And its. Wait for it... Bobby Wade... yuck
-
It was reported that he experienced a stinger against denver and was held out because of that. But I don't remember where I saw it
-
Or it could be because tillman stated that he wasn't sure if would be ready for green bay or not.
-
So I think McDaniels could be in the running for league MVP this year
-
We miss him? anyone else do the math? He rushed for 747 yards in "a little more" than half a season (12 games or 3/4 of a season). That would equate to 996 yards for a full season of work. oh and averaged 3.5 yards a carry as well. Which I don't know about anyone else, sure makes me sad that we gave the ball to a rookie who ended with 1800+ total yards last year. But then again he would've had 1800 yards rushing playing for the bears easily.
-
I'm not sure where I saw it but it was stated that he tweaked his hamstring so its nothing to worry about at this time.
-
I think its because noone expects TO to stay
-
There is a good chance that he had a little bit of the deer in the headlights going on. I mean I knew the Bears were going after Cutler, but like everyone else on this board I didn't expected anything to come from it. I figured JA would give his offer and say take it or leave it and some other team would just add something to sweeten the deal. So I'll give Urlacher the benefit of the doubt on this one. Even I didn't know how to respond when friends(non Bears fans) started bombarding me with texts asking how happy I was.

I think this could be a legitimate concern. I am a workout-aholic. if i have to miss time i don't gain weight. i lose it. I'm not some huge body building guy. I'm 5'11" 180 lbs. Now granted if he is traveling around a lot, keeping a consistant diet isn't going to be easy. But for those that know their diets well its easy to find things that won't throw your body into turmoil

I think we should bring him in. Losman may be similar to grossman but we don't have grossman anymore. so we get a QB like grossman but without him getting booed every time he sees the field
-
Not to mention that there is no way Ced's ego would fit in a complementary role. Remember according to Ced he would've had 126,050 yards rushing last year if he had Forte's running lanes... in one game

Pats tag Cassel Well not that I wanted Cassel anyway, but it looks like he is off the market.

Does anyone else notice how a lot of people on this board wouldn't give up a number 1 for Boldin, but there is a lot of people who think we need to go WR at #18? I say if the staff wants to get a WR at #18 then why not give it to AZ plus a second or third round pick in compensation for knowing Boldin isn't a bust. Its either that or flip that coin to see if we get a good WR. However if the staff doesn't want a WR at #18 then there is no way a trade could be made for Boldin. I know that if I felt inclined to take a WR in the first round I would absolutely give up a 1st and 2nd or 3rd round pick plus a 6th or 7th if it came down to it, just to know that I would be getting a quality player as opposed to a gamble.
-
How about we trade for Boldin and maybe they'll throw Leinart on there to sweeten the deal. You know kind of one of those buy Boldin at full price get Leinart for free deals.

Actually Bennett was credited for having a few plays at the end of the Lion's game, but they were all running plays

There is no point in going after Quinn right now. The Browns would be dumb to get rid of him until they are certain that Anderson will have another good year. I think Quinn or Anderson will be available after this season. It just all depends on if one of them has a good season. If Quinn is available Id be willing to give up a 1st and a 3rd for him. Its a much better option to get a guy who would be ready to start next season AND was coached by a different team, than to use our first on a drafting a QB who may not be ready to play for another 2-4 years. Just my two cents. But I've advocated all along that I would love to get Quinn next year.
-
Would that also mean that Orton would have the advantage for the preseason up to this point? since it was clear that grossman did not get as many reps with the first team office as Orton in the last game.
-
The article also said they were limited to individual drills for the time being

In talking to a friend of my today that was born and raised in Wisconsin, I noticed how much a simple change of uniform can really change your perception of someone. This time last year I would have argued debates over how much I disliked Farve, and he would support him, naturally. Today, with enough irony to choke a king, I saw our roles invert. I just kept defending Farve against his tirade of hatred. And I stand by that. I hope Farve finishes out his career with a bang. Unless he comes back to Chicago. Then I hope the only bang there is, is his body being slamped against the ground repeatedly. But it definitely makes me hate him a lot less knowing that we would only see him this year if BOTH the Jets and the Bears made it to the SB. How unlikely is that?
-
I think everyone is looking into this too much. If the natural progression of alternating with the first string were to continue into the game Orton would be the starter. Couple that with the fact that Grossman won the coin toss to start training camp with the first team and I think thats where the decision was made.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3512348 The Green Bay Packers, unable so far to trade Brett Favre and facing his arrival at training camp, are reportedly considering taking a step they desperately wanted to avoid: dealing him to a division rival. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, citing a source close to the situation, on Wednesday reported the Packers were considering seeking a deal with one of their rivals, most likely the Minnesota Vikings or Chicago Bears, if all else fails.
