  1. Past hour

  2. Two glaring things that stood out to me from this game: -Ben Johnson is really bad against NFC North defensive coordinators -The Bears receivers might suck 3rd time in a row Brian Flores thoroughly outcoached Ben Johnson. They blitzed over 70% of the game and our receivers still couldn't get open. They had zero answers for anything. The OL got pushed around all game again, too. Really discouraging sign for Mr. offensive genius who wants to break scoring records. Maybe just focus on looking better against quality coaches instead of bum slaying? If Caleb Williams ends up on IR, the season's over anyways. How quickly things can change. Back to being miserable...
  3. I heard that Caleb was seen after the game walking around the locker room with no noticeable limp. Still need confirmation on that but I'm hopeful this isn't a badly torn hamstring.
  4. Roush is not a very good blocker on special teams. He's cost us two blocked kicks. Last week he gave up the inside rusher, this week he gave up the outside which is normal but he's got to at least put a hand on him and slow him down a half step.
  5. Thankful it wasnt his achilles because that would be the season for him. Depending on the grade it could 2-4 weeks or 8 weeks plus if torn. Losing your franchise QB is crushing and will be a tougher road to find success with Bagent, but Ben Johnson can design an offense for him with dink and dunk plays to use his quick processing
  6. Meh. You still have Keenum as an option too. Regardless, the play calling should have leaned into the run game ALOT more than it did. A week after both RBs got over 100 each and an inclement game to boot. Play calling was indeed suspect.
  7. Any one else feel that the Bears should have took the FG on 4th and 1, when on the 8 yd line, that they converted but later had FG blocked? Take the 3, game is tied, and we Caleb escapes injury with plenty of time left.
  8. Today

  9. Hopefully this is an early season wake up call. Defense can still improve but looked better. I have no idea what happened to the offense, and I don't understand where all the easy quick passes were to beat the blitz. Those are typically to the TEs. Very frustrating so far, especially considering how good they looked against CAR. CAR held ATL to 3 pts this week. CLE beat TB and NO beat BAL, so anything can happen in the first month of the season.
  10. That's a relief, I feared it was the achilles. As for Ben Johnson, he can be good or bad and today was bad. They were not ready for what Flores had.
  11. Hamstring injury for Williams, thank god.
  12. Loveland has 1 reception for 3 yards on the season. He had more targets and receptions last year as a rookie coming off injury and not knowing the offense. He was supposed to be the next Bowers/McBride. His lack of involvement in the passing game has been a disappointment. A week after Swift has an amazing game he fumbles on the 1-yard line. That was the difference in the game. The Bears win 10-9 with that TD. Such a terrible loss in so many ways, Williams hurt, Swift fumble, Santos blocked FG, ass play calling. At least the defense stepped up, but how can the Bears never play a complete game?
  13. Bagent is a solid backup but with limited arm strength. Teams will stack the box and do exactly what Flores did today. Without Williams they will be lucky to win 5 games.
  14. BJ was ass today. Time for an ego check. Leaving Loveland in to block, on the last play, was stupid.
  15. Agree on the potential injury. Big time disagree on the lost season. BJ is supposed to be the next best thing and I suspect he’ll adapt his offense accordingly. Shoulda been ALOT more running in this game. Last year after an 0-2 start, Johnson adapted to a lot more zone rushing to pull more outta Swift and Monangai. Then about 4-5 weeks into the season remembered they drafted Loveland in the first round and started using him. WAY too early to call it a lost season.
  16. I'll wait until I hear it for certain, but if I had to bet, I'd bet it's his Achilles. freak.
  17. The season may have just crashed. I hope it is minor but by the reaction, id say not
  18. Season over, fu%k. Non-contact injury, probably an Achilles, can we not have nice things?
  19. Terrible playing calling, no one making plays. Swift fumbles at goalline, refs only calling penalties on the Bears. Wild how much they have to overcome and they are only down by 3.
  20. As much as I am not happy about the defense we have, they have played decent so far.
  21. Ben Johnson is calling his worst game as a Bear.
  22. Ugh, fumble at the goal line. Vikings came in a little hungrier. Bears better start going with the division on the line.
  23. I suspected today’s game would be similar to how things went for GB last week against Minny. However I didn’t think the Bears would already have 53 yards in penalties (30 by Bradbury alone?) and -1 on the TO ratio. Thankfully the Bears have been a second half team even after last week against Carolina. Still, probably not going to see more than 30 pts from them…
  24. Ball wasn't slick on Bush. It hit his shoulder pad before his hands.
  25. With a high snap on Wentz and through his hands as evidence. 😊👍
