  2. Read where top 10 highest paid WRs, only one was a first round pick and that was at pick 23. Tone of examples of lower round WRs becoming studs. Last year Puka and Dell were good examples.
  3. If we trade back and get a second, probably Frazier is the only one that will be available. I remember Van Pran getting a lot of love last year but now he is listed 80-100 draft value. I wonder why he slipped? Also Linmer from Arkansas was brought in and is a high RAS score guy you could get 3rd and 4th area. Sit behind Bates for a year and be ready in 2025? His draft bio seems to be close to other top prospects.
  4. Today
  5. I think it's hard to say that a lower picked WR has a better chance of going to a superbowl based on talent, i think it's more likely that the top picking teams just dont have the roster to go to the superbowl?
  6. Barton also has a high iq for understanding and making line calls. I mentioned him months ago for C when he was listed mainly as OT. Been seeing some drafts with GB taking him rd1 because he has versatility to play anywhere. I wouldn't complain if Poles drafted him and if he is climbing, then maybe Frazier slides.
  7. Yesterday
  8. I've seen him listed in the top 32 by several scouts but is getting more cudos as a center. I'll let Poles figure out who he likes more if we get the chance to draft one. I like Zach Frazier a lot. Former wrestlers make good lineman in the NFL.
  9. It seems pretty clear that after 2 drafts, no one knows what Poles thinks . It's always speculation. Bowers is a top 10 talent, so BPA would apply to him. Seen a video with Rick Speilman, former GM and his top 5 was 3 QBs and 2 WRs . He thinks Williams is generational and also that Drake Maye and Daniels are going to be good QBs so because of importance of position listed them top 5. listening to him, he's a very smart guy. He has us take Dallas Turner but said we are trying to trade back. One scenario was with 14- NO for got pick 14-40-155 for 9. He has us take Brandon Dorlus/ DE at 75.
  10. He's shooting up because he initially was slated as an OT, then OG, now center. He can literally pay any position on the OL. His arms are slightly short for an LT, but was all ACC at it.(Longer than JPJ though) He'll make a great center prospect, as will JPJ. They are running 1 and 2 depending on who you look at.

    Draft ALL OFFENSE

Barton is shooting up boards for some reason. The team might not have used a top-30 visit on some guys, but could've visited them during their Pro-Day, at one of the All-Star games, or at the combine. Also, any player within the Chicago-metro area does not need to count against the top-30 visits and they don't have to announce those.
  12. I am sure this is the same for other positions, but the top drafted guys rarely win or make it to the SB (for elite WRs). Hopefully DJ Moore can beat that trend. Aiyuk was a 1st rounder and last one to make a SB, but for some reason he disappears in the post season. In 9 career post season games his most receptions are 5, most yards 73, and he only has 1 TD in those 9 games.
  13. The Bears did meet with Barton, Guyton, Latham, Powers-Johnson and Zack Frazier. They did not meet with Fashanu. Very Interesting.
  14. I excepted Bowers in the text above saying that because of Kmet's contract we probably wouldnt take him. He is definitely a blue chip player. I also left Turner out because he might not be a scheme fit. I could be wrong on both accounts, but neither one of them was left off for ability, just because I dont see us taking them.
  15. Thomas will need to learn more routes. If you want a deep threat going straight down the field he is definitely it though.
  16. No Bowers? I think he belongs in your top non qb tier but that's just me.
  17. Any word if we have visited Barton?
  18. yeah, and it doesnt make it any more (or less!) true. I'm trying to figure out if Fashanu or Thomas are true top 10 type values. I think they might be. I'm less sure of the DEs. Does anyone know what the DE depth looks like for the 2025 draft? edit - looks to be a DE and WR heavy class. Hmmmm.

    Draft ALL OFFENSE

If the Bears have Barton rated that highly I wouldn’t argue the pick over JPJ.
  20. The more I look, the more I think Fashanu is a solid option at 9 along with WR Thomas. I'm really the foggiest on the talent level of Verse, and the injuries of Latu. If I could bank on them a little more and one more OT, I'd feel more comfortable trading down a little. Im (maybe foolishly) leaving Turner off my list for scheme fit, just as I'm leaving Bowers off my list because of Kmet's contract. As it stands, I think the blue chippers are MHJr Nabers Odunze Alt and the very next tier (are any real pro bowlers?) Fashanu Verse? Thomas? And then it drops off to the 1b tier.
  21. True. They do say if we go pass catcher at 9. also true the only value at 9 would be Odunze or Bowers. really easy for a writer to throw that out there.
  22. I would on the condition that we could parlay picks to somehow get back in the top twenty and get another second rounder. It would be tough sledding though, Poles would have to have a trade partner in advance. Odds are a strong no.
  23. I think this is just writers speculating because the Bears brought him in for a 30 visit. Maybe they really are interested, I dont know, but i dont think these articles have any inside info, just connecting dots we already knew. If the Bears have too much money invested in Kmet right now to take on another TE1, they might well be meeting him because he would be an excellent trade or free agency target in the future, so good to make connections and start the book on him now? No matter what, Odunze and Bowers are both big time talents, and someone will take them each early. And each of them would look great in a Bears uniform.
  24. I drafted the best center prospect with my trade. Barton will probably go before JPJ. (JPJ has a concussion history) He started out as a center and ended up at left tackle because he was so athletic. The boards are changing that way. If be happy with either.
  25. Additionally, in this draft, which by all accounts is very deep in the first hundred players. I want to select this year not next. Lastly, a team Im beating on to be shit and pull a Carolina is not the defending champs.
  26. I would not no. if I am trading so far down I would target one of the teams that have multiple picks in the 30s. Rather have one top 15 selection as it stands thou with a slight trade down.
  27. Claims were interested in BB or Rome at 9 and BB won't fall past ten.
