I would prefer to see an upgrade at CB come from FA then using a high draft pick. Save the higher draft picks to add talent in the trenches.

I would say Borum is more so the place holder over Leatherwood. They gave him a few snaps and it didn't work well at all. But RT will most likely come round 1 or 2.

One strike was he wasn't accustomed to playing the outside zone scheme the Bears use. Then he only wanted to play LT. Maybe Taylor Lewan as a short term fix can be a guy. Keep plucking from Tennesee. They run the outside zone too, so Lewan is accustomed. That is one reason Nate Davis fits.

Wonder if we will hear the Bears offered him more money but wouldn't give him the LT position. That was what I figured his hold up was.

I scratch my head sometimes with him and some moves. I expected him to get a starter vet on the Dline and Oline. He has time, but I would've liked to see the draft be used BPA instead of driven by filling position needs. Same thing happened last year with WR. Our needs dry up fast. It is hard to count Nate Davis unless Whitehair moves to C.

Scouts have said before the incident he doesn't love the game. He is not a Eberflus guy imo.

I know the odds of DE Tyree Wilson available at 9 are slim but to trade down to 13 and still get him is now unrealistic. Getting 3 athletic giants in DE Wilson 6-5" 271, DE White 6-4" 285, and DT Smith 6-3" 323 would give the Bears some monsters to help keep the back 7 clean. Then add Pickens 6-3 291.
