I didn't know where to put this so I put it here. The bears met with Jamal Williams that played for Johnson when Swift was there. I haven't seen if they signed him, I've been traveling the last few days.

The Chicago Bears website has a video series called "Inside Rookie Minicamp" and today they released the 3rd episode. http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/vid...camp_Episode_3/ The reason for this post is that I saw two things I'd been curious about, back to back. For one I was hoping that the staff would continue Lovie's tradition of considering incomplete passes to be live balls. If you look at the video at 4:15 you can see that they are clearly doing that. I think it goes a long way toward making turnovers a cultural priority, and also practicing the mechanics of scooping up fumbles and coordinating blocking etc for runbacks. Fantastic. Then, as a…

This short video gives a good glimpse into how Kromer coaches the oline. I have no clue about how past Oline coaches and OCs have done things but I do like Kromer's level of detail and decisiveness in how they have to do things, especially the combination blocks, my term for delayed blitzes and stunts, which I think we've really struggled with the last few years. http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/vid...dd-4621beb1c3ba

I was reading Brad Briggs and he talked to an insider type and that person thought that is the order there draft will fall. Now of course that depends on who is there, but sounds like what they would think as an importance order. If that is the case, name your three picks. Britton/OT Byrd/FS Barden/WR/ Cal Poly

If the reports are true Jeffery and Glennon will both get 14 mil a year. Jeffery is worth it but think we may not get that deal done Glennon is not significantly better than Hoyer which is less than half the cost. So you sign Hoyer to 15 mil, 3 year contract, he has no problem being a bridge player and is statistically in the same tier as Glennon. So with the extra money we sign Jack Doyle to a three year contract 16 mil. ( he is a good blocker and can catch the ball) allow us to play 2 TE sets that enhance the running game. We sign Kyle /FB he is an excellent blocker and can catch the ball and run. He would be great support for the running game an…

Cutler is currently 19th with a 2.30% with 4 INTs out of 174 pass attempts. That equates to 1 INT every 43.5 attempts or 1 INT for every 26.5 completions. Winston 4.61% Manning 4.22% Luck 4.22% Fitzpatrick 4.09% Stafford 3.80% (should have one more) Foles 3.55% Cousins 3.51% Tannehill 3.50% Bradford 3.33% Mariota 3.11% Taylor 2.92% Bortles 2.89% Flacco 2.83% Kaepernick 2.81% Bridgewater 2.74% Mallett 2.72% Palmer 2.59% Newton 2.55% Cutler 2.30% Rivers 1.98%

There could be a bidding war going on between Texans and Colts. For 2 to 1, the Bears should get the Texans 2nd (#32) and mid-round pick in 2023 or 2024. (1 <>2+32+4th or 5th round pick) For 4 to 1, the Bears should get the Colts 2nd (#34), and potentially a 2024 1st (1 <>4+34+2024 1st) If not a 2024 1st, then it would have to be at least a 2024 2nd and a 2024 3rd (1 <>4+34+2024 2nd+2024 3rd) *Note - Indy does not have a 2023 3rd rounder

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/...rget-for-bears/ Cullen Jenkins looks like a target for Bears Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on April 6, 2011, 11:18 AM EDT Getty ImagesThe Bears don’t have a lot of key free agents to re-sign when free agency hits. Defensive tackle Anthony Adams looks like a priority according to John Mullin of CSNChicago.com, but that’s practically it. While we don’t expect another Julius Peppers-type splash in free agency, the Bears have more work to do on the defensive line. Mullin believes the team will target Packers versatile defensive lineman Cullen Jenkins. “The Bears have their targets identified for whenever free ag…

You would think with the Bears done interviewing 4 candidates, that some of the candidates would at least start getting informed that the Bears are going to head in a different direction (and at least than, those groups would start leaking info). I guess the question is, do the Bears think they need 2nd round interviews with certain candidates or did they get to spend enough time with them in 1 interview. How come the Chicago media can't figure out when Bowles is interviewing? I figure something gets leaked prior to his interview.

This an interesting take on who the Bears draft. It basically states expect the unexpected and that is what is going to happen. A surprise in store for us in the first round. http://www.chatsports.com/chicago-bears/a/...hange-2-9593154

There was an article on CSNChicago.com about the Bears that I found interesting. It gave team stats in some offensive and defensive areas for the Bears compared to teams which made the playoffs this year. I was actually surprised by the info provided and encouraged in that if we could rank that favorably with the 2016 playoff teams with 19 players on IR, what could we accomplish in 2017 with a healthy roster and key additions made this opffseason in FA and the draft? It is a long offseason.

https://www.inquirer.com/eagles/nfl-draft-matt-hennessy-temple-eagles-coronavirus-scouting-preparation-20200328.html I has been wondering if teams were still trying to do top 30 “visits” and workouts by video and thus article gives some details on how that’s going. I assume we won’t get as much notice of those as we have in the past, since in the past reporters could just camp out at the facility and see who goes in and out. Sounds like the biggest part of the process that will be affected is medical checks. I had kind of bookmarked some prospects I could see Pace looking at as bargain players with part medical red flags a la Eddie Jackson, like Trey Adams and Bryce …

There is an interesting article on NFL.com about Free Agency in an uncapped year and how it is not going to be lucrative for players and the new rules for FA that are involved. It seems to me it might make it even more difficult to obtain key FAs to rebuild an OL which is what we so desperately need. NFL.com Article on 2010 Free Agency with Uncapped Year
