
Day 3 prospects
No problem with this pick at all. I’ve been screaming for competition at #2 CB and this guy can do it.
-
Day 3 prospects
Malik Muhammad CB is our guy. We go D, but not the two for one picks (300 pounders linemen)
-
Day 3 prospects
We have one draft class with Poles and BJ, I dont live in the past it sucks to much. They scored on last years draft so I trust them. If you think they are similar to Matt and Phil, I disagree.

Day 3 prospects
Yeah, I just saw that. GB taking Sutton really sucks.
-
Day 3 prospects
Packers take Dennis -Sutton, that rips my heart out. Lions take LB Jimmy Rolder. I think our division rivals are grabbing our targets to keep them off our team.

Poles Press Conference from last night
I read somewhere that our team was fifth in the league in 13-personnel and that our #3 TE last year took 25% of the offensive snaps.
-
Pick 89, Zavion Thomas, WR, LSU
Just read the comparisons of Zavion Thomas to Jamir Gibbs. Thomas did play RB before, so maybe he becomes our Gibbs. Put Thomas in the backfield with 12 or 13 personal and he can take a hand off, run a route and be a nightmare for opponents.

Poles Press Conference from last night
I'm still shocked that we have not invested in the DL. That being said, I'm not complaining either. The draft didn't fall that way and I like the pieces they have acquired. Speed and smarts at safety. Athleticism and smarts at center. Size, athleticism and smarts at TE. Blazing speed and density with a gadget WR-RB-KR-PR. Commenting on the lack of need to a TE is ignorant. We are in 12 & 13 personnel a lot. Big boy is going get snaps. I'm trusting that DA has what he needs and/or there is a plan.

Pick 89, Zavion Thomas, WR, LSU
Read where he doesnt like to block, but BJs no blocked no rock will have to get embedded in his head. I see him being huge on STs for field position. He might give us another Hester-esque return ability. But unlike Hester, he will also be that WR/RB gadget guy that can take the top off.

Pick 89, Zavion Thomas, WR, LSU
I will say that Thomas is more well built than most slot speed guys. Guys like Zachariah Branch, Brendan Thompson, Eric Rivers, and Deion Burks tend to be closer to 5’8” 170, whereas Thomas is a little over 5’10” 190. That might help him hold up better in the NFL and be better equipped for any blocking duties he might have.
