Any time you have a team that is trying to win the game with the pass rush, IMO, that's exactly what you ought to be doing. Go to the 3 step drop, short routes, and let it open up the passing game.

It's pretty darn hard to see how Tillman vs. either of the Rams receivers is a good matchup for Tillman.

The big problem is, he doesn't seem to be learnign at all. Over the last 4 games, his QB Rating has dropped significantly each game, from like 110 down to 1. I've been one of his defenders, but if he can't at least figure out a way to be steady...

If Benson's contract makes him untradeable, then at the end of this season, I think you just have to trade Jones. The Bears just can't lock up so much salary cap space and talent on the bench.

So next year, the Bears are potentially going to be in the position of having to find replacements for guys like Briggs and a couple of Defensive Backs, or finding the money to pay them big big dollars. Yeah, it'd be nice to hold onto both of them, but just like the Chargers could only hold onto Rivers and Brees together for so long, it only makes sense to carry both guys for so long. Pick one. Turn the other one into something useful. The Bears will be a lot better trading one of those 2 RB's for a starter than they will having a 2nd starting RB sitting on the bench.

Well, let's see who's certain to make it before Gross: 1. Brees 2. Vick No matter what, those 2 look like 100% locks to me. Behind them, you've got your Romos, your Grossman, maybe Favre, Smith on that list too? Behind those first 2 there seems to be a really really big dropoff. Hell, how many guys have actually held up for the entire year?
