Their situations are much more nuanced than that.

My biggest reason to get rid of Lovie is so he takes the Cover 2 with him, I want some fat boys clogging up the line. I don't want to go another year watching this style of defense vs Adrian Peterson.

I thought both our lines sucked and I don't remember blowing a team out by so much and it still feeling like we lost. O line coach needs to go, NOW.

Why did we start the game so pass happy? I know the running game wasn't exactly lighting it up but you can't just abandon it completely until late in the game. My biggest gripe however is that I don't think we even passed to him once. Whether on a dump off or a designed play, we need to get him the ball in space several times a game, especially if handing it off to him isn't yielding results.

Well as far as the news has been covered in Miami, a surveillance video shows the man walking out in front of Stallworth's car, anyone would have hit him. Him being over the legal alcohol limit although illegal, doesn't seem to be the reason for the tragedy. The news here has pretty much implied it was the man's fault without actually saying it since no one likes to place guilt the deceased. Either way, I don't think that the NFL excusing the Leonard Littles of the league is a good argument (not that you're trying to make this argument) in support of giving Vick a shot. I don't think ANY of them deserve to represent the NFL shield. The reason I see what Vick did as worse than what Stallworth did (even though the end result was worse in Stallworth's case) is their intent. Stallworth did not intend on hurting anyone or anything when he got in his car that night. Vick spent 6 years torturing and killing dogs with no remorse.

I guess I hadn't really given it thought from their point of view but, jesus christ, how much does it suck to be a denver fan right now? Going from Cutler to Orton? I just got a migraine when I tried putting myself in their shoes...

Signing Michael Vick is the only realistic scenario in which I would boycott the Bears. I'm not expecting our players to be choir boys, nor am I some PETA nutjob but this wasn't a one time mistake, it was a disgustingly cruel lifestyle that spanned over several years. I bleed navy & orange but I would not be able to watch nor root for the Bears until he was gone. Luckily, I don't see it happening in a million years...

I always thought Gage could be a prett good receiver if we developed him correctly. I wonder how much of it has to do with coaching and how much with our personnel (O-Line and QB)...

Why get cute? Give the ball to Forte every down from that distance, anyone doubt he'd get it in?

Forte would have about 4-5 more TDs if we stopped getting cute on the goaline with quick FB dives or quick passes. That would make him a lock for the probowl.

I won't speak for the Falcons since I don't follow them as closely, but the difference in Miami has been bringing in Chad Pennington, not coaching. Chad Penington completing passes and not turning the ball over is the real reason Miami is doing better this year than last. If their new coaching staff had to play with the players they had last year, the difference in the win column may have been 1 game, 2 max.

The guy busts his a$$ getting us into the redzone and then we give the ball to McKie or to the QB for a 1 yard plunge? What is this, Varsity Blues? Yesterday was like the 4th or 5th time that's happened and it drives me insane!!! The man should be rewarded for his effort and he seems too classy to b1tch about it so I'm doing it for him. Stats matter to most players on some level, and Pro Bowl voters can easily be swayed by flashy numbers. Not to mention we lost a game because we tried that FB dive instead of giving the rock to Forte twice. Full disclosure: Forte is on my fantasy team =)

I wasn't knocking Orton, just pointing out that EVERYONE knows Rex is gonna take many shots downfield and the Lions felt threatened enough that they dropped back their safeties more than they were doing against Kyle. I've also been impressed with Kyle's deeper passes this season but it's not really what he's known for and I'm sure his deep passing game doesn't put much fear into most D coordinators. The lions had no way of knowing if they were gonna get good rex or bad rex...

Am i the only one who thinks his blocking hasn't been the same this year? The wedge doesn't seem to be blowing up people like they used to. Watch the return Cribbs had today and you can see how blocking can open things up so you only have to beat a couple of defenders.

I don't think it's a coincidence that Forte ran better when Rex came in the game, defenses have to respect Rex's long ball and can't just key in on the run. Orton has proved alot to me this season and I do believe now that he is probably our best bet at winning most games, but lets give credit to Rex for helping bring us from behind to win a division game we easily could have lost.

Not to mention we play the Lions again lol.

On the bench, where he belongs in games like this. Our O line was not run blocking very well so we didn't run that often. Because of that, there weren't enough rushing carries to split between 2 backs.

Ouch.

I know he's questionable but haven't heard any gameday update yet.

Forgot to mention: MCKIE ON 3RD AND GOAL ARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Man that HURT. What happened? 1. Our defense couldn't stop 3rd and longs. 2. Our OLine sucks when rushing (but are ok in pass protection). 3. We didn't use our TEs enough in the first half. 4. Not much pressure on defense, even when blitzing. 5. Special Teams coverage and the damn squib kick at the end.
