Orton could barely throw off of his right foot. He was picking it up and kicking it out a lot on his throws. Hopefully its a little less sore this week and he can get a little more on his passes.
Stand-out back from Illinois, drafted this year. He's pretty much the reason they were in the Rose Bowl last year. He hasn't done too much in the NFL. He's on Pittsburg, and he's behind Willie Parker and Mewelde Moore on their depth chart.
That's all fine and good, but Rex was still missing ridiculously wide open receivers all game. They weren't even close.
Rex's strength is the PA deep ball, so when they tried that and Hester had a step or two, Rex overthrew him by a lot. Rex just doesn't seem to have many strengths any more.
The defense couldn't get the vaunted Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons off the field to give the offense a shot. That was with repeated 3rd & longs.
It wasn't a great offensive performance, but this one lies on the defense IMO.
Forte has looked good, but its been 3 games.
Hester was drafted as a CB. I hope you remember how bad he was the handful of times they had him play corner. He hasn't had much of an impact on offense yet.
What good picks, aside from Forte *possibly*, has Angelo had on offense?
....and Rex's usual 3 TO games won't cut it in the NFL, either.
They both suck about equally. You need to wake up and realize that Rex will never be anything special in the NFL.
