2014 NFL Draft Open Thread
I liked Bushrod coming in when he did it, keeping Jennings and Tillman and I was waving the Trestman flag after he was signed. There are just more things I don't like than do right now.

2014 NFL Draft Open Thread
I'm not talking about my choices. His first year was a complete bust outside of Jeffery. This year, the linebackers looked bad, but Long turned out great. He let Urlacher go too early imo. I didn't think Cutler deserved the contract this year. Spending on 3 DE's this year, even if Houston can move inside, and so on. I just don't like many of his decisions so far. Some I like, but the ones I don't like are outweighing the ones I do. Tucker keeping his job still boggles my mind.

2014 NFL Draft Open Thread
I'm at the point that I wish the GM would trade up and draft who I wanted. I definitely not sure on Emery. He's did a lot of things I haven't liked, more than things I do like so far.

I really didn't want to see a nickel CB in the first round with all the holes. Yea he will start next year, but they have massive needs now.

They better not draft a CB, Tillman is solid and will be here this year. They need starters at both free safety and strong, MLB and RT

If they only trade back a few I wouldn't mind. But I don't want to see to the end of the firstround or second.

They can have him. I know DT sucked last year for the Bears, but it was because of injuries. They just invested a lot in Houston and I think Ratliff will be solid

If the browns just new how to draft it'd be a good pick up for them since they are a few years away

In another thread I said im not a fan of trade downs but a first round pick from a bad team like the bills plus other picks is a good trade back to me

Damn the browns always make good trade downs

The positions that I wouldn't mind in the first : safety, mlb, right tackle, dt in that order. Now a special player may change that but any other position would be a fail imo.

Trade Down Option
I just think if there is a guy you like you take him, whether you can get him at the 10th or 20th pick. Trading down and taking a chance of losing that guy isn't worth it for a guy that will go in the third round for a reason. In this scenario, they could trade down and still get a good player, but will they get the one they see as the best? I wouldn't have minded a trade down when they drafted SMC, as he would likely been there. A top 15 guy is less likely.

Trade Down Option
I've never been a fan of trading down.

More reason to like Kyle Long
http://www.thepostgame.com/blog/good-sport...-chuck-e-cheese Bears Lineman Kyle Long Hangs Out With Bullied Youngster At Chuck E. Cheese Monday, May 5, 2014 12:08 amWritten by: ThePostGame Staff 764 153 16 It was fitting that, during a recent trip to Chuck E. Cheese, Bears offensive lineman Kyle Long scored in the "Pro Bowl" range of a game in which you toss footballs into small holes. After all, the 25-year-old Long, who was the Bears' 2013 first-round pick, earned a trip to the Pro Bowl in his first season in the league. But Long wasn't at Chuck E. Cheese to confirm his football fitness. No, he had a much better reason to hit up the arcade. Several weeks ago Frank Oyston, a Bears fan who lives in Huntley, Ill., reached out to Long to tell him that his 9-year-old son, Andrew, had been bullied on the school bus. Long told Oyston that he too had been bullied on the bus, and the 6-foot-5, 300-pounder even offered to ride along with Andrew. As it turned out, Long did Oyston one better than taking the bus with Andrew. Long came out to Andrew's sister's birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese and hit the arcade with the youngster. Later, Long went back to the Oystons' house to play catch with the kids and take some pictures. "I couldn't believe it," Oyston told Fox Sports of Long's generosity. “I didn’t think it was going to happen, but he followed through. He's a really good guy. He played games with him and played catch. You don’t expect that to happen nowadays. It really meant a lot." NFL Draft: How Family Motivates Florida State RB James Wilder Jr.

Legal trouble for new WR, Morgan
I hope he can catch the ball better than he speaks.

We got SF on the road in W2
It's good the Bears get them when the team should be healthy.

Joe Kim
I personally think he will have very little impact. Anything is worth a try, and I'm glad Emery is thinking out of the box. Here's a little vid of what he does. http://videos.cleveland.com/plain-dealer/2...joe_kim_wo.html
