It is time to see what we have on our bench. If Orton can play, it might give us the ability to let Grossman walkaway or send Griese packing. If not, he sits on the bench again, no big loss.

I just think it is funny that you want to cut a guy for getting hurt twice, but have a nice little signature with a guy who suffered three straight season ending injuries. When you make melodramatic statements on something, you might want to make sure you are consistant, or you are probably going to get it pointed out. If you want to get your panties in a bunch about it, have at it. Now feel free to go back to your regularly scheduled hypocrasy.

This is the one way that the Bears can not make it to the playoffs... injuries.

The defense was stellar. To hold Tomlinson to a career low in yards, and still hold the rest of the Chargers offense down is really impressive. The offense was just god awful. The Benson show can start anytime now as far as I am concerned. He missed blocks, fumbled the football, and ran about as hard as my grandmother. It was embarassing.

Ced Benson was terrible yesterday, and all of the preseason. While everyone was having the life or death Grossman debates, should we have been worrying about Benson? I am still waiting to be convinced that he was worth a 4th round pick, let alone a #4 pick.

I'm talking Urlacher big. Urlacher is the one guy in the D, you cannot replace.

Out of all of the Chicago writers, not a single one picked the Bears to beat the Chargers in the opener.
