  1. Past hour
  2. Picked up Jaylon Jones (former Bear). Didnt he get robbed off the PS last year? Picked up DeMarco Jackson'LB that played for Dennis Allen last year.
  3. Makes you wonder. Maybe he cannot read to operate the computers given to them.
  4. Like you said, you would think he could see Xs and Os on a piece of paper enough to get involved in practices. Has to be mental.
  5. I've pulled info off of X before that turned out to not be true. I usually like to see a post from someone i know before I think its real.
  6. Today
  7. My guess is mental. Dyslexia and/or reading disability wouldn't prevent him from doing. Plus, they are known conditions from elementary school, as you are born with it. Depression, manic depressive and bi polar disorder can develop over time.
  8. Good point. Not specifically, so I guess it could have happened between the draft and camp. I took it to mean that it predated everything. I'll tell you why. My personal GUESS is that it's something mental, he had problems in college understanding the playbook. Some people are guessing he doesnt know how to read. I have no idea if it's THAT, but I wouldnt be surprised if he is dyslexic or something. What we do know is that Frazier participated physically in early camp, but poles says it happened before he got there. So that tells me its not something obviously physical like a broken leg, because then it would have happened after he got here. They also call it personal. Could be a mental illness, a condition or something like that. If it was losing a family member, they wouldnt need to designate him out for the year. It looks to me like some mental issue that hes had before the draft. Mental illness, cant read, dyslexic, something like that. Something that our staff should have uncovered before the draft.
  9. Poles stated that it was before he got here. Did you read that Poles said pre draft?
  10. Even if he participated, Poles himself said it originates from before he was drafted.
  11. From X or Twitter. Searched his name.
  12. He clearly has some type of illness because Poles said he’ll be under the care of team doctors. No clue beyond that.
  13. He can't read? What source did you get that from? Here's a picture of him from rookie camp.
  14. I do not know how true this is, but he is sitting out so he can learn to read. He was more than likely ashamed. I can see it. He missed games/time before due to academics.
  15. Definitely Irving for the value of it...
  16. He participated at rookie camp, so that shifts the timeline a bit...
  17. I believe this draft pick wasnt well vented and was a Al Harris recommended draft pick. It has nothing to do with Poles feelings. It comes down to he has made bad decisions and some good ones. To ignore the good ones doesnt give you a proper evaluation. When you put it on a scale, rate it however you like, that doesnt mean everyone has to agree with you. I am not alone in my C grade for our GM. You act like I want the team to be terrible, that's not even rational thinking. Cut or trade players , for me, I look at the roster as a whole and it looks pretty good to me. I have no idea how old you are but I've been living a Bears fan since the mid 1960s and it has not been good. That doesnt mean I should not have the hope BJ and the team as a group will not be good. \ The most important draft picks are the first round. Colston Loveland-Caleb Williams-Rome Odunze-Darnell Wright. So far these seem to all be good picks. 2nd round Luther Burden-Ozzy Trapilo-Shemar Turner-Gervin Dexter-Tyrique Stevenson-Brisker and Gordon. The jury is still out on some of these picks but the arrow is pointed up.
  18. whatever it was it happened before we drafted him, but we didnt know about it. Its not like we knew and said "hes a 5th rounder so who cares?" It could have been our first rounder just as easily. Somehow, there was something major that we didnt uncover. That's not a good look for a multi billion dollar business with all the tools they have at their disposal. Ben Johnson is showing us that accountability is the key to building a culture - its the only way you know whats broken and the only way to fix it. We dont have to worry about Poles' feelings. We can praise him for some moves and criticize him for others. We dont need to rationalize his failures, in fact thats the opposite of accountability. We should notice the good stuff and notice the bad stuff, and be willing to move on from the bad stuff. I remember we were discussing that we should keep Tevin Jenkins just a few months ago. Now, aren't you glad we didn't? Isn't it better for the Bears to move on from players who arent studs, and replace them with studs or people who are still developing who might become studs? I want the team to be great, I am willing to trade or cut anyone if it helps us get better.
  19. Zak Frazier was a 5th round pick so if he never plays a game, those picks miss all the time. I am curious on what's going on in a personal nature? It cant be something criminal or the local pundits would have picked up on that already. I would think if a mom or dad died they probably would explain that. What else could it be? Does he have cancer? Was it a mental disorder?
  20. I understand the criticism that Poles gets , the third round seems like a black hole as far as the draft but will give him credit for finding later round picks and UDFAs. Poles is not alone on misses if you look at other teams cuts. Some first round, second round also were cut. Cole Strange-Keyon Greene-Isaiah Foskey. Bad drafting is one the worst mistakes a football team can have but I remember a Bear pundit say it takes 3 yrs to judge a draft. Quick judgements sometimes looks different 3 yrs later. Rosters are developed by draft picks, FAs, UDFAs and trades. Say would you want about Poles but I think we have a strong roster in his 4th as GM. Poles will not be remember for his 3rd round misses but drafting Caleb Williams and hiring BJ as the coach. He also fixed a bad Cap situation when he got here.
  21. No, but I would jump on that in a heartbeat. In a keeper league Im in, we have one keeper and lose the round they were drafted in. My question: I have Bowers in the 7th or Bucky Irving in the 16th, who would you keep? Obviously Bowers is a lot better player but I can still get a good player at 7 where 16th round never gets a high end player.
  22. no kidding, and then he gives PRAISE to his staff for finally figuring out what was wrong?
  23. I'm sure it's just a coincidence that the Bears keep missing on these background evaluations. I'd be willing to give him some slack if we didn't already have to go through the Nate Davis/Chase Claypool drama. What a joke.
  24. So here's the depth chart as it currently stands. We'll see who the MLB actually is in a couple weeks, and some of you guys might wanna suggest corrections. One thing that's really amazing is that green players are guys we got this year. We did a lot.
  25. Ugh, Ryan Pace's smartest guy in the room takes a shot in the dark again and looks like a miss. Tyler Baron DE Miami was there A pair of Ohio St CBs taken right after. 5th round- RBs Ollie Gordon and Devin Neal taken at the top of the round along with 3 more CBs. Penn St Safety Jaylen Reed.... This guy will be 30 by the time he plays. Lets hope he is worth it.
  26. That's weird. I got one of those that had Travis Homer making the 53. On another note, this Poles comment on Zah Frazier came up on my feed...
