Looks like the Vegas odds makers like us to be competitive this week. Or they have no confidence in Baker.

We've compared Jalen Carter and Gervon Dexter physically. Now that I've seen them play against NFL talent. There is no more comparison. Carter is different, in a special way. Dexter is a fine piece, but may end up being a NT. I still like OL with our first pick. Imagine how it would look of we didn't get Wright...

Flus had a one on one meeting with Claypool today. He would not elaborate on the content, other than Claypool knows exactly what the expectation is. Weird note; reporter asked Flus about Claypool going to the medical tent twice during the game, Flus's response was "there is no injury" and had no further comment.

Just watched the O'Sullivan report. Holy crap, I could only get through the first half of it. Davis needs benched until he learns the playbook and finishes Jenny Craig. Claypool needs to sit. At least ESB will hit someone. Fields needs to start ripping the ball. Whatever trust exercises they need to do, must be done ASAP! My thoughts are that the off season created a little false confidence, with all of the editions and expected improvements from within. Getsy and Flus thinking Fields looking okay in 7 on 7's was a huge mistake by not plaything him against the Colts. (BTW, Kap was right) My expectation is that Monday morning, the coaches apologized to the team for not having them ready to compete. After, that a major ass ripping occurred in the unit meetings, when the position coaches got to their film and assignment responsibilities. We'll see a much more focused and physical team this Sunday against Tampa. Win or lose, we shouldn't be having an OMG Monday. If so, we have a major problem.

???. You sir, are a true Bears fan...??????

Gotta throw downfield at least 4 times a game. I don't care if they tell him to rip it no matter what. It has to happen. 1, 2, 3 rip! Sometimes it as simple as, "Mooney is going to do a double move. Hit him at X".

Trust me, this is not a pat on my own back. But, OL and DL is all I can truly evaluate. We gave up the most pressures recorded in the last three years. This OL needs Jenkins back badly. (It's been well documented, that I don't trust Jenkins to prepare his body) Poles failed to fix it, when he could of, which is his first true black mark. No more Mr nice guy. Never trust dealing with the Steelers and Titans again, because they knew they were sending us shit. Poles will remember those dirty deeds. Fool me once...

Davis gave up 8 pressures...

The weather is going to be 93° and oppressively humid. Nate Davis may not make it out of the first series. Flus honestly needs to play Carter Sunday. Davis was so bad Sunday, I would consider benching him if Carter holds his own.

Kyle Brandt just called out one of the Bears players, saying he looked like he didn't want to be there. He said it was obvious and it was a player we all know. He wouldn't name a name, but said the player may not be on the team tomorrow. Brandt doesn't go that far, unless he really sees something. My signal was really really poor yesterday due to steaming, because of Direct TV dispute with the mayor networks. Who is the player? I'm only guessing Claypool or Jackson...

If you are calling me out, so be it. Character is not required to be a fan of any sport. The Bears were completely dominated today. Was is out of arrogance or entitlement? Not really. My thought is that they relaxed with the departure of Rodgers and took all of our additions for granted. A come to Jesus week is upon us. Shitty day for the beloved...

I'm drinking now, so riddle me this. We get the first two picks and trade them for a ransom, because this is a deep QB and WR class. Parlay the top two into 6 picks in the first three rounds, plus two firsts the next year. Blah

It's Fields. If it's a downfield pass, he waits too long and either takes a sack or runs. For some reason he doesn't have the coincidence or trust to let it rip. He has the worst rhythm of any starting quarterback I have ever seen. (No exaggeration) Folks can blame the OL all they want. It's Fields...

We need it because Fields ain't him...

Man, the balls on Dan Campbell...

Here's one from The Athletic that discusses our roster from three scouts' perspectives. https://theathletic.com/4838561/2023/09/07/bears-2023-roster-scouting-report?source=user-shared-article

Davis is a concern. Talk out of Tennessee is that Vrabel "hates" Nate Davis the football player and was glad to see him go. Money was not the reason, because they signed his replacement to a similar contract. It had also been said, that he will not suit up unless he is 100%. As a whole, I'm extremely concerned about our OL. At the end of the draft weekend, I thought we were mostly covered with the drafting of Darnell Wright the prior signing of Nate Davis. So, now we have Wright dealing with an ongoing ankle issue as a rookie. Davis had one padded practice the entire of season. Patrick is oft injured and not our first choice at center. Cody has a brace on his right hand and replaced Jenkins, who I am on record with not trusting to be a professional. Lastly, Jones is the only Iron man for the second year in a row. 80% of our OL is starting the season below optimal health and continuity. Fu@k!

Everyone should be sleeping on Fields until he shows that he can get rid of the ball. People compare him to Lamar, but Lamar has never hesitated to pull the trigger or run. Fields needs to cut the sacks and batted balls in half this season.
