Ahhhh, some good news to wake up to!

There's still tackle Shane Olivea from the Chargers.

In his last 4 games when he regained the starting position, he had 3 TDs and 1 Int. He threw for over 250 yards in 2 of those games. He was also sacked 16 TIMES. So despite pressure, which was always his kryptonite, Rex made plays and took care of the football for 4 straight games before his season ended. It's a small sample size, but it didn't look like a fluke to me personally. He was determined to not lose the ball.

This is awesome (not sarcastic). I truly believe Rex can be be a VERY good QB behind a decent OL. I was dreading the idea of him goin somewhere and finally shining after all the work we've put in through his injuries and growing pains. This is not blind faith either. I saw him improve his fundamentals this year despite zero running game (OL fault imo), horrendous pass blocking, and butterfinger receivers. I think most that won't give that credit to Rex are not being objective (not talkin bout you Nfo, you're generally pretty grounded in your analysis) and are being influenced by past emotions. I only hope we can fix the OL problems and find out once and for all what we have in him and Benson for that matter. I don't think many QBs or RBs can succeed behind the current line.

Lol trust me, I'm not ignoring that fact. The Wanny, Saban (aka Osaban bin lyin) , and Cameron staffs are HATED in Miami, not to mention they are considered some of the most inept in pro football. Think of how much we btiched about shoop and shea and multiply it times 10. Chambers has much more potential than Booker and in a stable offense would thrive imo. That doesn't take away Booker's consistancy the few times the ball went his way.

You're right, it makes no sense and that may be why that whole offensive staff is gone now. Chambers was the better athlete with high potential so the staff was determined to make him the number 1 guy despite his many drops. He'd have a couple of great games a year and the team would get enamored. I think you're making a mistake in thinking coaches would make the obvious decisions and call the right guy's number. You see the coaches making head scratching decisions during Bears games, right? It was 5 times worse in Miami. Cam Cameron had Ronnie Brown, their starting RB, returning kicks at the begining of the year for god's sake lol.

bradjock, I watch every Dolphins game and their QB situation has actually been much worse than ours. Not to mention that until this year, Chambers has been their number 1 receiver and gotten most passing plays called to him. The guy still catches everything thrown to him. He does seem really slow though. It's funny that this is even an issue now, I've been arguing all year with Dolfans how I'd LOVE to trade Moose for Booker and now we don't have to.
