  1. Walter Payton It was a trick question.
  2. At first I was very opposed, but you make a good point. We need a battering ram. Could he be it?
  3. KR is the new QB... It's like the last 20 years where we started 4-8 different QB's a season.
  4. If we could embrace Rodman, Suh won't be a problem in the least!
  5. I've been pounding the same drum regarding Briggs...
  6. To your point...those 1-2 error seem to come at the only time in a game where the errors matter. If he'd do stupid thing in the 1st qtr, they are somewhat forgiveable and at least he's able to make up for it.

  8. Good musing C-Dog... There's really nothing I can argue with other than the D. I give them a D. I do not see them as average, I see them as below average. We know some of the scores aren't quite on them, but the reality is we've given up 23,20,19,38,31. We started off well enough (basically holding anyone 20 and under is just fine), but the past 2 games have been atrocious. I think I could change my grade maybe to a C- since 3 of the 5 games were OK, but 2 were atrocious.
  9. Thanks for putting all that out there!
  10. I was watching an episode of Comcast live, and I forget which reporter (I think David Kaplan) mentioned it...but given the set of circumstances, it's up to Tretman to make the most of what we have. He needs to know Cutler's limitations and his propensity to turn the ball over at inopportune times. It's on him to call plays to place Cutler in a better position to reduce that probability. I'm not exactly sure how...but that's why Trestman makes more money than I...
  11. Forte's problem is he can't get the tough yard. We lack a bruiser.
  12. No to mention no fullback...
  13. Exactly. They (the O) are simply not holding up their end of the bargain (coaches and players).
  14. Good counterpoints. I don't agree with all your assessments, but it is best that we let this play out. As it will. I think after we see the entire season, we can all better assess the situation. In the meantime, I think it's fair for everyone to question things.
  15. I feel your pain! I'm very disappointed in our entire coaching staff and many of our players. I'm still not sure about Emery. I think Geo is better than Mike as a MsCaskey in charge. But, I'm not really sure how good he is and how much power Sweatty Teddy still has. That side, I'm not as disappointed in in all honesty. They gave Emery the go and only asked that he retain Smith the one more year. This is Phil's baby now. So, he better make moves when it's needed or he will suffer the same fate as Angelo. I could see Trestman coming around. BUt I see no hope for DeCamilis or Tucker. They will make it through the season. But assuming there isn't some miracle turnaround in those phases...they should be gone at season's end.
  16. On the trade, I don't see it! They have Glennon... Now, the Raiders...that's another question!
  17. His numbers are great for fantasy. The end results, not so good in reality.
  18. Those of us holding out for hope are now grasping at strings... Sadly, I think you, Alaska, and others might be correct about Cutler. He does have 11 more games to show us otherwise. But, personally, I am no longer thinking it to be probable. Still possible, but not probable. If these last 5 ganes are what we will always get out of Cutler, it will have been a mistake. Too much money tied up into a see-saw 8-8 guy ranging from potential all-star to also-ran journeyman.
  19. I'm not saying we should or that it will happen, but I could see a scenario where Cutler is traded to the Raiders and Gruden takes them over.
  20. Yes, the lustre is starting to wear off. All this offensive talent and so little to show for it. The buck stops at the top. I think if we go under .500, Emery would have enough to move on from Trestman. Or he risks his own career.
  21. Sadly, I think you may be right. Currently, it looks like the worst fear about taking Cutler long term is playing out. Many were hoping he'd turn the corner. It appears he's making a U-turn...
