    Rumors

You're stating this as fact, instead of opinion. I'm thinking she does...
  3. Does anyone think Luke Newman is the future center? Last year they asked him to take snaps at OC. There has been suggested this is a good draft for centers. Have no idea if that's true or not but I think if they end up with the comp pick that would be a good spot to draft the center. Would be pick 100 and only 2 rated before that in the draft.

    Rumors

I don't disagree but I don't think she has any sources in the bears organization. Poles runs a tight ship but it is possible some agents could leak information. Rapoport seems to have NFL sources so she could get info that way. If anyone had inside sources we would have heard about this center trade before two hours ago. Who we targeted in the draft last year. She was very adamant about us trading up for Jeanty and it didn't happen. I'm not badmouthing her, I love her, my favorite woman reporter but she doesn't have sources in the bears organization.
  6. IMO we are not trading 2 first round picks for anybody. This move shows it would have been 2 1st round picks. Poles won't do that. 50% of our fan base are sad right now. It just wasn't going to happen.
  7. Yesss! Love Crosby. Hate the price...
  8. Phew - quite happy not to have seen the Bears next to that trade.

    Rumors

She is the number one source for Bears news. ESPN 1000 is the Bears official station and she is the official reporter. If anyone is going to get anything leaked to them, it's her. I love her work. She is only second to Stacy Dales...
  10. At what price? I would endorse it at 12 mil per. Not a penny more.
  11. Thank god, 2 firsts was too much even being as late as ours should be. We have a lot of picks to build long term success and eventually we can trade players for more.
  12. Something to also keep in mind. If Linderbaum signs with the Patriots, some tampering rules should be looked at.
  13. I’m very glad Poles held off on that deal.
  14. He’s pretty good in pass protection and not so good in run blocking. Maybe last year he was dinged up a bit but it appears throughout his career that’s been his MO. Dalman was the opposite although he had a higher floor in pass pro than it appears Bradbury has as a run blocker. Bradbury now has two good run blockers next to him to help him out and I expect we’ll be drafting our future Center. I like this move a lot…if we follow it up with drafting a talented future starter.
  15. To the Ravens. For two firsts.
  16. I think we end up with Tyler Decker as our LT, maybe a 2yr deal but with 1yr guaranteed so we can cut him loose in a year if we want to.
  17. The Bears are pretty tight lipped, so you only see guesses or sometimes leaks from agents trying to make sparks. As for the comp picks, I dont think that would be a guess. She had to hear something to put that out there. I havent looked into this report if it was written or on video.
  18. Another thing to consider about Bradbury is he’s already got a hatred built in for GB (having been with Minny for a while) and he’s got a few receptions and RAC yards.
  19. Spot on but they do have Jared Wilson they drafted last year that played guard. He could be the new center. I Iike it because all these bear journalists pushing for lindenbaum got a slap in the face on a Cap cost move that fits in. Great move on Poles part. I'll take 0 sacks and 0 penalties every day of the week. Also has taken every snap the last two years. Very durable.
  20. If he can understand the multiple schemes that Ben likes to use, even better. He has seen the NFC North, hes a vet thst can make the line calls which frees up Caleb from doing so, and doesnt make many mistakes. The Bears plugged a major surprise hole with a player they can play and doesnt hurt other plans on rebuilding the D.
  21. I like this. Bradberry is very athletic, with a very high football IQ. NE moving him tells me they want Linderbaum, who is younger and elite. They definitely have the cap space that we do not. Good move for both teams.
  22. Correct, Johan Jackson didn't look good from his previous year but he turned into a healthy baller. They will not on everything but they are targeting players and we get to see how that turns out. I don't know how good Bradbury is but like PHX said, screw PFF, no sacks no penalties and 20 pressures seems like great numbers to me.
  23. First of all, I only form opinions by what I digest in the football realm. I don't know anything for sure but guess by forming that opinion. Just like everyone else on here. In not going after either Tyler or Connor that suggests they are making cap friendly moves. Could they sign a big dollar guy, of course but I don't think they are. We don't know what they value people on their current roster but we do know until they trade someone or restructure contracts they don't have a lot of money right now. Lots of people have given different numbers on cap space but I think around 32 mil seems the most accurate. We just subjected 5.7 mil off of that amount. We will need operating capital and about a 13 mil rookie pool. I'm not good at math but it doesn't seem we have a lot of money to fill a lot of positions. Those are future costs but it does say to me we aren't making any big money deals.

    Rumors

I have never heard her sight a source so I assume her take are by pundits she trusts. She works for ESPN so I think her information comes from there. Of course she has been right about stuff before but I do remember he stating we wanted Jeanty and were going to trade up for him. Maybe we couldn't get a trade done for that but I only know it didn't happen. The only people that seem to get things right a lot are Schefter and Rapoport . Don't know if I spelled them right. Some pundits predict a 100 different actions and then of course they can say they were right but I like the ones that keep their predictions simple but hit on them. If there are any you know about that are accurate, let me know, I will follow them. I like Cronin and am not trying to bash her but tons of football journalists claim they have inside information and can't remember any saying that accurately.
  25. I actually think the trade for Bradbury tells me they are being mindful what they spent on center - which to me tells me they are potentially looking at making a double digit per year signing somewhere (or acquiring a double digit contract).
  26. I figure they made the move to put Thuney at LT in the NFC Championship game. It tells me they probably don't have a ton of confidence in the in-house solutions (including Braxton). With Decker out there and Trent Williams potentially there - certainly see a scenario where front office and coaching staff said - lets go upgrade the LT position, knowing any of those moves are short-term measures but elevate the room while buying time to evaluate Trapillo in the long run. I also wonder how Benedet would fit at a guard position over time - he looked very athletic and was great in run-blocking.
  27. Very fair - I do think this offensive coaching staff gets a bit of the benefit after last season. Heck - out of the gate people didn't like the Jonah move - but it looked good in hindsight (or at least after the 1st year). Maybe this is a better scheme fit plus helps allow Poles to attack some other fronts.
