While wins and loses in pre season are very overrated, they do play hard, easing up is actually an easier way to get injured. At least that is what players have said through the years. If your half assing it and the next guy is balls out trying to earn a roster spot, you stand a chance to get injured. So you play em hard.

Hire people with bad character and you have to live with the consequences. I could understand the judge's decision if he decided to not allow the out of state travel. Having said that, almost any other defendant would be allowed to leave the state for his job. After all one of the goals of our criminal justice system is to rehabilitate the criminal. Also, factoring into the decision is politics and if he wants to be reelected, he'd better allow the travel. Sad, when politics factors into a judge's decision.
