It's definitely time for Monangai to get more touches, and I personally would like to see them bring Brittain Brown up from the practice Squad too - I thought he looked really good in preseason action. There's a lot of buzz around a trade, but I dunno what will happen with that, whether it's really real inside Halas Hall, what theyre thinking. I dont think Swift is very good. I mean hes better than a lot of backs in terms of having a wider skills set, but he doesnt have great vision when he's got the ball, and he doesnt get north/south fast enough to blast through. I saw some stat that we were #1 in the league in yards before the HB is first touched - which says decent things about our line - but we've all also seen the line fail work together to make it happen especially on the left side before Benedet got in there. But Swift has a 3.3 yards per carry, so that somewhat points the finger at him. Also reading that Johnson may tinker with the scheme during the bye, some guess to move to more outside zone blocking scheme and fewer power run schemed plays. All this to say there are a lot of tweaks in terms of players and scheme that could be tried, and using Monanagai more is probably strongly on that menu. And like I said, I'd love to see Brittain Brown get some carries and see how he is in there, and I wouldnt turn my nose up at a guy like Breece Hall from the Jets (assuming his injury this week isnt bad).

I would be shocked if the Bears defense can hold the Commanders under 350 yards of total offense. They gave up over 500 yards last year. The only way they can win, I think, is if they either have another 4 takeaway game, or they hold them to 3 instead of 7 when they get into the redzone—which is what they did last year. The offense has to get back to starting games fast again. Play with a lead. It's time for Caleb Williams to show why he was the #1 pick. It's time to make a statement. I truly hope he's up for the task and we don't have to sit through another blowout with his accuracy continuing to look erratic.

From year to year, the preseason predictions always change. I'm very curious what changes BJ can make in us running the ball and do a better job at stopping the run. I think everyone will be healthy but JJ on defense so that should help. I think Monangai gets more touches.

And now Drake Maye has a career game against the Bills on national tv, because of course he does. Nix has a 4th quarter comeback against the best team in football... This really has been the worst week for the Bears. It's beyond frustrating to see Caleb grow as a quarterback and still make up almost no ground on anybody else in his class. And it's not just that he hasn't made up ground, it's that those other guys are all arguably top 10-12 quarterbacks now with the exception of McCarthy and maybe Penix (for now). It pisses me off. It almost feels like next Monday night is becoming a must win, just to stop the media circus that will certainly ensue if Caleb doesn't play well while his peers have all gotten their statement games out of the way.

It does look like we are gonna be one of those teams that can win or lose any game on our own for the next stretch. We have it in us to win or lose to each of these teams depending entirely on ourselves, and more and more this team is starting to believe.

It is hard to believe Baltimore is 1-4. I believe they were the preseason favorites to win the SB and Lamar the MVP. They were still sitting 4th highest odds before getting destroyed at home by Houston today. Looking at the schedule, the Bears can really shake their odds with a win in Was, then Saints, Ravens, Bengals, and Giants. I expect Lamar back after their bye, so him and Jayden will be the qb tests

The good thing is Daniels didn't look that good vs LAC. The bad news is Croskey-Merritt and the WAS Defense did. I don't know what they did on defense, but they allowed 27, 24, then 34 before shutting the Chargers down with only 10 points. WAS is 3-0 when the hold the opponent to 24 or less, and are 0-2 when they allow 27 or more. CHI is basically the same, they are 2-0 when the opponent scores 24 or less, and 0-2 when they score 27 or more. So there is your script for this game. The team that scores 27 is going to win. I don't like how good WAS is running the ball and how bad CHI is at run defense. The top 3 RBs all average over 5.0 YPC. With McLaurin out the main threat at WR is Deebo.

With all 4 NFC Division leaders at 4-1, the playoff race for the Bears is going to be for one of the 3 WC slots: GB 2-1-1 (Bears have 2 left against them) MIN 3-2 (Bears need to even up the series) SEA 3-2 ----------------------------------------- WAS 3-2 (Bears need to beat them next week) LAR 3-2 DAL 2-2-1 (Bears already beat) ATL 2-2 CHI 2-2 The WAS game is huge because it is a conference game and the Bears are 1-2 in the Conf. A Bears win and they would own H2H tiebreakers with both WAS and DAL, but since DAL tied, they will more than likely not end up with the same record as them. It seems like all 8 of these teams will be "in the hunt" in late December.

Pretty shitty day for the Bears. MIN and WAS both won. Bears can't even win next week and get out of the basement of the NFC. Frustrating.

Week 5 - Nix - 63.7 QBR - 242 yds, 1 TD, 0 INT, 2 sacks, and 22 rushing yds. 264 Total Yards. Win. / Season QBR: 55.0, 1003 yards, 8-4 TD-INT Daniels - XXX QBR - 231 yds, 1 TD, 0 INT, 1 sack, and 39 rushing yds. 270 Total Yards. Win. / Season QBR: XXX, 664 yards, 4-0 TD-INT Maye - XXX QBR - XXX yds. X TD, X INT, X sack, and X rushing yds. XXX Total Yards. XXX. / Season QBR: 63.4, 988 yards, 7-2 TD-INT Penix - BYE Week / Season QBR: 60.5, 918 yards, 3-3 TD-INT Williams - BYE Week / Season QBR: 63.5, 927 yards, 8-2 TD-INT McCarthy - Always hurt / Season QBR: 20.7 (Last in NFL), 301 yards, 2-3 TD-INT By virtue of how opponents did today, Williams is now the highest 2nd Year QB for QBR passing Maye by 0.1. Maye plays BUF tonight, so he can either retake it or drop. Watching the games today, it almost seemed like half the games didn't matter for 3 quarters, then the teams starting playing.

PXH - Stinger - Mongo: GIVE IT A F'N REST!!!
Stinger226 replied to Lucky Luciano's topic in Bearstalk
I attempted to do this once before and couldnt find a block action, but ignore works too. Its done, good luck to the rest of the members, I dont have to deal with toxicity anymore. I never have a problem with dumb or stupid but the day he crossed the line calling me a pedophile, not one word from anyone yet the bickering annoys you. -
Thank you for your response to this serious issue. I, along with the vast majority of users on this forum, applaud you. When logged in to the site, you can view your username and avatar at the top right-hand side of the screen. If you click on it, a list of options is available, including "Ignored Users." Just type the name of the user you would like to ignore. As you begin to type the user's name, a list of usernames will appear, allowing you to select one for easier reference. Ignoring users with whom you cannot get along has been suggested before, and the suggestion, not the offending user, was ignored. (Well, I guess they did choose to ignore the user making the suggestion.)

Done I will do that but I was curious how you would deal with the same situation? I dont think you would just block that person and not have anything to say. -

I totally get it All I did was post a video and asked peoples opinion and you see what developed. Do you just not want me to respond when PHX elevates the conversation? Its hard for me to let someone jump down my throat for their own created assumption. I will not respond to anything he posts but then when I respond to someone else posts he jumps in on those conversations. I have gotten personal but it was only after numerous attempts to calm the situation down. If I attacked you on just having an opinion that might be different from mine, how would you react? Saying I dont like the way you said that? You were using the wrong grammar? A difference of opinion from 2 yrs ago gets brought up to start and argument? Call you stupid , an idiot, a pedophile. Really, how would you deal with that? Thank you for bringing this up, so the board can show their displeasure for such unwanted talk on a fans board. -
this tit-for-tat flame war has BURNED out!! i'm sick of it and i assume others on here are also. it's repetitive/redundant and quite frankly boring as hell. the flames are as creative as copy and paste material from an instruction manual on how to use a sewing machine. watching three grown men go on for months trying to get in the last word on here is plainly enough. nobody gives a shit anymore who is right or wrong. all three of you contribute to this site when you give us Bear's info and are interesting and very informative and nobody wants anybody to leave. but you are wasting our time clicking on threads containing this BS. SOLUTION: i think there is a button or link on here to block/ignore certain posters. give us a freakin break and use it. To Admins: post a button or link in plain site for these guys will you?

This is your thought process, (It's all really stupid. You may hate me, but that doesnt mean Im objectively toxic. It just means you cant stand me. Cool.) I said I dont like you, you mentioned (hate), this is where everything gets elevated , you constantly are putting words in my mouth. I have no problem saying hate it I actually meant that. We agree this is stupid. Lets talk about current events and stop your pulling up conversations from 2 yrs ago, 2 months ago and you wont see conversations get elevated.

Thats true, we dont have enough horses yet for that, especially at DL and HB, which were the same weaknesses most of us saw going into the draft too. But ultimately, I want the other team's best, and to beat em anyway. Soundly and reliably. We got a taste in 1985 of that kind of dominance, and I want it again. I think Ben Johnson might be enough of a maniac to get us there. BJ is absolutely the right kind of coach. Im so glad we got him. I knew Vrabel was a hardass, but I never knew BJ was like this. BJ obviously has the Xs and Os advantage too, but he is a madman about winning, and that's fantastic for our team. I think he out Vrabel's Vrabel honestly, knowing what I know now.

Nah, you were speaking to me in the worst possible ways, and I made you stop, admittedly at great cost to myself too. Call it a nuclear option. Since then there's mutual dislike, but you're not speaking to me like you were before our big blowup. You were saying all kinds of stuff to me because of Fields. It really probably began with Charles Leno, but as we've had one loser after another, and I've called them out, you've been late to agree, and called me all kinds of things. You know this has been two sided. Everyone knows that. Also the fact that you still think he's good because hes starting for the Jets in their quest for the number one pick really is a joke, but you thinking that doesnt make me mad. For a while there I was supposedly a pathological hater who couldnt ever be happy. But then I am so excited about Caleb and Johnson that it morphed into i think Im so smart. Which is weird because i didnt claim to invent the wheel or anything, I just said some players that a lot of people thought were good and bad were good and bad. THe smart really just came into it when after hearing about it from you for months, it turned out I was right. I dont want to prove Im smart. I wanted to prove that you were wrong all those times you gave me crap for what I was saying that turned out to be true. I mean, is someone a genius if they think Banks is a good OT? Or that Kmet might be trade bait? These arent off the wall theories, theyre pretty normal I think. It's all really stupid. You may hate me, but that doesnt mean Im objectively toxic. It just means you cant stand me. Cool.
-
I dont like you but Im not trying to have a war with you. You just started this because I supported Fields WHILE he was our QB? When we left that argument, 2 years ago, you said he was terrible and would never be a legitimate QB in the NFL. Last time I checked he was starting for the Jets. As soon as Justin was traded, i then jumped on Caleb's bandwagon. I saw his potential an am all in on him. You need to learn that everyone that doesnt agree with you is not trying to fight with you,, just have a different opinion. Life is hard, its a lot harder when you act stupid. Now this is a derogator statement and I know you are not stupid but your attitude on this site is clearly stupid. We just have opinions , we're not throwing grenades' at each other.

Um OK. I think you're proving my point but whatever. I dont really want a fight with you Mongo. Im just not going to submit to anyone. If you require that, then you can say or do whatever you need to. Stinger and i actually have a reason to be mad at each other. I dunno what, except for not agreeing that you were behaving yourself when you told me I have to defer to your opinion on OL and calling me a bitch. But honestly, i dont really care. It wasnt that bad. If you want to keep sniping, go ahead, but its kinda dumb.

Your crybaby ass just takes a thing and runs with it. You didn't leave here out of an ounce of respect for anyone but the mirror. Go be a piss ant where they enjoy it. I got you a jersey as a parting gift. BTW - I have no feelings for anything but animals, old people and children. Definitely not myself... 🤡
