Currie's Job in Doubt
Especially if the Bears can get ahold of Lelie or another legit proven WR before the season starts, there is going to be a real numbers crunch at WR. Rashied Davis's preformance really puts the pressure on guys like Currie who are fighting for the last roster spot.

Jones to the Jets???
With Benson seemingly shrouded in mystery, I would feel uncomfortable trading away Jones right now.

Who do you want to win the 2ND WR position?
I don't care who it is, as long as they play like a #2 receiver.

Bears Defense intentionally hurt Benson?
So a team would intentionally weaken itself, just because they want to see another guy starting? BS.

Lelie for Haynes and a 4th???
I'd love to see either deal happen, whether it includes or does not include Haynes. The Bears with one more legit WR could be dangerous, and it gives the kids a little less pressure to develop quickly out there.

Q Mitchell
It wasn't a bad thing to have the guy as extra depth, but I imagine the cap room was more valuable in the long run.

Ced Benson
Thomas Jones is an idiot if he isn't on time to training camp this year. He has Benson breathing down his neck anyways, and his value goes into the toilet if he is splitting time, or even benched because of Ced.

NFL Betting Power Rankings
I don't think the Bears will win it all, but if I was in Vegas, I would totally drop $20 on them at 25-1. That is a pretty good set of odds vs expecations.

Byrne's NFL head coach power rankings
Interesting. I gotta say in a proud Chicago tradition, Lovie has done more with less than most coaches around the NFL. He lacks any real stars on offense, yet found a way to score enough points to win a bunch of games last year with his defense. What will be interesting is to see how good Lovie looks after a year of high expectations on his team.

yeah pretty much you either have to go further north or more into some of the scarier areas in Gary to get any bargains right now. So next time you come all of the way out to shop in Michigan City IN and don't call, I'll have to start a bloody coup by kicking your butt!

Its Red Arrow Highway in Michigan FWIW. There has been talk of expanding the train that I take into Chicago everyday for work going on for years. I really doubt it will happen in my lifetime thought. New Buffalo is a nice place, but it has gotten expensive to live up there, well at least compared to what it used to be like. If you aunt has any questions about the towns, communities or anything else out here, let me know and I get can pretty much feed her anything she wants to know.

You were literally less than a mile from my house. Did you guys go to Lighthouse Place outlet mall, or up to the actual lighthouse on the lakefront? The HWY 12 route is fun to check out. It really is a beautiful little area.

Training Camp Preview: Offense
At least for the first time in a decade the Bears have a legit back up QB.

Best offseason in the NFL: THe Bears
Continuity is such a big factor in the NFL as you depend on your teammates more than in any other sport IMO. The fact that we bring back both lines totally in-tact is HUGE. The Bears are poised for a huge season if they get some contributions from some of the young offensive guys.

Jones and Benson give Bears solid 1-2 punch
I am curious what they kid can do, but how much PT do you want to give the guy, when you KNOW what Thomas can do for you?

Continuity is key for veteran offensive line
The O-line might be the best part of this team. They are good and they are deep.

Clark looks to take his game to another level
It could do wonders for both the running game and the WRs. It gives the Bears a quick checkdown option, and makes the defense respect the TEs while giving a moments hesitation that could open up the WRs. It would be huge.

Clark looks to take his game to another level
I'd settle for the guy taking his game to a respectable level...

Bears expecting intense competition at receiver
It will be interesting to see if any of these guys can stay healthy for a year. There is a whole lot of potential but not many results. The Bears need at least one, if not two breakout years from this bunch before they can be taken seriously to move to the next level.
