  1. I dont have a problem with the fans booing or with Urlachers response. The way I look at it he has given Chicago everything he has on the field for over a decade. Hes been a leader and nobody has ever accused him of never giving 100%.

If the fans booing bothers him then he can express it however he likes. Hes sticking up for his teammates. Its not possible to differentiate between a boo meant for players, the coaches or even the front office so if the fans are booing when the players are on the field then its easy to see why a player would get defensive. In reality Im sure a lot of the fans are more upset with coaching and personnel moves than they are with the players.

Id prefer to have a guy openly admit hes playing for himself and his teammates but leaves it all on the field than a guy who is friendly with fans but doesnt always give 100%

  2. Oooh...I get first pick? I didn't realize the team stunk it up that bad. Last year is such a fleeting memory.

At some point we need to pick our keeper right? And there will be a deadline for that? And it can't be the same as last year? Should I just read the league rules? Thanks....

I just need keepers a few days before the draft

  3. That draft date or time was just to create the league. For the league youre in we still havent picked a date. Im waiting for the last few owners to accept their invites.

For TBK1 here is the draft order:

    1. Da Grizzled

    2. Domination Inc.

    3. Nopper

    4. Cali Bears

    5. PapaBear

    6. Crushers

    7. The Mad Lithuanians

    8. The Bunny

    9. DevilDogs

    10. TELLMARTZSAYF*CKHIM

  4. Just so everyone is clear here, brianbear is in a different/new league then the rest of the people posting in this thread. Well most of them at least. The draft order will be random because it will be the first year of the new league. We can use a random number generator if the people in the new league want to know when theyre gonna pick before the draft though.

  5. I'm definitely interested. Do we pay via Paypal?

Sorry for all of the questions. I've never done a FFL on this site.

We use a site called leaguesafe.com. That way they hold the money and we send it to the winners right when the season is over and they get their money on a prepaid credit card. PM me your email address and Ill send you an invite. Im probably gonna create the league today.

  6. How much per team?

I wasn't in last year, but I might want to do one this year if there's room and depending on the price.

TBK1 is $25 but I believe its full now. Ive been gauging interest on a second league and have about 5 people interested so far and I dont think Ill have a problem filling the rest of the teams. Id assume the cost of the 2nd league will be the same $25.

  7. Thanks to Bradjock for sending me the reminder. I need to know if all the owners are planning on returning. Invites have been sent out so if anyone doesnt plan on returning please let me know so I can invite them. Start thinking about your keepers and draft date. I currently have it set up for Sunday Sept 2nd but we can change it to suit everyone.

I plan on proposing a change in defensive scoring for us to vote on and Ill let everyone know when I come up with something and we can vote.

Due to the interest Ive had from people wanting to join the league and not having room I am going to be starting another pay league through the site. The amount and rules will be determined once all the owners are selected so if youre interested shoot me a pm. People from the TBK1 will be allowed to join but only if there are spots left after people who arent in the first league. I already have at least 3 people, including myself, so the rest of the spots should fill up quick.

  8. It is because he is doing a 3-4 man, lol.

I must have missed where Julius Peppers and Jared Allen were 3-4 defensive ends. Suh and Raji both are more realistic 3-4 ends then those two. If anything they'd be outside linebackers.

Also, how does running a defense with 4 linebackers instead of 3 warrant Lance Briggs not being on the list? Hes been a probowler for like 7 consecutive seasons, including this one, yet he isnt good enough to be a top 4 linebacker in his own division? If you say its because he plays a 4-3 then how did Urlacher make it?

  9. #1- I never said Ruskell gets a pass. Pass for what? I said if they sign Emery and Ruskell stays, let's not act like it's a god awful move that will cripple the franchise for the rest of eternity.

#2- Emery was a scout who likely gave these players high praise which resulted in the Falcons and Chiefs drafting him. Are you sure he doesn't get any credit?

No I have no idea what kind of hand he had in drafting those guys. I also wouldnt mind Emery as the GM. I was more playing devils advocate.

  10. First it was "bring in a potentially great, young GM."

Then it was "bring in a guy who has great history of finding young players."

Now they do that, and it's "well, that's great and all, but he'll keep Ruskell." Who gives a damn? He'll be making personnel decisions, not Ruskell.

With a history of guys like Ryan, Hall, Moeaki, Bowe, McCluster, White, Berry, etc, I'm not sure how anyone can HATE this move if he is the guy.

So give Ruskell a pass because he wasnt making personnel decisions but give the credit to Emery for Ryan, Hall, Moeaki, Bowe, McCluster, White, Berry, etc even though he also wasnt making personnel decisions? Got it

  11. Also, when Chris Williams and Lance Louis were our guards was the best our o line has looked in years. Its always great to upgrade/add depth to your o line but we currently have 4-5 guys who can play guard, 2 of whom looked pretty impressive at times last year, and then at tackle all we really have is the hopes that Carimi can be a contributor. I obviously would love to have Nicks on the team as a luxury and DeCastro could be a good player but our need on the o line is so much worse at tackle that it has to be addressed before we try to upgrade an already capable corps of guards, especially at LT.

  12. ^ ^ ^

So...get a great WR, give a RB $8m this year, get a solid/good/great LT, a solid DB, and a solid DE or DT. That's it? Oh man, that'll be simple!

Sign a number 1 WR, doesnt have to be great but there will be a few number 1 wrs available. Then sign or draft an OT, CB or safety and then a dlineman. Ya its not that hard. Resigning or franchising Forte also takes little to no effort. Its a lot better then trading Briggs and trying to draft his replacement and then having a receiving corps of Bennett, Meacham and Eddie Royal.

  13. I agree. I've been a fan of Jerome Simpson for some time. He could be reaching that point where he grasps it all and makes a breakthrough.

Plus his acrobatics will have the Bears on Sportscenter every week.
