  1. In my lifetime (19 years), Marcus Robinson, Marty Booker, Curtis Conway, Bobby Engram, Bernard Berrian, Eddie Kennison. Eww.
  2. Click Me It's nice to see bullet passes thrown to receivers in stride.
  3. My predictions: CB: Tillman Vasher Manning Moore McBride Bowman FS: Graham Bullocks SS: Payne Steltz
  4. You guys are missing the broads part...
  5. More on Tinoisamoa at link as well... http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=5834
  6. After thinking about our team as a whole, it's essentially a giant question mark. It's really interesting because there are question marks at literally every position. We have such huge potential with this team, but they need to pull it together. How weird is it that the only really solidified positions are QB, P, K, and maybe RB. QB: Cutler, you know what you're going to get, but can he continue to get better with this group of receivers? RB: Will Forte continue to grow or will he regress in his sophomore year? Could he be our franchise guy for a long time? And who the hell is going to back him up? FB: Will McKie actually do anything? Will Gaines take over? WR: The biggest question mark of them all. Can Hester learn the playbook for good and improve his catching abilities? Can Bennett learn the playbook and break out with a familiar QB? How long until Rashied Davis is purely a special teamer? Can any of the rookies step up and become a reliable receiver? Will we bring in a veteran like Toomer or Harrison to solidify the position? Plaxico? TE: Will Olsen take the next step to becoming a perennial Pro Bowler? Can he improve his blocking? How much more does Dez Clark have left in the tank? Can we expect anything out of Gaines or Davis? OL: Can Pace finish his career strong? How much does he have left? What will happen between Garza/Omilaye/Shaffer/Beekman/Buenning? Can Williams recover from the injuries and prove his worth as a 1st rounder? --- DL: Can Rod Marinelli work some magic on these guys? We have a plethora of athletic lineman, but it seems that none of them played well last year outside of Alex Brown? Can Ogunleye show up and be a force on the end in his contract year? Can Anderson show those crazy rushing abilities from his rookie year? Can Tommie Harris stay healthy? Will Idonije play inside or outside? What can we expect out of the rookie Jarron Gilbert? Will Adams and Harrison continue good play as backup DT? LB: Briggs seems to be a sure thing if he stays healthy but can Urlacher rebound from a tough season? Will Roach or Hillenmeyer step up and take the outside role? Can Freeman show anything as a rookie? Do we bring in Tinoisamoa for competition? CB: Absolutely nothing is set in the secondary. We have tons of talent but they need to put it together. Can Tillman rebound and be that shut-down CB on the bigger receivers? Can Vasher stay healthy and be a Pro Bowler again? What can we expect from Danieal Manning? Is he a CB or safety? Ditto Graham. Ditto Bowman. Can Moore come in as a rookie and be a solid nickel back or more? Can we expect anything from McBride? S: A clusterfuck of guys who seems to all be SS. Bullocks, Steltz, Payne, Afalava. I like Payne at SS but who can step up and be the FS? Will one of Graham, Bowman, Manning, Steltz or Bullocks be that guy? P: Brad Maynard. 'Nuff said. K: Robbie Gould. 'Nuff said. I love the potential that this team has, especially at the CB position. There is so much talent there that if healthy, we could have a MUCH improved secondary. With Tillman, Vasher, Graham, Moore, Bowman, McBride, and Manning, we have depth and talent. The WR position is obviously also a toss-up but I'm very excited about Iglesias and Bennett. If things work out well, we could have a really REALLY good team.
  7. Amani Toomer would be a REALLY good pickup right now.
  8. This is pretty ridiculous to speculate an entire year in advance. Though it's funny you have us at 64...meaning we won the Super Bowl. With that said, I freaking love Major Wright. If we are able to get him next year, that'd be incredible.
  9. Wow, that video actually impressed the hell out of me. Kiper had his as his 73rd best safety or something?
  10. According to the Sun Times, we only offered our 2nd rounder and nothing else because a contract extension was a big issue to Angelo which brought his value down. I agree to an extent as offering a huge deal to a guy with injury issues is never a good idea, but this team was desperate for WR help. I certainly hope the lines stay open.
  11. I absolutely LOVE this pick.
  12. Updated the first post.
  13. Oh, and Dvoracek/Bazuin have absolutely been non-factors.
  14. People complaining about D-Linemen need to realize that we had NO pressure on the quarterback last season. Anderson regressed, Ogunleye is getting older, Brown had a great season but how much longer will he be a big factor, Harris has injury issues, and between Adams and Harrison, we weren't really blowing anyone away. I REALLY wanted Maiava there but he went to CLE the pick before us.

    Boldin

So you're saying that someone we draft in the 2nd round will be able to give us 90 catches, 1000+ yards, and 10+TD's next year? Because that's what Boldin brings.

    Boldin...

Boldin was leading the NFL in everything when he went down with that injury. He's legitamitely one of the top WR in the league when healthy. He's a TD scoring machine and he AUTOMATICALLY makes Hester even more dangerous as a deep threat. If you line up Boldin/Hester/Olsen/Forte with Cutler as your QB, you're going to have one of the best offenses in the league. If he's not worth $9 million, then I don't know who is. The people who slurp Fitzgerald are hilarious. Is he great? Absolutely. But Boldin missed 4 games and still only finished with 7 less receptions, 300 less yards, and 1 less TD. If you have the opportunity to get Boldin for a 2nd rounder, you do it and run away giggling like a little girl. I don't think people realize how DYNAMIC our offense could be with Boldin. Obviously you have Cutler, a Pro Bowl QB back there behind what should be a good offensive line. You have Boldin as your #1 receiver, a Pro Bowler and a stud. Hester lines up on the opposite side, a deep threat with enormous potential. And you have Bennett in the slot, who Cutler has a LOT of confidence in. Then you have Olsen, a premier pass-catching TE and Clark who isn't too shabby himself. Not to mention you have a DAMN good RB in Forte who is fantastic catching out of the backfield. You kidding me!?!? You're adding Cutler, Boldin, Pace, and Schaffer/Omiyale to an offense that scored 23.4 points per game last season and finished 9-7. And they COULD have been 12-4 or 13-3 if not for some stupid late-game breakdowns. Yes please.
  17. Exactly. It's a crapshoot no matter what. However, BearSox is so sure that Massequoi will suck, so it doesn't make a difference. I don't know how Colston going so late is a scout failure either way. In half of his rookie season, he outperformed his best college season. Part of the reason he was picked so late is due to people thinking he'd end up as a TE in the NFL also.
  18. Look at how high Joe Flacco's stock rose in the off-season. I wouldn't be too worried about it.
  19. Clearly you know more than all the NFL scouts who are watching him. I'm sure you though Marques Colston also wasn't good but that David Terrell was a stud.
  20. If I'm not mistaken, Allen is usually at left end, so Chris Williams would be the man with the duty of stopping him.
  21. Holt's home/road splits the past 3 seasons: 2008: Home - 34 rec, 483 yds, 3 td Road - 30 rec, 313 yds, 0 td 2007: Home - 41 rec, 597 yds, 6 td Road - 52 rec, 592 yds, 1 td 2006: Home - 45 rec, 660 yds, 7 td Road - 48 rec, 528 yds, 3 td He definitely scores more touchdowns at home, but he actually got more catches on the road. And with our 2009 schedule, he'll get 4 warm/indoor games vs Detroit, Minnesota, Atlanta, and at the dome in Seattle. And I wouldn't worry too much about the knee issues. He still managed to play in all 16 games for the Rams last year.
  22. I have an authentic Orange Bernard Berrian jersey if anyone wants it...it'd probably go very cheap.
  23. If he doesn't miss any significant amount of time, I'd be all for signing him to a deal. He makes our offense potentially GREAT. And I really do mean great.
  24. There is no way Stafford lasts past #12.
