  1. It's game day and the collective thought is that we go kick some Viking ass! Bear down! Thanks for the participation brothers!
  2. The big question of the day, in the media, is what do the Bears play for this Sunday? Do we play as if the Rams will lose and we have home field to gain? Do we play to rest nicked up players and hope to win? Rest starters knowing we'll meet again the following week? Or do we play like we want to make a statement and send the Vikings on vacation. Also to note was our preseason, where Nagy was huge on resting players for the upcoming season. The result was one of the least injured teams in the NFL. What is our collective thought on this? I'll start by saying, that we should do all that out takes to eliminate the Vikings now. I have a 4 fold reason why. 1) Vikings are very physical. Two games in a row with them could prove costly. 2) I'd rather face Philly. 3) Keep the routine and momentum going. 4) Make a statement, it's the f'n queens! Plus, I'm still pissed about the dirty hit on Trubisky. Thoughts?
  3. We offered a multi year deal. He turned it down for the one year deal.
  4. One more demon would be to whack Alshon who scorned us to go to Philly...?
  5. Wow! Gonna be prime time a lot next year. Tough schedule based on this season.
  6. Most GM's understand the "Mack effect" where it is a given that he makes people better. That will hold our defensive players in an affordable slot. You are correct in knowing that our players are going to be in higher demand due to success and winning. But, the good GM's and coaches manage it. 3 years from now, it's in Mitch hands to bridge the gap. Say a prayer for continued growth.
  7. IMO, every player should have them.
  8. Hopefully they are injury proof cocoon cleats!
  9. The only one I know of is a co-worker of mine. When we got Mack, he said "it's over" and went on to predict a division championship. I changed my prediction from 7-9 to 8-8 after Mack. That's why I get a little tense when folks tend to dwell on the negative.
  10. It would be smart to extend Floyd before he blows up. Keeping our pass rush inline will be huge for the future.
  11. I like the fact that we don't have that one guy that is consistently targeted. It also shows a good combination of play calling and Trubisky making good progressions. Another thing I love is the unpredictability of Nagy with the gadget plays and personnel utilization. It simply gives opposing teams "everything" to prepare for. Advantage Nagy.
  12. Holy bipolar growth chart Batman!
  13. One thing we will have to remember on every team building thread we have, is that we are now a place that free agents REALLY want to come. Teams in the window get a price break on FA's for a chance at glory.
  14. Since, you now, are being a condescending dick. Let me point out that I actually played football. I seriously doubt you have. As far as the simpleton comment is concerned, I find it laughable, as your football IQ is usually not worth responding to. Context... You may now have the final word, because I'm out.
  15. That is exactly the point regarding context. We were beating the brakes off of the number one team in the league and you were critiquing. That's just weird to me. Trubisky is more than Grossman ever was. He'll win us a Superbowl, but it may be his way, not yours.
  16. I'm both looking forward to and dreading this game. This is the Packers Superbowl and we should treat it as such. They have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
  17. Exactly! It's context related and "for the love of God", consider the source. We've had wins because the defense killed it and some because MT did. Those old enough to remember our last Superbowl know Jimmy Mac was far from perfect, yet he's a Bear legend for his contribution. MT had a clunker of a game, but still made plays to help us while out playing his counterpart.
  18. Good morning all! I'm still beaming from last nights game. On the Trubisky talk, I tend to focus on the positives, as that is all my simpleton mind can handle. Let's compare last nights quarterbacks and see how they stacked up. Trubisky lead in: TOP, passing yards, completion pct, TD's, first downs, 3rd down conv, rushing yards and head to head wins. ? Goff lead in turnovers, sacks and YPC. Yay! But, he'll go to the pro bowl as a consolation. Trubisky made one dumb decision, all game, that we know of. Two of his INT's were great reads to wide open receivers.(Yup, he sailed them) Shoulder, check. Win, check check!! ?
  19. But yet beat the great Jared Goff. Get a grip. We are winning with this guy...
