You can tell Houston used to be a Raider, drawing a flag.

Fuller listening to Tillman?
-
Smith had been sacked 3 times in the first 2 games. Ferguson is a pretty good LT.
-
Looked to me like the Jet defender got a hand on it and changed the direction, could be wrong.

Put a fat white guy back there and see what happens... lol
-
Weightcist, fat white guys can run too....

The Bears have a Special Teams unit?
-
I think it will be a little closer and lower scoring. Their offensive strength is their running game, that will wind the clock. The Bears have injuries on a front 7 that had troubles week 1. I also wasn't expecting an early Mundy TD.
-
Lovie when he took over as DC was just as bad.
-
Apples to oranges, indeed. Your comparisson, no, no, no, no, no. After AP, Forte is arguably the best RB in the league. Doug Martin had one good year and is injured again this year. Rainey is a fumblefest. Brandon Marshall is debatable, talent wise, as the top WR in the league. Only Megatron could trump it, Jackson is over a tier below. Guys like Julio Jones, AJ Green, Dez Bryant and even Alshon Jeffery is above him. Their rookie WR is a rookie and doesn't deserve to be in the discussion. I don't even need to mention the offensive lines, because we all saw that thurs. In another comment, someone asked if Cutler can't be compared to McCown's situation, how can he be compared to greater QBs? Quite simply, no one declared McCown a great QB, he is great in this system. Tedford has not ran an offense in over 10 years, and only did so in college. Trestman running an offense that has been successful for over 20 years. McCown excelled in that offense, with the talent there. Tedford has also been dealing with major physical problems int hat time. I call BS in the comparison of Cutler to McCown now. McCown is obviously not in near the advantage Cutler has now. The Buccs are more comparable to the Jaguars in talent than the Bears.

http://www.si.com/nfl/2014/09/18/brandon-m...iolence-charges There's a pretty negative take.

Honestly, I think he messed up and branching out all of his opinions. It woulnt have been a big thing handing out his packets and saying there are the true facts, not getting on the process and using himself as a reason the system is wrong and so on. His hheart was in the right place, his preperation was bad, and his timing was god awful.

delete my other thread, i was happy for him and made one that shoulda went here
-
Forced Fumble, Rushing TD, return for a TD. Good to see him thriving in Atlanta and i felt he would be motivated against his father figure in Lovie.
-
I go with Urlacher for the win. The defense was never the same when he was hurt or after he was gone Trestman still has a bit to prove but still has my support. I was never a Lovie fan.

Cutler is locked up as long as Trestman at this point. They are tied together good or bad. McCown is 35 now, you can't tie your career to him for 36 and 37. It was a gamble on correcting Cutler's short comings vs. being able to draft a QB of the future before he was gone. If you have pride in your coaching, you think you can change Cutler and you won't be in a position in the draft to draft an elite QB. We disagree obviously on the two, but I think we both agree on the McCown vs. Cutler argument isn't based on what happens this year. The majority of McCown's support will be based on what he could do in Trestman's offense with the Bear's weapons. Comparing what he does elsewhere is just strawman, as no one I have seen has compared their talent outside of that situation. Most would concede that.

I don't post much anymore, but i follow everything on here cause this board has been a home to me for years. The last game showed my opinion of Cutler perfectly. The offense was inefficient and he was having a bad game going into half time. He came back out at the half and turned it into an excellent game. It's that inconstancy that he has that I don't like. He is who he is at this point and Trestman can't change that. The second half shows why Trestman would want to gamble on him over an aging QB. The NFL is win now. However, I think McCown is way better in this system and it may have been better to look for the future with him at QB and while finding a young replacement that would work.
-
It was proven against the same a few of the same defenses they both played, awful or not. How were the draft picks in the Lovie Smith era on offense and D and additions through free agency? It matters who coaches him, because he is great at working with in Trestman's system, while Cutler is Cutler.
-
Exactly, her goal wasn't to hound him, but go for Goodall. He insulted her and she may bring it to him.
-
The point is simple. He plays for Lovie. How was Lovie's offensive lines over the years? He has even more pull in Tampa, and you see how it is now. How has Lovie's choices of OC's been over the years? His current OC is unproven, has had health issues, their line is horrible, and at every level and their talent is below that of Chicago at every position. More importantly, he's not playing in Trestman's where a QB that plays in it can succeed. Trestman had success with an aging WR corps, no name RB's and QB with poor mensurable but could play with in his system. McCown could go into this system, follow it and let the Bears 2 pro bowl WR's, RB, andtop 10 TE make plays with in the system and be better than Cutler behind the Bears line. Jay Cutler= Better than McCown in a Lovie Smith team. McCown is better than Cutler in a Trestman team. It was proven last year. You are compairing apples to oranges with this thread.

It was horrible to do the interview, but I think he is more valuable as an example of rehabilitation right now, than to suspend him over something years ago. He made an ill advised speech, but i don't think it will kill him. The only way it bites him in the butt, is if his insulting the lawyer brings her to push things further with him and not just against Goodell.
-
I don't see him getting in trouble with the NFL. I could see him losing some sponsors or Showtime job over this. The press conference was just an ill advised choice given the current climate of the NFL and there was no way for it to turn out as a positive.
-
I listened to it on the Score, but I think the NFL Network and others covered it. He came out after Mel Tucker and the ST coach. I guess the team didn't want him to talk, he kept insisting.
-
He talked for 45 minutes to an hour. He really said nothing to help himself, and maybe a few things that could hurt himself. His key points from what I could take - He was pissed(his words) at ESPN because they ignored the packet of evidence he sent them. - It was mostly his ex's fault and it cost him 50 million in sponsors and income - People shouldn't judge players until all the evidence comes out, because he was innocent - Goodell is a good guy He brought up a puking girl at his house that went to his neighbors and accused him of rape. It wasn't true. If those accusations got out, he could have been suspended for 6 games before the evidence. Brought up if the woman reporter said he raped her or hit her he would be suspended. He wanted to know how much money Allred had donated to her causes, and if there wasn't better ways for her to support her causes. It was just a bunch of craziness, jumbled in a bunch of rambling and very bad timing.
