Ready for "TJ/Matt is our quarterback?"
Lovie interviews for Texans I am actually happy to see him possibly get another coach. I think he is a good coach... Just needs an offense that is independent to be successful.

Cutler Expected to Start against the Lions
Just saw it on NFL.com's breaking news section. no story to link to at this time.

stop gap: asomugha?
If that was in response to my post check out my wording... "finding it hard to be covered" as in nobody is covering them.
-
stop gap: asomugha?
also it should be mentioned that Philly landed him when he was widely considered one of the best cover guys. He then flopped in the zone scheme of the eagles. Opposing receivers are already finding it hard to be covered by the Bears D. We shouldn't make it easier on them.
- DJ Williams could be out for the season

Josh Freeman?
I read somewhere that he is still owed about 6.7 mil for this season so any team that trades for him will have to absorb that into the cap. On top of that he becomes a free agent next year so essentially you would be losing a draft pick, then paying double what most highly paid backups receive, and not only would he not know the offense but he could be gone on the first day of free agency. I wouldn't mind taking a look if he gets cut, but the Bucs gain nothing by cutting him.

All hail Jay Cutler!
is exactly what i was thinking as well.

final cuts
Just saw on ESPN that Hardin was technically waived/injured since he apparently fractured his scapula in the Brown game. If he passes through the waiver wire then he will end up on the Bears IR. The guy is made of glass.

Nate Collins Resigned to 1 year deal
Per ESPN Wow really out of it... sorry for the double post

Urlacher talking to Queens
Me thinks this may have something to do with our apparent interest in Loadholt. But even the reports indicate that the vikings ultimately believe he'll be back with the Bears. It wouldn't surprise me if they were letting this out in the hopes the Bears are forced to pay more than they want, plus I'm sure Urlacher is just getting a feel for what he is worth as leverage.

Spaeth cut
His cap hit was 2.5m if we was on the team.. 1.25ish with him cut
-
Te'o
We can always extend him an invite to camp after the draft
-
Toub being shown the door?
From when I've been reading he is leaving because he would have been in direct competition with whoever they hire and they wanted to avoid that awkward situation.
-
Offseason
The reason he might hit the market largely has to do with his expected tag salary. If they can't get a long term deal done then his tag number will be something ridiculous like 17 mil.

Bears vs Packers
I know the exact play you speak of it was the roll out where he tried to throw deep to Marshall in the end zone against double coverage. It was hester on check down all alone by the sideline. Wouldn't have been a TD but he could've picked up another 10 yards easy

Anyone know how Hardin and Conte are doing?
According to the tribune i believe (not sure where I read it today), Conte was at practice and was without the sling. no timeline on return. Hardin was at practice with a neck brace and not expected back for 2 weeks minimum. follow up test to be done on his neck

Urlacher undergoes knee surgery
Chicago Tribune According to the article it was a scope and the plan currently is that he will be ready for Indy. Even if his timetable is 3 weeks to return, I can't imagine putting him out there after he has been sitting for 4 weeks. I bet he returns for week 3.

Benson signs with the Pack
There was an interview he did a few weeks back where he got all emotional and wondered why no one would take a chance on him. This was also after he stated he wouldn't accept the veteran minimum salary.
