  1. I was there! http://www.talkbears.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5965
  2. Bait taken! ...or maybe not so much as just my 2 cents. (I can't help but chime in on anti-Smith sentiment...) 1. Good damn question. Cheap? Certainly would appear so to some... Vriginai loves him for some reason. Nice guy, crummy coach. 2. Another good question. Riding on a handful of late round picks and mid round picks that did well. But doesn't make up for plethora of early round busts. 3. You're on a roll! His hire was a favor for the stadium deal. And at least got Mikey boy out of the spotlight. It's time for someone with real knowedge to run this team correctly. 4. It boggle my mind personally... We let quality go for a few bucks. Now, peppers will be doubled, and Anderson will watch AP and others run past him for huge gains.
  3. Or his ass, as the door hits it on the way out!
  4. http://leisureblogs.chicagotribune.com/the...-last-time.html I felw in from LA on frequent flier miles at the last minute when my buddy scored tickets. I went to the 10PM show. I missed Ditka, but actually saw him walk past us out the door while waiting in line. He looked like he was hurting... Couldn't walk really well. But Van Horne filled in beautifully! All the guys put on a fully read of the script! David Koechner, Wendt, Montegna, Smigel, Sanz (who did an amicable job filling in for the late great Farley...), and Odenkirk were hilarious! It's honestly everything you'd have expected. Pure ridiculousness. They Make "It's Pat" and not this! Maybe it wouldn't have been a national hit, but I gurantee we'd all have the deluxe edition DVD's at home in heavy rotation! After the show they joked around a lot and auctioned off a few items. If you stuck around, a lof of the cast hung around to chat. I met George Wendt, Horatio Sanz, and KEITH VAN HORNE! He was totally cool. And he's the most enourmous human being I've ever been around. I'm not a small guy at 5'10" and 250 lbs, and I looked liked a tiny person next to him! The ring was super cool to look at close up. It was a hell of an event!
  5. Yup... I'd like to pin a pink slip on Smith's shirt...
  6. Pompei seems to be mixing up "depth" and "volume"
  7. Outrageousness! http://www.amazon.ca/Johnny-Good-Anthony-M...l/dp/B00009OWJV And he was in a movie with Robert Downey Jr. and Uma Thurman!
  8. Loved it! You may have stretched a few to get to 9...but I loved seeing all of it! I'm a huge Jimmy Mac fan...
  9. If that's your actual plate, then that is kick ass!
  10. Honestly, I think it's too early to really tell what's going on. Much of Beekman's situation rests on the health of Kreutz.
  11. Kind of a cool ad from the Bears giving their congrats....
  12. So true! I play in a league with 3 of 12 owners being Bears fans...so there's 1/4 of the folks making a Bears reach every now and then! I know I reached for olsen last year, one guys reached for Cutler, and the other took Hester as a slight reach. Others took Gould and the Bears D at legit spots I thihnk.
  13. I bascially agree. Some may latch onto the hype, but I think smart money doesn't draft much Bears O. I only see Cutler as a true potential for something big. Olsen should give about the same as last year, and he was a bust compared to the hype relaating to other TE's in the league. Forte and Taylor will steal touches from one another, and I think the WR will be the flavor of the month. I don't expect any true stand out. I figure Cutler will deliver the pilll to everyone. Including some defenders...
  14. I know as much about soccer as I do brain surgery... So I'm basically sponsoring the pool I'm in! But I figured w/ everyone else taking favorites, I'd make a play at t along-shot... At least that's what I thought. Regardless, I'm better betting on pro football! Money in the bank!
  15. I'm a Cubs fan, but my heart isn't 100% into it. My dad was an immigrant from Lithuania and never liked baseball. So it took friends to get me into it. But it was much later in my life well after high school where I finally started to enjoy the game. (Probably becasue I could drink beer...) So, I definitley am not caught up into the decades of suffering as many Cubs fans can say. Aslo, because I don't bleed the colors like I do for the Bears, I harbor no ill will towards the White Sox. In fact, I was thrilled when they won the series. Because I knew that my fellow Bears fans were happy! And it was great for the city to freakin' win something since the glory days of the Bulls!
  16. I've got England winning it all... A shot in the dark... This ADIDAS commercial was too cool! Seem it? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Zd_khk6zXo
  17. You must be a very happy man! A hundred + years of grinning!
  18. Agreed.... And Cubs sucking... Which really isn't news.
  19. Agreed. I could see if we drafted a first round D-Back talent. But Wright was a 3rd round pick. I expect some delay in development. Otogwe would solve an instant need, and we'd finally have some decent depth at the spot besudes watching Manning getting burned for the umpteenth time. And if we don't sign Atogwe simply because of lack of cash...is that not fuel for the fire for calling the Bears cheap yet again? Would it really break the bank for the McCaskey's? Really? ...and 've been hearing rumblings that Detroit is the front runner for his services. Why does that somehow scare me?
  20. Agreed. We've honestly heard so much talk these past years after the failed SB, that I no longer trust anything until I see it. It all sure sounds good. But it's all about deeds, not words.
  21. ...or nude pictures. Someone always appears to have something on Smith. Because there is no other logical reason why he does certian things.
