  1. I've always been a big fan of Leftwich, and I'd DEFINITELY bring him in if possible. Have him and Orton battle it out, and draft another to fill the 3 out.
  2. That guys is a disgrace of a reporter.

Trade the 1st and 3rd for Boldin and then our 2nd for McNabb. Booya. You still have a 3rd rounder and you add 2 huge offensive weapons.
  4. I'd sign Asomugha yesterday. He's the single best cover CB in the NFl right now.
  5. Faneca would have improved our O-Line quite a bit. Forte could have run for a lot more with Faneca/Kreutz/Garza in the middle.
  6. This is far from a great article. Is he right? For the most part, yes. But this is a crap article and something that should be seen on a message board and not by a professional journalist.

The negativity of this board boggles my mind. We're ripping on Greg Olsen? Really....

Not nearly as emberassing as the Cowboys though. All they had to do was win, no outside help, and all they have done is score 3 points while giving up 44.
  9. How about you look up their damn contracts before you make stupid posts?
  10. TB lost and Dallas is getting their butts kicked. What a disappointment.
  11. Show me where I said because they are young they are good? They aren't has beens if they haven't even hit their prime yet, that's what I'm saying. Harris has been to 3 pro Bowls in 5 years, as well as being an alternate once, maybe twice. He was healthy late in the year and it showed, he played a lot better. And as far as personal issues...he's one of the most religious players on the Bears, if not in the NFL. He's the least of our worries. He had a better year in 08 than he did in 06, and no one was complaining then.

Everyone is pissed we blew it and all, and this team definitely needs a lot of work, but here's a look at some of the bright spots from the season... 1.) We won 9 games: Yes, we blew 3 games early in the season and we could have easily won 12 or 13, but we improved. We went from 7-9 to 9-7 when people thought we'd be even worse. 2.) Greg Olsen: He had 1 terrible game against Carolina, but he's established himself as a top TE and a great receiving threat. When you have a TE that NFL CB's have trouble defending, you have something good. 3.) Kyle Orton (pre-injury): He was pretty awesome in a few games for us, and before his injury, I really thought we might have had a long-term QB on our hands. He still has a long way to go (looking off defenders, improving the deep ball) but unless we get a legit QB in the offseason, I want Orton as our QB next yr, hopefully with a completely healthy ankle. 4.) Isreal Idonije and Alex Brown: After many complained about Brown's play in 2007, he really came ready to play in 08. He was by far our best, and most consistent defensive lineman. Idonije has kinda been a DE/DT combo lineman but he really excelled this year for us and went from a special teamer/backup to a legit linemen for us. 5.) Matt Forte: Doesn't really need explaining. He's a workhorse. He can run, he can catch, and he's a pretty damn good blocker in the backfield too. With (hopefully) an improved O-Line in 09, he could really become a premier RB. 6.) Danieal Manning as a Kick Returner: He's flippin' good. 7.) Brad Maynard/Robbie Gould: Continue to make the Bears one of the better Special Teams units in the NFL. 8.) Corey Graham/Kevin Payne: Both of the youngsters had some good games for us, and look to be the young replacements for Nate Vasher and Mike Brown. I'd love to have Payne start at SS for us next year, but we really need a legit FS to play next to him in order for them to excel. 9.) Lance Briggs: It's not the system, because the system sucks. He's a great LB.
  13. You really need to relax. How are Mark Anderson and Tommie Harris has beens, both at age 25?
  14. No. No we are not. We need a QB. We need a legit backup RB. We need a FB. We need 2 legit WRs. We need an OT and one, maybe 2 OG. We need an entirely new D-Line. We need an OLB. We need a shut down CB. We need 2 starting safeties. We are not fine overall. Not even close.
  15. Yeah, let's cut 1/2 the defense...
  16. Wow, what a terrible kick.
  17. TD on the sneak...gotta recover the onside kick for ANY chance.
  18. We can only hope.
  19. And.....season.
  20. Oh now the refs want to make the right call.

  22. Apparently the Bears defense doesn't want to be in the playoffs.
  23. Defense has to make a play now.
  24. 2 yards? Really? What a terrible spot.
