Williams 22, St. Clair 30, Kreutz 30, Garza 29, Tait 33. Average age: 28.8 Tait 33, Brown 36, Kreutz 30, Garza 29, Miller 35. Average age: 32.6 Thats what really matters right now. If the Offensive Line is more like 2006 than 2007, the Bears will be just fine.

The Raiders just cut Dominic Rhodes. Wouldn't be opposed to adding him in the mix either.

I give it a B. Would have given it an A if we could have gotten a QB somewhere. I like the Williams pick in the 1st. We absolutely needed a LT, and this guy can step in and start right away. It's an upgrade at 2 positions really, because now we can move Tait to RT where he is better suited. While the Forte pick might have been a reach, I like the guy overall. He has great college numbers and his videos show some incredible ability to hit the hole with some steam. He looks to me like a mesh between Thomas Jones and Deuce McAllister. I loooove the Bennett pick. He's one of those sleeper WR after the Thomas/Sweed/Jackson of the world. He and Monk should compete for some spots with our weak WR core. Bennett is a great route runner and apparently is pretty reliable with his hands. Harrison fills a depth need at DT. Dvoracek has been injured both seasons, Scott left, Tommie is an uncertainty, and it looks like Idonije is moving to DE. He's a good value pick. Steltz...I freakin love the guy. Nuff said. Bowman is a questionable pick. Coming off 2 knee surgeries and with the depth we already have at CB, it was a bit confusing. Same thing with Davis. Though he has some kind of potential. He's a depth pick. We needed a good 3rd TE, we got one. The rest of the guys pretty much just fill needs/depth. I've read that both Barton and Adams can play both G/T, so thats good as well. Baldwin is a questionable pick, but we didn't really need Mark Anderson, and that worked out well. LaRocque? Purely special teams in my book.

Yeah, lived on Campus in Allendale this past year, but I'm back in Chicago right now for Summer Break. Go back to GR in mid-August.

I'm hoping we take a flier on G/T Brandon Barnes from GVSU in the 7th. The guys is a monstrosity of a man and won the DII Gene Upshaw award. I saw every one of his home games last season where he played RT and he doesn't let anyone get by him. And he's so big it's not easy to get around him either. That'd be a good value pick to me. The Chiefs already took one of my GV guys in Brandon Carr.
-
Thats is correct, we got another 7th from Miami. We have 208, 222, 243, 247, and 248.
-
Who the hell are you going to get late in the 5th round that makes this team so much better? Give me a break, my god. We're not getting Tom Brady here.
-
Yes, I do. I'm not panicking because we still have 4 7th round picks.
-
But....but....DENNIS DIXON!!!!!111!!1!!!1
-
Just stop. Please. You are overreacting waaaaaay too much.
-
Bears fans have gone retarded over an off-season. Unbelievable.
-
You are ridiculous and so is this thread. We lost Gilmore and now have an excellent trio of TE's. Relax. He also played DE, so we might be looking to convert him. We'll see.
-
Agreed. His videos remind me a lot of what Thomas Jones did with the Bears. He finds the hole, hits it hard, and goes. He also shows great patience when going laterally. I've liked the guy since I first saw him mentioned with the Bears.

As of now, our OL looks like this: LT Williams - LG Metcalf/St. Clair - C Kreutz - RG Garza - RT Tait compared to last years: LT Tait - LF Brown - C Kreutz - RG Garza - RT Miller I'd say it's improved, but we still don't know about that left side. Hopefully someone like Beekman could stand out and win a job, or we draft another T or G in rounds 3-5.
-
You don't think Doucet or Manningham could come in and compete for us?
-
I would have preferred drafting Brohm in the 2nd then getting someone like Jamaal Charles in the 3rd, as well as a WR/OG/DT. Who knows, Forte might have even been there in the 3rd for us.
-
I think the Bears need to focus on WR and WB/OL in the 3rd round. WR is definitely a need, and I can see them taking Manningham if he is there, and hopefully Doucet. There really isn't a QB I'd take in the 3rd. I'd rather spend a 4th on Woodson or Ainge or Booty. Angelo may also look at someone like Craig Steltz, Quintin Demps or Tom Zbikowski to add another safety.
-
If Sweed fell to the Bears, that'd be incredible.
-
With Reggie Smith still on the board, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the pick. But I expect either Doucet or Forte to be a Bear here soon, maybe even Ray Rice.
-
The Jets would like to trade up into the early/mid 2nd round. Let me know if anyone is looking to trade.
-
Sticking with the defense, the New York Jets select CB Antonie Cason, out of Arizona. The Atlanta Falcons are on the clock once again...
-
...............it's an internet message board mock draft.
-
You could probably make a case for Jimbo Covert, Jay Hilgenberg and Dave Duerson in there. I'd probably take Butler over Gould too.
-
With the 6th pick in the NFL Draft, the New York Jets select...Vernon Gholston, DE, out of Ohio State. The Denver Broncos are on the clock...
-
I'm the Jets, and I'm talking to YOU Cowboys....McFadden?
