They changed the rule so that the player doesnt nedd to be designated when they go on IR. They just need to be out the requisite time before they can be brought back. And I believe two players can be brought back now. Though I dont know if that is accurate or my brain conjured that.

I call BS! I've never seen White that open.

With Goff I always had the feeling (from interviews and the things he said) that he was kind of an idiot. Maybe I am a bit biased, but I haven't gotten that feeling from Trubisky.

NFL.com is reporting that after Cruz visits the Jags he is planning to come to Chicago for a visit on Monday.
  8. That sounds pretty similar to the bears receivers.
  9. the last i heard on the topic, the seahawks were looking for a pick and a player for him.
  10. This has come out as completely false. The problem with trading alshon is that no team can negotiate a new contract until after the season is over because of his tag. Additionally it was reported that expected price would be a midround pick. A pick the bears would most likely still get if they let him walk after the season in a compensatory pick. So there is no upside to trading Alshon at this junction, and a major downside for any team that might want to pick him up. They would have to over pay for a player that they may not be able to retain after the season is over.
  11. what about Shane Falco?
  12. Oh that's what you are supposed to do. Throw it up to jeffery
  13. I can't imagine what the game plan could be? Punt until they are too tired to play?
  14. If this was the offense the bears were going to bring out today you might as well have started clausen

Unless you are at the doctor's office.. then it just means its going to hurt like hell.
  16. Cutler reportedly came out of the locker room before the half. Hopefully that means he will be going in to start the second half
  17. At least he excels at taking up empty space
  18. Is is too soon to call Fuller a bust? What I saw today was no ability to cover or tackle.
  19. It looks like the Achilles heel of this defense is being on the field
  20. Half time show mentioned 7/10
  21. Eh his signing was a long shot. Looks like this one just didn't pay off.
  22. Did Lovie hire Babbich for DC?
  23. Per NFL Network the suspension is for an indefinite amount of time.

With the diminished importance of kick-offs in the NFL these days i think even that might be too high. All told I would offer either vet minimum or up to 1 mil a year with performance escalators such as punt/kick off return average over X number of returns or number of TDs scored to get to the 2-3 mil point. If he can average 16 yards a punt return, 30 yards kick-off return and net 2-3 TDs then he is definitely worth about 3 mil a season. I think the days of pure returners are over. Unless he can do all 4 phases of special teams then he will quickly end up an afterthought.
  25. MccClellin to LB? Bears head coach Marc Trestman added: "We'll look hard at Shea doing other things besides being lined up at defensive end. If that means moving him to a linebacker position as we move forward, that will be under consideration as well. But there's no doubt as Phil and I watched the tape this week that he's capable of more, and we'll work toward that as we move forward. He's got it in him. It's our job as coaches, and it starts with me, to get him in a position to be more successful, and we feel confident we can get that done."
