Heres what im thinkin.... 1st a - Darrius Heyward-Bey (WR) Absolute beast of a wide reciever. Extremely fast with great size b - Jeremy Maclin (WR) More of a reciever than Bey and can be used all over the field c - Taylor Mays (S) My personal choice, this dude is a monster at safety. Size and speed our secondary lacks. If we keep Mike Brown, he could teach this kid to be a superstar. 2nd a - Phil Loadhalt (OT) Perfect run blocking monster. 6'8 330. Wed be set at both sides of the line. b - Torrance Taylor (DT) Not happy with anyone but Harris as of late. 3rd a - Brannan Sutherland (FB) Jason McKie, nothing more to say b - Marcus …

BUCS LOSING MONTE? Posted by Mike Florio on November 28, 2008, 11:10 p.m. Although it now appears that Buccanners head coach Jon Gruden won’t be heading to Knoxville, Tennessee, one of Gruden’s top assistants could be. In conjunction with reports that former Raiders coach Lane Kiffin will be the next coach of the Vols, rumors are intensifying that he’ll hire his father, Monte, to run the defense. There were rumors a year ago that Lane Kiffin wanted to bring his dad to Oakland. Though the rumors were denied at the time, Raiders owner Al Davis gave credence to talk of a possible Kiffin kin arrangement during his epic September press conference announcing the…

BEARS PLACE VASHER ON IR Posted by Mike Florio on November 29, 2008, 1:19 p.m. If the Chicago Bears are going to return to the postseason in 2008, they’ll have to make it happen without starting cornerback Nathan Vasher. On Saturday, the Bears placed Vasher on injured reserve. The team announced the move via e-mail several minutes ago. Vasher has a broken hand. Recently, coach Lovie Smith wouldn’t comment on whether the injury would end Vasher’s season. To fill the spot created by the move, the Bears promoted fullback Jason Davis from the practice squad to the active roster.

But, let's take a look at how Sunday night's game will affect the NFC North standings. Now, if Chicago wins, the Vikings are in BIG trouble, as not only would Chicago have a one-game lead over the Purple, but they also will have swept the season series from the Vikings as well, meaning any tie between the two teams would go to Chicago. That would be a huge advantage for Da Bears, and would put a significant dent into any hopes that the Vikings would have of winning the NFC North. And, since this division sure as heck isn't getting any wild card teams, that would mean the Vikings would be sitting at home this January. However, assuming a Green Bay loss to Carolina.…

Brad Briggs at the SunTimes reports that Jason McKie left practice yesterday with and injured quad. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...-bsep29.article That causes problems since he was our only FB on the 53 man squad. Jason Davis may be promoted from the PS, but that means that someone else will be cut or Vasher will be placed on the IR. Hope Davis can block the hell out of the Williams' boys!

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...,3668024.column Many teams hunting for prized receivers, though list is short on talent Bears are among many teams with a pressing need Dan Pompei | On the NFL 9:10 PM CST, November 27, 2008 If there were a wide-receiver store, NFL teams would line up around the block waiting to get in like shoppers at dawn on Black Friday. And no one would be offering discounts, coupons or all-day savings passes. It will be a seller's market for wide receivers this off-season. Joining the Bears going shopping could be the Eagles, Jaguars, Raiders, Titans, Redskins, Bucs, 49ers, Lions and others. They will find a g…

INJURY REPORT AND IMPLICATIONS Chicago Bears (6-5) at Minnesota Vikings (6-5) By Michael Nudo Napoleon Harris has taken over for E.J. Henderson at middle linebacker (AP Photo/Phil Coale). BEARS OFFENSEcolor> vs. VIKINGS DEFENSEcolor> Quarterback Kyle Orton (ankle) is gradually getting back to full health. He had a decent game last week and should be peaking again in time for this matchup in the Metrodome. Tight end Desmond Clark left last week’s game against the Rams with a knee injury. If he misses time, Greg Olsen will get all the reps with some time added for rookie Kellen Davis in double tight end situations. Marty Booker has been trying to rec…

At 6-3 202lbs and running a 4.4-4.5 we need him I think What do you think Three-year starter who established himself as one of the finest receivers in UNM and Mountain West Conference history...earned first team all-MWC honors as a junior and senior to become one of just three Lobo WRs to earn first team all-conference honors twice in a career, joining Terance Mathis (1986-87, `89 WAC) and Preston Dennard (1974, `76 WAC)...a complete wide receiver who was smart, polished, ran great routes and became a very sure-handed pass catcher...excellent "football" speed, running as well in pads as he did without...a tough, aggressive player who was not afraid to go across the …

It seems the Williams brothers will be playing against us and I think our best way to defeat them is to wear them down by using the no-huddle offense quite a bit during the game.

This little tidbit from Peter Kings MMQB... "Peterson, and the rest of the league, should know this about his running style: Gap control is far and away the most important single factor in stopping him from running wild. That's not a cliché. It's a fact with him." I hope the Bears front can stay in their gaps...and our DB's can do their job this week!! VERY IMPORTANT GAME!!!!
