Gotcha wasn't sure his position or age, I too would pass.
-
Would you like some cheese with your whine? Per the definition of a rumor, those would be called rumors. Definition of RUMOR 1 : talk or opinion widely disseminated with no discernible source 2 : a statement or report current without known authority for its truth

Here is some recent rumors going around. I would like to see the Bears get an upgrade to the Nick Roach position. Depending on the money being spent to do so as we have alot bigger needs of course. Bears | May have interest in David Hawthorne Wed, 15 Feb 2012 13:23:36 -0800 The Chicago Bears could show interest in Seattle Seahawks impending free-agent LB David Hawthorne because his ability to play all three linebacker positions in a 4-3 defensive alignment. 0 Comments | Share: | Source: ESPNChicago.com - Michael C. I don't understand why anyone would compare Roy Williams with Randy Moss. Last I checked Randy Moss was still tied 2nd alltime in TD receptions. Given he may not be the Randy Moss 5 years ago but he is light years better then any receiver currently on the Bears roster. I wouldn't give him money like a Dwayne Bowe and others but I would seriously consider giving him a production laden contract with incentives.
-
Yes please. Get Bowe, Moss and draft receiver in the first 3 rounds of the draft and we are set at WR. Bowe, Moss, Bennett and a rookie sounds good to me.
-
Sorry Roy Williams and pleased don't belong in the same sentence. Unless it's people are pleased he won't be brought back. He has no heart, and for the physical tools he has, he should have been a much better player. I will be willing to bet and will eat crow if he doesn't, that McNutt has a better career then Roy Williams.
-
In the words of the Big Lebowski..."Well, You Know, That's Just, Like, Your Opinion, Man" since we just don't know. But I will say this if either one of them is drafted by the Bears I would hope he was better than Roy Williams as Roy was a huge bust for 1st round draft choice.
-
I would definately take McNutt over Toon. I have watched both players thru their college careers and Toon is too inconsistant and drops too many balls. I think he would be a better comparison to Roy Williams then McNutt. McNutt has awsome hands.

Did you even read my original response to you completely? I stated that that article was one of many. The first place I read about it was in the CHICAGO TRIBUNE. http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2012-01...yde-christensen "Ex-Seahawks offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates, Cutler's quarterbacks coach in Denver, will not be considered for the position." This was per Vaughn McClure. Thank you drive thru
-
Ah so it is only valid information from reporters if you agree with it. Glad we could clear that up.
-
Since when do you talk to the people in the Bears FO? The only way people would hear about ANYTHING the people in the FO said would be by reading, get ready for it......something published or reported by a reporter. Oh and here is one of the many articles out there that were exactly stating he wasn't going to be considered due to the snub before. http://www.windycitygridiron.com/2012/1/13...to-jeremy-bates In regards to you hearing about some sort of communication issue with Angelo being the reason JUST came out after they hired him and was stated in the Tribune article about it. They tried to go different directions and noone else wanted a position where they might be replaced with the whole coaching staff next year or they were given assistant coach status as well.
-
Haha I knew it! Like I said in a previous thread the Bears would stop having their temper tantrum and then hire Jeremy Bates. And it is so! I like the hire even though they look foolish again after stating they wouldn't hire him because he went to Seattle instead the first time around.
-
If that is the case then this statement "Now if you are trying to base it on production or stats that is different than how a scout looks at success. If a scout recommends a prospect and he stays in the NFL more than 4 years that is deemed a success." has no valor since there is no general guideline to reference per you. Just saying
-
With that thought process Frank Omabum would be considered having had a "good" career.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,3478746.story Good read
-
"quarterback Rex Grossman, guard Terrance Metcalf, defensive tackle Ian Scott " Good careers? Really?

http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2012/01/ph...lcons_to_t.html http://www.suntimes.com/sports/10313472-60...to-the-top.html That's interesting. He seems to know his receivers. I heard he also pushed for Dwayne Bowe when he was in K.C.
-
Anyone know anything about this guy?
-
vxmcclure23 about 2 hours ago Lovie Smith will meet with former Bucs QB coach Alex Van Pelt Tuesday about QB coach/passing game coordinator opening.
-
He sure sounds like a "Meat and Potato". That press conference was pretty bad. Sync with Lovie, what is Lovie a Palm Pilot? Hopefully things work out. I'll support him until he gives me reason to otherwise.
-
http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2012/01/ti...ears_playe.html Article about it. I like his first move already. Here's to hoping we finally have someone in place that actually knows what they are doing!
-
I'll say right now I want Jason Licht to be the GM.
-
Ya I'm a little hesitant on Stevie as well. I have also heard he is sorta kinda crazy!
