  1. I did a mock on PFF and made 4 trades to end up at 14. Got 10 picks in the first 100 and a first next year.
  2. The more I chew on it, the more I want an extra first rounder for next year. This year is for building the foundation and completely evaluating Fields future. 2024 will either be time to contend or draft a new QB. The extra pick will really help either way.
  3. It's like having ants in a jar; everything's fine until you shake it.
  4. You know what's funny, is that all three you mentioned could have that identical stat line and I would be very happy with it.
  5. Owners want a HC that projects well in front of the team and press.(see Nagy) To me, Beineimy is kinda short and dumpy, not very charismatic. Sort of the same with Jim Caldwell. I would hire Caldwell on a New York minute. In 30 years of corporate America, I've been discriminated against for being male, white and overweight. It's a bitch. The race stigma is slowly going away. Look at our GM and president. There's still work to do.
  6. We did when we drafted Fields. Anyway, I'm not sure the Texans need a QB as bad as most say. Davis Mills can throw the ball. He needs weapons just like Justin. They are guaranteed to NOT say a damn thing about it, because they are in a prime spot to screw the Colts. I'm really starting to feel for the Colts fans in my community.
  7. I like it. Now is not the time for mediocre.
  8. He never called plays full time because Reid wouldn't give it up.
  9. I'm not concerned with drafting from any school. A player is a player...
  10. Trading Fields would be dumb as hell. He is serviceable, while on his rookie deal. The way this draft should pan out, Poles should have an additional first rounder for next year's draft if he finds it necessary to get a QB. The team bad would be built for the new guy. Lastly, the USC QB will be the prize next year making it a benefit to wait.
  11. He a shown that he can't make those throws yet. His release is still slow to go along with him telegraphing it. The DL has all the time they need to get their hands up in the perfect place. He must fix that.
  12. Look no further than the Bears, Browns and Broncos in the last several years.
  13. This is the longest I've ever seen an owner on "full tilt". I'm a Bears fan, tried and true, but I'm kinda starting to feel sorry for the Colts fans. They were all over it today on ESPN Chicago. I'm starting to think it may be better to get a deal done before the draft so Irsay doesn't get squirrelly when the pressure of the draft ramps up. It would also prevent Poles from making the mistake of getting too greedy. Irsay and Ballard both know they are going to have to overpay, so negotiations should go smoothly if everyone plays nicely.
  14. I'd take nothing less than their 2024 1st rounder. Then, fleece the Colts...
  15. Thought Greg Olsen did a great job doing color.
  16. Now that Getsy completely knows what he has, I think some changes will be made. Of course overall talent effects how the defense reacts to any given play. The fact we rarely threatened downfield last season lead to a lot of loaded boxes to deal with. That in turn did lead to some monster runs from Fields. This year should provide a little more balance. What I am looking for is for us to develop some "go to" plays for the 4th quarter and key situations.
  17. I actually would prefer it. If I were GM, it would remove a little clutter and allow me to focus more down the road. That time would allow for more conversations with other GM's and possibly nail some more great trades.
  18. Jim Irsay has shown again that he is on full tilt. They are letting the world know who they are hiring and it's Jalen Hurts OC. That also means they are all out committed to a mobile quarterback. There may be a bidding war for our pick. Let the fleecing begin! For all we know, we may trade that pick weeks before the draft, if someone demands.
  19. C'mon man, you know better. One gets 14 sacks, while the other gets 8. But the one that gets 8 sacks, has 3ff, 8tfl and far exceeds in run defense. Stats are BS.
  20. Me too. Keep the defibrillator handy...?
  21. They call that the blue pill scenario...????
  22. He's gotta stay a backup or go. If GB wanted him, they would've kept him, especially after losing their starting center to the Chargers. I don't want anyone's backups starting for this team unless there is a very reasonable explanation for it.
