i have seen some really bad games over the years but i think this game ranks up there as maybe the worst performance ever. when there is absolutely no redemption in any aspect of the game it's truly mindboggling!! this is not disapointing it's tragic that any coaching staff could general a game like we witnessed. some ramblings: 1. defensive line... i don't ever in my lifetime remember a whole defensive line being pushed back 4 yds into the endzone in a slant block like i saw yesterday. it was like at practice shoving the sleds. every D lineman in the nfl should see this as a training film on what not to do if you expect a career in the nfl. if anyone wants…

Just rattling this off. Robinson is likely too expensive. Wims and Miller are idiots. Mooney is typecast as a #2 but is a prototypical slot. Ridley somehow has not developed. So, in theory, we need to come up with a 1 and 2 WR. How does this get accomplished?

Anyone else think, despite the admitted need to focus on defense in the draft, we should nab a WR in the middle rounds? With the possibility that the Bears are not matching the offer to Meredith, I was looking at who is currently on the roster. It's pretty scary. We have a bunch of question marks and not much depth. Our #1 is coming back from an injury. Oh, so is our #2, whether it's White (zero confidence in him) or Meredith, who may not even be with the team. So our top 2-3 receivers are coming off injury. Both Godwin and Gallup tore their ACLs in the last few weeks. The WR FA market is going to be crazy thin and overpriced. The Bears are going to need to go mid-tier so they don't break the bank on a mediocre player. Mike Williams is now the healthiest and will probably get the biggest contract.

In talking w/ a friend, more and more, I am beginning to think our 2nd round pick will be all about WR, and rounds 3 through 6 will pretty much go defense. Others might argue our need for a FS is just as great. Some argue DL is a favorite position for Angelo, and he may want to offer Marinelli (and Lovie) some more talent.
