Not so much now, they should have never let him have that press conference that just happened.

In the next couple games, Forte could eclipse the 10,000 yards total mark for the Bears. Currently he sits at 6,748 yards rushing and 3.005 yards receiving. That's amazing considering he is only in the beginning of his 7th year and has missed a few games with injury.

Please elaborate on what is racist about his comment? After his comment on Tucker, he praised Lovie Smith for leaving his mark on the D. He then insulted a white guy, Shea McClellin, as a reason the Bears will be lucky to go 8-8. Mel Tucker's illustrious career includes stints as the DC for the perennial playoff teams the Browns and the Jaguars. His unparalleled defensive mind fielded a team last year, comparable to the 85 Bears, how could anyone question how he got his job?
-
I seriously do not see how his comments are racist, care to elaborate? Terra didn't say that Tucker was bad because he is a minority. He basically said the following: 1) Tucker is a bad coordinator. 2) Something must have helped a coordinator that can't do the job in his opinion get said job 3) It must have been the Rooney Rule. I see no difference in that comment, as to saying Bob Babich must haven gotten the defensive coordinators job due to being friends with Lovie, despite being inept. Criticizing the Rooney Rule does not make one a racist. Nor does, in the opinion of Terra, that Tucker is a bad coordinator make him racist. The Rooney Rule just does not apply in this case, as it only concerns head coaching jobs. In this case, Tuckers apparent ineptitude rests squarelyon the shoulders of Emery and Trestman. I think there is just over reaction due to prior distaste for Terra, and pinning racism on him is uncalled for.

Breaking my TalkBears sabbatical for one post. You were right on your comment orginally, Cutler did not deserve his contract and is what he is. Secondly, Terror's comment is not racist. If the Rooney Rule can be used to elevate good hires, it can be used to criticize bad hires also. However, the Rooney Rule does not apply to the monstrosity that the Bears call a Defensive Coordinator in Mel tucker, it only applies to Head Coaching hires. Talk Fantasy Bears #2, the season is already over, I won....

I edited my posts. I'll stand by my words, but I would appreciate those that quoted me to edit thiers too so that younger people that come here don't read it. I changed my tone a long time ago for flea and his family, and many words I said should not be here. It's how I feel, but I'd not like pedal those words to young people that should be watching Sponge Bob, and not reading my language.

This is likely my last post, at least for a while. But these were my favorite posters and would love to see them back. Flea is just awesome and NFO was either on point or fun to argue with. I'd also like to see Terra post more cause he was cool and could make me laugh. pixote needs to get in the groove and post a little more too, along with Brletich and i could name many others I would like to read while I am away. Edit: Since I named that many names, I hate to leave out Connor and LT even tho me and him disagree a bit. I really liked his thought out posts.

Same as above.

Edit: Cleaned up out of respect. Drunken rant, sure. Feel the same sober.

Honestly, I feel I could rip your points apart. I have no interest in it, as McCown is in TB now, Cutler has a fat contract, and it's old news. The guy excelled last year and there's no logical way to agrue against it. On a more important note, BRING BACK JASON!!!! He's one of the last people on here that I look forward to's posts. They are always logical, and any name calling I have seen has been either in response to what others have said then or in the past.

The last thing I care to do is get into a Cutler vs. McCown debate at this point, but I don't mind pointing out some inaccuracies. McCown may have not face many world beaters on defense, but he preformed on a high level and deserves credit. Cutler's worse games were not only against bad teams, but against teams that McCown excelled against in the same game. Cutler's four lowest QB rating games last year was against teams ranked 20th or worst against the pass. He had a bad game twice against the Lions which are 23rd, one of which McCown came in and outperformed him. The Redskins were 20th, and once again McCown came in and outdid Cutler against the same team, in the same game. Then his fourth worst game was in the blow out against the Eagles, the last ranked pass defense. Trestman made his choice, and we will see how that goes going forward. I still must ask, why wasn't Cutler piling up numbers against those bad defenses?
-
Jay Cutler's only consistency in his career, at this point, is that he is inconsistent. He has by far played at a higher level than McCown has over that time. Last year tho, McCown showed the leaps that can be made by playing within Trestman's system. He was the model of consistency last year. While Cutler reached his highest qb rating last year, I feel it was just Jay Cutler with better weapon's and line surrounding him.
-
Cutler being referred to as consistent?

I've never served, but had many friends that have and still do. Luckily, I have not lost a friend yet to service, but had heard many heart breaking stories of friends they have. A few friends that had served before in the army/marines and about to go on their second or third tour total with the reserves this week for a year in Afghanistan.

As much as it shames me to say it, Chris Carter was my favorite WR of all time. If Marshall can learn those sideline catches, he may last even longer than that.

Shout out to wesson, were ever he may be any onyone else here that served or serving.

Jerry was solid til he was forty,it was unreal. Him and Tim Brown were fun to watch with Trestman leading them as when Rice was in San Fran with him. Marshall has been vocal lately, even calling Trestman the best in the business a day ago.

I don't think the Bears are 2, but didn't really care about what the article thought. The biggest improvement I see on the team over all is Punter and some depth.
-
I wouldn't bet the under for sure, but there's too many question marks for me to bet the over. There Bears have a very tough schedule against great or atleast competitive teams. The Bills in week one seem like the easiest challenge. I want to put Minny in there, but I'm not sure the Linebackers and Safeties can stop peterson for games.
-
pat O'Donnell. Not cutting the other players short, but I think the change in punting will be drastic and have major effects in games. Of the others, I think Ratliff may surprise us the most with a really solid year.
-
I'd watch it, but i am not rooting for them to get it. I do think a player like Sam will be picked. A special teams type guy with a high motor.
-
I think they'll take Sam, would almost guarantee they get Hard Knocks.
-
Heck, he's 6'5" and a 30" vertical, use him in red zone.
