Davis and Hester
The other question is why they never realized he couldn't block or catch a pass before having to resign him.

What about Lovie after this year?
They're not going to have him go into a season with a 1 year contract next year since he could get lucky, win, and then be a free agent coach that would take >$10 mil a year to replace. Either he's going to earn a contract extension or this is the time when he will be let go; because he's cheap to replace.

Urlacher out for three games!
Don't the broncos run a 3-4 with Dumerville and Miller as 3-4 OLB's?

What about Lovie after this year?
It all depends on where this season ends.

Chicago @ Minnesota
That was not an auspicious 25 first minutes.

Props to Carimi
Kevin Seifert and some scouts takes on Carimi.

Lance Louis
(I just figured if Kreutz was there, he'd do the mauling of Allen himself, rendering Webb a spectator).

Lance Louis
(Just not sure why he's the one getting that education)

Allen might get fined for hit (should get fined)
Fined $21k.

Sources: Tillman has chipped bone in foot
Trib also says he might be able to play through it.

Cutler to Spaeth Film Breakdown
Why do teams throw passes to fullbacks and defensive linemen who substitute in as eligible receivers in the red zone? Because the defense isn't expecting it. On a designed rollout (you mean those are legal? I'd never have guessed watching the Bears this season) you're running away from 1/2 of the pass rush so the need for a TE block is lessened, Marshall is in front of him to draw the coverage, so you've set yourself up with a clear line of sight throw to a single-covered TE in the end zone.

Lance Louis
Is this the full season IR or the IR with an option to return?

NFC Playoff picture: A look ahead
Really, let's be honest...in the NFC, there isnt' going to be a team in the playoffs that isn't scary. The 5 teams that should be there are the Giants, Bears, 49ers, Falcons, and Packers, and then the Wild Card goes to whichever team gets hottest at the end. There's pretty much no easy road through this. If a team wants to make the Super Bowl from the NFC, they're going to have to go through 2 of those teams. Frankly, I'm just going to enjoy the show.

Vikings @ Bears 11-25-12 Gamethread
Well done.

Props to Carimi
I kept saying the same thing until the last game last year, where Allen absolutely destroyed Webb and had like 5 sacks or something.

Vikings @ Bears 11-25-12 Gamethread
This night game is going well for the Bears.

Is there a significant cap hit/savings if he's cut this offseason?

Seahawks CB's facing 4 game PED suspensions
Link. Seahawks are @ Chicago next Sunday.

Vikings @ Bears 11-25-12 Gamethread
Marshall is first Bear receiver over 1000 yards since Booker, if I heard that correctly.

Cutler passes tests
There shouldn't be a single play where only 1 player faces up with Allen. He ought to at least face a chip on every play, if not outright double team.

Vikings @ Bears 11-25-12 Gamethread
Percy Harvin didn't practice, not expected to play against Bears.

McClellin concussed too?
Shea has been fully cleared to play on Sunday.

Cutler Concussion Thread
It's no trick, he has one last batch of tests he must pass. So far, he's "looking good" according to Lovie and they're expecting him to be ready to pass the final test battery tomorrow.
