Urlacher will play next year, for the Bears. Have every confidence in that. He's not done yet. That said, open to hearing others suggestions, it's time for the Bears to draft a LB highly.

He might be in great shape physically but his drops have gotten worse and worse.

I think Peppers has more than lived up to his contract. He hasn't given you big numbers but he's had the same kind of dominant performances he's put up with Carolina. He doesn't quite pile up the sacks but he controls the line, and the total number of sacks depends on who else is on the line.

Backup/swing tackle is a useful position to have a body at, as long as he isn't too expensive.

If he can get more than $700k from some other team, then this was good business for him. If he can't, then this was bad business for him. If the Bears get better production from their other RB's and open roster spot, great. If they don't fail.

Here's your real chance offensive line, try to get everyone in a groove. Jason Pierre-Paul is expected to miss the game with back stiffness. Bears missing safeties Conte and Hardin, Steltz and UDFA Anthony Walters expected to step in at safety. Adam Podlesh, Bears punter, likely to miss game and long term status still undetermined, Rookie Ryan Quigley will get a trial tomorrow night. Urlacher, obviously, still out. First roster cuts, down to 75, due Monday.

(P.s. I won't be mad if it turns out Lovie is pulling the strings on the Bears drafts...because I think Lovie's job is on the line this year, so if he's still doing the drafts next spring, that means the Bears had a great season).
