  1. Today
  2. I just thinks its a rookie changing his habits in real time. He needed the lesson to focus on football more.
  3. If the way the games are laid out and we go 7-1 or 8-2 in the easy part of the schedule, you know we will get some flexed games. Personally I like having Sunday afternoon games, Im a creature of habit.
  4. yes, if we are playing well, i do expect flex games later in the season for sure. I think Williams is going to be a media star in the league. Maybe not right away, but once he starts winning.
  5. Yeah, I definitely see turkey day as a prime-time game. There also may be some flex-in games later in the season with if division is tight.
  6. We don't know the extent of the relationship between the three QBs. I've never heard a bad thing about Dalton or Foles. IMO, two seasoned veterans vs a rookie QB, tells me that the old fellas wanted their respect and adoration and didn't feel they were getting it. On Justin's end, he's probably thinking his game is way different than the other two, so why delve into things that didn't match his game.
  7. I read more that clarified, the Giants are the offseason version of Hard Knocks, the preseason version is yet to be decided. I would imagine the Bears would make a very attractive candidate, but we would like to avoid it if possible.
  8. Besides the 3 primetime games, they are on Thanksgiving and the London, both games that seem primetime to me.
  9. Yesterday
  10. Genuinely shocked they only gave them 3 primetime games. I hate how the only home night game they give the Bears is always the crappy Thursday games. I honestly can't recall the last home SNF or MNF game they've had in years. At first glance, my initial thoughts are that the team better get off to a hot start before that week 11 game against the Packers or it could be tough sledding to finish the season. The backloaded divisional games with SF thrown in there, as well as a 3 games in 10 days stretch, make it absolutely imperative to win early. I've got them at 10-7. I think the division will be super competitive, but the Vikings will be playing for draft position by the end of the year while the Bears, Lions, and Packers battle for the playoffs.
  11. We've heard rumblings about this kind of stuff ever since Dan Orlovsky criticized his work ethic during the pre-draft process based off the information people were giving him at the time. The most credible report came directly from Josh Lucas, former player personal director under Ryan Pace, who flat out said the relationship between Fields and the other quarterbacks did not work at all. Who knows how true any of it really is. I tend to believe there's at least a kernel of truth there. Fields has never been a talkative guy. His podium pressers left much to be desired from a charisma and personality standpoint. Sometimes he looked disinterested and agitated even in situations that were supposed to be light-hearted. I always got a weird vibe with him. If any of that carried over into the locker room, it wouldn't surprise me if he came off poorly to certain people.
  12. What I find hard to understand is that they'd confess to this! Let's look at it this way. A GM brings in a veteran QB to mentor his new Rookie QB. A very important position. The Rookie QB screws up by allowing himself to be distracted by his phone while the veteran QB is providing instruction. (We don't know what the issue was. Playing a game? Received a text message from a hot babe, his wife, or both, LOL. Or maybe a family emergency? Doesn't matter.) Instead of explaining the importance of paying attention, the veteran scolds him, saying he is now on his own and abandons the rookie. If I were the GM, I would cut the Veteran and bring in another mentor for my rookie QB. Yes, I'd be disappointed the rookie was distracted (we still do not know for sure why), but the Veteran failed the rookie and the team. If this 'rumor' is true, we failed Fields in more ways than play calling, OL, and depth at skill positions. We gave him an asshole for a mentor.
  13. When it comes to Andy Dalton and Nick Foles in both of their previous stops before coming to the Bears it was determined that both wouldn't do well with young QBs. The Bengals got rid of Dalton before they drafted Joe Burrow and the Eagles felt compelled to release their Super Bowl MVP because there was reports of a divide in the locker room about their first round QB Carson Wentz.
  14. I dont know how much this goes on at the league headquarters, but all these things will make the Bears more likely to win the division. Not saying they will, just more likely. I also see where the Giants are this years Hard Knocks team, so theres that piece of good news too.
  15. How many "lucky" coincidences can there be before you question lol. I mean look, they even drew Jacksonville for their 1st of back to back travel games. If it was Jax 2nd game, they would have the advantage of being acclimated to the travel time adjustment.
  16. A lot of people are complaining but, like you, most winnable games are early giving us time to grow and get our act together . I dont like 4 of 6 games on the road at the end of the season but that is out of our control.
  17. Well the Bears' schedule has been released, and we don't play ANY divisional games until the last 9 weeks of the season. That's kind of amazing, because it gives Williams time to grow before he fights for a playoff berth. I haven't looked at any other teams yet, but maybe the NFL is pushing divisional games later int he year on purpose so playoff hopes stay alive as long as possible for each team, or maybe the Bears just got lucky, or are being helped by the league (less likely!) Whatever it is, it's good news for us this year.
  18. We lose to Texans,Rams,SF and go 3-3 in the division. 11-6. Now if CW has a Stroud type year, then we beat the Rams and go 4-2 in the division, 13-4. I'm an optimist, now is the best time to react crazy.
  19. For someone that made 10 mil while in college, if he has a great start, I can see him in his third season wanting the money . So much for a 5 year rookie contract.
  20. Last week
  21. Ozzy, the guy dropping the rumors dropped the GB games and has us playing GB the last game in GB.
  22. Titans would be fine but prefer on the road because lots of Bears fans are crazy. I had season tickets for 2 yrs and if thinks look bad starting out, hell will erupt at the stadium.
  23. Last time we were there, it was against the chargers. Mitch was QB and drove us to a last second game winning field goal attempt. The guys behind were all negative, saying Parkey was going to blow the 40 yarder. It pissed me off because we spent a lot of money to be on the fifth row and we didn't wanna hear that crap. Parkey doinked it off the upright and I wanted to kill those people. They weren't the only ones. If you go to GB or Indy, the fans are never like that.
  24. Titans it is. Week 1: vs Titans Week 4: vs Rams Week 5: vs Panthers Week 6: vs Jaguars (London) Week 10: vs Patriots Week 11: vs Packers Week 12: vs Vikings Week 16: vs Lions Week 17: vs Seahawks
  25. I think when the boo birds come out, it is more on the play selections lately. I can't think of a player they would have booed. I remember Urlacher being upset when fans booed, which was probably poor oline and play calls.
